man, i love alamin. it's super unassuming and not the most visually stunning restaurant ever, but…read morethey cook up some damn good food. friendly staff. the charcoal-grilled pomfret is stellar. the fish is cooked perfectly with a lot of that grill flavour coming through, topped with garlic and herb-spice sauces, and served atop a lot of lightly-fried basmati rice. at $16, this dish is not budget-friendly, but i do recommend it. a lot of middle eastern restaurants will season their chicken shawarma a lot more than alamin does, but alamin's is still delicious and has a really nice clean flavour to it. they use good quality chicken, and it's cooked to a tender texture. their falafel is unique with some kind of hot sauce added to the fava/chick pea mixture. extremely crispy, almost too much. i like my falafel with more prominent herb and spice flavours, but this one is still worth trying. alamin is definitely a must-try for fans of mediterranean and middle eastern cuisines. just don't expect too much from the decor

That said, this place offers great meals at great value. It is a departure from typical Indian restaurants as it provides a mix of different cusines. I would particularly recommend their shish kabob platter and their chilli chicken..

Honestly, this place has quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten. The food tastes very fresh…read moreand the meat is always good and not fatty. Service here is also very friendly, it's the only place I get food when I go to Limeridge and I always make sure to stop by for something. I'm never left hungry, yet don't feel stuffed, it's just the right amount. Being a little more in-depth, the meat is prepared very well and the whole work area was clean, I didn't check behind the scenes much so you'll have to take my word for it, ask an official reviewer for that. Can't say I know much more though, all I know is I look forward to another great meal.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The outdoor seating area is a real highlight, with a large patio offering nice views of Lake Ontario, perfect for a sunny afternoon. One thing to note: if you're dining outdoors around midday/lunchtime, it can get quite loud - worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. This may also have been because we were seated next to a large party. Otherwise, a solid spot with good food, great service, and a great view.

Parking is across from the restaurant and at a premium. Lot was full and it took three of us to get a spot. My daughter went into the restaurant before parking to get us on the list - they don't take reservations in July and August. After about 10 minutes, we were able to get a spot. The decor is beautiful and we sat at the front bar waiting to be called. They had an IPA my friend liked and the espresso martinis were yummy. We sat outside with a gorgeous view of the lake. Couldn't think of a better place for this celebration! The restaurant doesn't do any extras for birthdays or special events. Service was 4/5 as they didn't remove dirty empty glasses until dinner was over. Food is was pretty good and we loved the beets on the dinner plates. Portions were average. We had apps at home in the backyard so we ended up taking some food home. Positively experience but would like to return when not so busy.

My first experience was a catering order for a large group at a Christmas party, and everyone couldn't stop raving about the flavor and quality of the food. Everything was cooked to perfection. The salad, potatoes, chicken, gyro, and rice were all outstanding. When I went in to pick up the order, I immediately noticed how clean and well-kept the restaurant was. It's clear the owners take great pride in their place. The two guys working the front (probably the owners) were extremely polite and a pleasure to deal with. A couple of weeks later, I brought my family in for lunch, and once again, the experience was excellent. They treated us like family. I honestly wish I lived closer because I'd be ordering from here at least once a week. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area. There's also plenty of parking right in front, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommend eating here !
