After 2 days and no response, I sent a MyChart message and I got a response saying Dr. Boos said I would need to see a gynecologist for this prescription. As a former primary care doctor myself, I was shocked by this response. Prescribing birth control is a basic component of women's health that every PCP I've ever had and known as a colleague has done without question. Needless to say I will be finding a new doctor.

When you call A PERSON picks up. Now a days that is rare, very rare. PCPs are starting to be what we call Foundation Doctors and answering service, a long list of Robot options and maybe after 20 minutes you get to this to a voice mail and pray you pick of the phone when they call back. I personally have had some medical conditions requiring multiple specialists and multiple exams. MRI, Mammograms, US....my social life is seeing doctors and I am on first name basis with Newport Diagnostic Center.
