I drive to/from Arizona frequently, and I used to stop at the golden arches in Banning and Blythe because they have diet Dr. Pepper. After one too many $14-$15 meals with a microwaved, smashed burger & one lonely pickle chip, and coffee that was usually stale and burnt, I stopped buying these items and just purchased a diet Dr. Pepper on my visits. Driving to Arizona about 3 months ago, I stopped in Banning for a diet Dr. Pepper. I was hungry, but I figured the soda would suffice. Something finally clicked, and I couldn't make myself drive into the golden arches parking lot. Carl's Jr. is on the same street, and that's where I landed. What a fantastic difference! I was happily surprised that Carl's Jr. has diet Dr. Pepper, on that point alone I'm a committed customer. Martin was working at the counter, and he was welcoming and kind. I also ordered a large coffee, which was being made while I waited. My first visit here was a light year improvement over the countless golden arches visits I've made in Banning. I've visited 3 more times during this 3-month period, and I've always been treated with kindness and consideration. The employees make me feel glad that I've stopped in - a wonderful, refreshing interlude in the middle of the long drive. On my last visit I ordered chicken stars and medium fries. My meal was hot, delicious, and satisfying. No microwaves in sight, no smashed buns, no lonely pickle chips - Carl's Jr. food is freshly prepared and tastes good. I think prices are comparable to the golden arches, but the food is far superior and definitely a value for the dollars I spend. Bonus - the coffee is excellent - fresh, and a good strength. The team works quickly, and they pay attention to each other, and to their customers. Someone is aware of every customer who walks through the front door. I've never had to stand there hoping an employee will walk by or glance at the counter to see if any customers are waiting for help. If you're stopping in Banning for a snack or meal, I recommend you visit Carl's Jr. You won't be disappointed. read more

Today, Walked in to order a burger. Very polite staff was able to use my money with out being patronized. Had two 20 as my meal was 20 bucks and few cents. What happened to your chicken strips ? They used to be good. Tonight they were small, dried out, and so tough it hurt my teeth to bite into them. For $7 for 3 small chicken pieces maybe you shouldn't serve food thats been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. Serving food like this is probably why you have only a 2 star rating. read more

Fast food is fast food. Not the best but it's quicker than cooking at home. What I'm writing about here is how after you pay for your meal at the drive up window, they have you pull forward in order to make the timer reset so it looks like the customer got fast service. Very weird place. The cashier and manager seemed very confused and took forever to place my order. After my order was placed, the food came out very quick for a Carl's Jr to the point I think my burger was pre made and sitting around. It tasted ok. Vegetarians / vegans be warned. I ordered a beyond vegetarian burger and was given a beef burger. I'm curious if me using a coupon had anything to do with it. My husband and I drove through this 1888 W.Ramsey St, Banning, CA location for lunch and had a coupon for 2 for $7 1/3 pound thick burgers. We also ordered a medium soda and medium fries. They told us it cost over $16 and we weren't thinking about the price and handed them the coupon and paid cash. We never got a receipt and they asked us to pull forward to wait for the food to be delivered. After leaving and getting on the freeway, we realized it seemed awfully expensive for the meal when we had that coupon. My wife asked me to pick up food on my way home from work because 2 days earlier she got food poisoning from Applebees and was too weak to cook. She was finally feeling well enough to eat so I picked up a burger for her at Carl's Jr. I was the only person in the drive through and I waited for a very long time. The cars started to pile up behind me and when I looked through the window I saw employees just standing there doing nothing. There was one employee though, his name was Ronaldo, and he was running all over the place taking orders, making drinks, grabbing orders, and just hustling while the others sat there and talked to each other. We're travellers and excited the day when we saw Carl's jr to have a late lunch only to be told that I can't seat inside and for me to wait 20 mins because she's sanitizing and mopping the floor. There's outdoor seating but who wants to sit outside with no umbrella's under 100 degree sun! On a road trip and needed to eat so we stopped at this Carl's. Great choice for us. First off, friendly customer service. The employees went out of their way, they were awesome! The burgers, hot dogs, bean & cheese burrito and chicken strips were delicious! My mom requested green sauce and was accommodated. I'm a hot dog person and other burger places have tried to bring hot dogs into their menus and have failed. The Carl's hot dog is great. I asked about relish but I was told they don't have relish but the employee did not stop there. He offered other condiments that would totally go with hot dogs. I'm sad to say I did not get the employees name but we were in Carl's today around 11:30 and he was working the drive thru but was also serving food, that's where I talked with him. June 30th, we ordered drive through. The drive through speaker was very hard to hear and even harder to understand. We finally ordered, then we waited. We were told, with a rude gesture, to move forward and wait for our order. We waited over 8 minutes. An employee walked out to give another car their order... she walked very slowly. She seemed to be bothered and then we realized that she was smiling at a woman in another car that had just walked into the restaurant with her own big thermos to get ice. She was clearly a friend or relative of the employee. I walked into the counter and asked for my food which was just siting there. When I got to the car, my wife opened her burger and it was a soggy mess... with a wilted piece of lettuce and smashed bread bun. I walked back into the restaurant... the pregnant manager, was told I wanted to speak to her and she ignored me. After 5 mins she told another girl to help me. I finally got a burger that was somewhat acceptable. However, it was a very disappointing interaction. This location is an embarrassment to the Carl's Jr. chain. This Carl's Jr. Was recently remodeled and let me tell you, it looks so much better than it did before. I have eaten inside twice now since they remodeled and it's very comfortable in there. The staff is very friendly and they bring you out your food. The food quality here is fresh and delicious. I love that they have The Green Burrito menu too. read more
