This review ONLY compares my experience with other fast food breakfast offerings from McDonald's, Wendy's, and Sonic. Food: - Breakfast Burger Combo ($12.50). A large sesame seed bun filled with a gently fried, fluffy egg, charbroiled hamburger patty (take THAT McDonalds!), cheese, bacon, tater tots, and ketchup. I had my doubts about a fried egg and a beef patty on a breakfast sandwich. Hands down--the BEST fast food sandwich I've ever eaten! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - Croissant Sunrise Sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese Combo ($8.50). Again, the egg was fluffy and perfect. The sausage patty, and the croissant was buttery, moist, and didn't fall apart! TAKE THAT SONIC! - Sides: A carton of Tater Tots with each combo. The Tots are crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. - Drink: I chose Barq's Root Beer from the self-serve soda fountain. LOVE Root Beer, but you get coffee, OJ, Coke products, and others. Service: Very prompt and friendly. She even brought the food to our table! TAKE THAT WENDY's! Ambiance: Very clean, bright, and inviting. My Check In photo shows the inside. Got the Diablo burger with the app. It was fast and I don't know why I don't make this stop more often. Their prices are comparable to other places maybe even slightly less expensive now that everyone raised their prices so high. Quality burger and good service. I was happy. read more

I have not eaten at a Carl's for decades but I've been seeing the ads for the new Beyond Famous Star Burger so I talked my guy into going with me. To be honest I wasn't drawn to this because it "bleeds" like meat, ewwwww , or looks like beef. I just wanted to try something with a different flavor than a black bean burger and a much different texture also. What really got me to try this at Carl's was the coupon. I must say this burger was really good. I miss the messiness of a burger due to the sauce (even if it's the old ketchup and mayo combo) and have always missed that with veggie burgers. This burger did not disappoint. I loved the texture and flavor. It reminded me of the regular meat Famous Star burger my other half was eating at the same time as I was! It was the same style as his and we actually ate a burger together! This location was ok. It could use an update but the folks behind the counter have been friendly and the food comes out hot and pretty quick. read more

The best Carl's we've ever experienced in the country. Always great food either inside dining or drive thru... Always. Super clean inside and outside. Polite/kind staff and what blew me and my wife away was the senior discount at first we thought they got our order wrong and as we sat down my wife looks at the receipt she noticed the senior discount, we thought we're not old but realized time waits for no one, the spirit is young only the body ages. What was disappointing is when the salsa bar was removed a few years back we loved it especially during breakfast. We always would get the coupons in the mail but never used them because we thought you don't need to buy our patronage you guys are awesome now when the grandkids visited we would use them (19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren) When we travel throughout the states we are always disappointed because we are use to the quality of this Carl's. We have found another good Carl's in the Springs off of Voyager which was great as well. The staff are always kind and friendly and the food is always well prepared. Thank you so much! read more

Sour Dough burger for lunch was 3 stars maybe 4 if I'm being nice. The burger was good enough to make me come back for breakfast which was terrible. The menu on the drive thru had water on it on a clear morning so you couldn't clearly read it. There's no screen to check your order. I got home and realized they gave me the wrong food. Drove all the way back went inside to explain what happened. The girl came out of the back office, reached her bare hand into the bag with rest of my food pulled out the wrong sandwich walked back a minute later with the right sandwich and didn't say a word. No apology. No have a nice day. Nothing. The replacement sandwich was somehow cold even tho I stood there while they made it. I took one bite and threw it away. The hash browns were nasty. If it wasn't for that lunch this would be one star. I would recommend McDonald's or chick fil a nearby instead for breakfast. Note: the cheese in the sandwich melted a little while it was wrapped up before I opened it back up to take the picture. This location is very friendly and pretty quick. My question is about cleanliness. Today, I ordered breakfast and found 2 hairs on my hash browns (one short and curly and one short and straight-like a pet hair; no kidding). It was a quiet night in Colorado and I was craving something savory bur with a hint of sweetness. Then it came to me... CARLS JUNIOR! I rushed to my Subaru Outback and began to turn on the engine. But alas... it wouldn't turn on I grabbed my phone and called my handy man Mike Thurman. Lucky me he was able to tow car my round his place. When we got there I was to stunned to speak CARLS JUNIOR was right in front of my eyes. The building the building had a sudden golden glow and I quickly speed walked to the door. I opened it and was immediately struck with the smell of amazing fast food my mouth started to drool, and my taste buds got excited. I walked up to the cashier who was looking at me with a rather blank face not knowing the joy I was having. I ordered the BIG CARL and a side of scrumptious French fries along with it a large doctor pepper. I must say it was a meal for champions just like the Denver nuggets brining it home!!! Once the worker had handed me my food I ran out back to my old pal Mike Thurmans house where my Subaru Outback seemed to be working. My eyes filled with tears of happiness as I ran to give big ol' Mike a hug. I explained fo him my situation then presented the bag of CARLS JUNIOR. We sat in the back seat of my now working Subaru Outback and shared a quiet scrumptious meal. To this day this is one of my favorite moments as 40 year old girl just looking for some good food and a friend to share it with. Tampika, one of the few employees who keep this place alive, was willing to replace my order after a minor feud with my original order. But that girl was one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. Carl's jr is awesome. It's pretty expensive for fast food, but whenever I feel like a fast burger that does NOT taste like a fast food burger I pick me up a good ol 6 dollar original cheeseburger. It really hits the spot. Their other burgers are tasty as well. They have the best BBQ sauce that I looove dipping my fries in! The desserts aren't very good, but I've personally never been fond of the desserts they carry at fast food places... I bet the poptart icecream sandwich is AWESOME when you're stoned though, haha! I went to the Carls Jr on Tower Rd and Green Valley Ranch. I ordered the Guacamole Thickburger and asked to VEG IT. The girl proceeds to ask me what size patty. So, I say "VEG IT PLEASE". And she again, asks me which patty. So I say VEG! VEGG IT! VEG!. And then she finally says "oh the low carb?". And again I say "no... VEG!" So she says "yes, the low carb with turkey". At this point I am frustrated, so I say "No, not low carb, VEG!! VEGGIE, NO MEAT". She finally says, "oh no meat". ..... wow... Then, I ask her how much the veg guac burger is... its almost $5! So to verify, I ask, "its $5 and there is no meat patty on there??" And she confirms. After all that hassle, I didn't even get the burger because its OVERPRICED! I ended up getting a huge bean and cheese burrito and fries for $4. As I pull up to the window (drive thru), the girl doesn't even greet me or even utter a word, she just opens the window and stares at me until I give her payment. I am reviewing this one particular location. I have never gone to another so this is review is specific. GOD, why does it take such a long time to get your food here? Especially in the mornings. I have waited for 15 minutes in the drive-thru, waiting for my 2 breakfast sandwiches. I am not exaggerating. I'm compelled to finally write a review after a good few years of getting sub-par service. This morning, I go there for breakfast and after a few minutes of waiting at the drive-thru menu, I realize no one's there. I come to the parking lot, get out and look through windows and the power's off with no one inside. No signs, no nothing. This is just inexcusable. Since I'm on here, let me write about my overall experience with this store. For starters, the service on average is very slow. There is always wait on your order even if you're the only car in the drive-thru. If there's a line, I hope you're listening to an audio book. And what's even worse, I don't remember the last time a cashier even bothered to apologize for the wait. Even managers don't apologize! One day, they completely screwed up my order so I go in to get it fixed. The cashier doesn't apologize. She grabs the manager, she speaks to me about the mix up, doesn't apologize. Fixes the order, gives me the food, STILL doesn't apologize and just says, "Here you go," and not even a "Have a nice day." I felt like a burden to them. It's clearly evident the problem lies with the owner. The owner enables poor managers, which leads to poor crew, which leads to poor service. Corporate really needs to reevaluate this location because I honestly cannot remember the last time I had friendly service with an accurate order. One final note: This location also has the most inconsistent chocolate malt of pretty much any restaurant I've been to. I'll get malts that aren't mixed well, too much malt, not enough, too little chocolate., etc. I loved Carl's in California, and I just want this location to match their quality. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. This is the closest Carl's to my house and has let me down with each chance I give them. Somehow they think it's fine to charge 7$ for a single burger that looks nothing better than what I could get for 3$ at McDonald's up the street and tastes like charred grill. Customer service is awful, people in the drive-through do not listen and wonder why we always have to go back inside and get the order fixed because they forgot something or messed something up. 5 chances is enough. It's good to know that there is still a fast food chain that still cooks their burgers fresh without changing the ingredients of the meat. Its nice to see that this chain does not cook the burgers and throw them into a steamer to keep them warm and cut corners. Don't change, the grilled taste of a burger is refreshing to enjoy when all the others are trying to reinvent the Burger and some even use Teflon to cook theirs. read more

Stopped in here for lunch the other day and the counter staff was very friendly and cordial. Not what I expect generally at fast food restaurants. I used to work at one of these 20 years ago so I know what it's like behind that counter. Anyway, had the 2 chili dogs for $3 special. Not bad. I'm not sure what has happened over the last year or so, but the whole experience at this particular location has taken a sharp nosedive. The food is mediocre at best (even for fast food), and once you finally receive your order it may be lukewarm or more on the cold side which has caused me to throw out quite a bit of it. The service is okay I guess, some employees don't seem to care about being there at work which reflects in their attitude/effort.
