Great bar with cold beer and good bar food. Outdoor area is a great place to sit to watch all the bad drivers.

It is easy to walk by Chef's Creations without noticing it; if you do, turn around and come back!!…read moreThe food was excellent! We had a simple lunch that was flavorful, well-prepared, and inexpensive. It's an open air restaurant where you can enjoy the fresh air without baking in the sun and heat. The decor gives it a rustic and charming vibe. You can tell simplicity is part of their approach. You walk in and seat yourself, you bus your table at the end of the meal, and you pay at the window on your way out--we learned this by watching the locals who had stopped in for a quick lunch. The small menu was handwritten on plain white paper--Spanish on one side, English on the other. We spotted someone diligently hand-drying clean plates and trays at the edge of the dining area. We were expecting our bottles of waters to come to the table before our food, but after a short wait the server brought it all out together on a tray. The plates are basic and we got to-go plasticware & napkin sets to eat our meal. The food was excellent! The Arroz Mamposteao (mixed rice) was especially good. After a week in PR where it seems vegetables are surprisingly scarce on restaurant menus, we were really excited to have green salad. The total meal was under $20, making it the least expensive lunch for two we've had in a long time.

Should you come during early week days then know service is very slow. The menu is not very diverse and by early afternoon the establishment runs out of a certain type of meet. I suggest to try during peak hours. Enjoy!

After six days in San Juan, there was only one restaurant I really loved, so thank God we decided…read moreto venture out to Luquillo! We came with a group of 11, and they had a beautiful outdoor space that worked perfectly for our group. Service was attentive, and everything we tried was fresh.I ordered the grilled lobster with seafood in garlic sauce and tostones. It was delicious, although definitely pricey. The lobster is sold by the pound, and the smallest they had was about 1.5 lbs at $60+ per plate, so keep that in mind. Not pictured was my daughter's churrasco, which I had to try and WOW. I'm pretty sure it was entraña, and it was some of the best steak I had on the trip. For dessert, I had the coconut flan, and it was SO good. Definitely my favorite way to end the meal. Puerto Rico is expensive, and I'd consider this mid-level pricey, but compared to some of our meals in San Juan, this one felt worth it. If you're staying in San Juan, I'd recommend making the trip to Luquillo. This was easily my favorite meal of the trip!

Shortly after ordering the kids' meals came out--a nice touch in serving younger guests first to keep them occupied. Adult meals came a little later. There was a little confusion correctly distributing meals to our very large group, but eventually everyone got what they ordered. My grouper with a crema sauce was fantastic, as was the Puerto Rican rice as a side dish. Every diner's comment was equally by complimentary.
