XD) The staff, from front desk people to nurses and social workers, is always friendly and professional, they're usually running on time or within perfectly acceptable ranges, and they're even good at drawing blood from my temperamental veins. With our infant in daycare we are no stranger to coughs/colds. Being able to text Dr. Sinclair during off hours in the mornings and evenings gives our family the comfort we need as new parents. We have gotten prescriptions ordered the same night (invaluable when dealing with a fussy baby) with in-office follow-ups the next morning. She asks US when we are available to come in, and it seems as though she cares for our infant as much as she would care for her own children. Occasionally we had the communication issues others are complaining about, but nothing too drastic. We have recently moved out of state and that's where all the issues start. Our current pediatrician reached out requesting electronic records for our three kids. The office called and let me know that there would be a fee for that. This is the first I've ever heard of a fee for providing a new doctor with records for continuity of care, and the only provider in Columbus that tried this when we moved. I asked what exactly the fee was for and was told "because we can". Now they refuse to provide the records unless I pay the fee. It's exploitive and an obvious attempt to penalize people for leaving the practice. The fee is nominal, but that's not the point. We have paid enough over 7.5 years to not nickel and dimed over moving for work. After an email from the office, about refusing to send records, I checked our account and they actually billed the account despite having not provided the records in question. How that's ethical I do not know!

He's so kind, the kids love him, he's never made me feel silly for asking questions, he doesn't pressure me into options I'm not comfortable with and instead helps me find alternatives. I live in Worthington but still drive to Hilliard to see him because I like him that much. I sincerely hope he doesn't retire before my youngest turns 18 because I don't know if a replacement doctor could ever live up to the example he's set. The other doctors here though? Not my cup of tea. Most are fine, if impersonal. They'll do in a pinch but I've just come to utilize the urgent care close to me if a kid is sick and Dr. LaMonte isn't available. There's a particular doctor here that I'd sooner take my kids to the ER for an ear infection than to her. But my biggest complaint, and the complaint of everyone I know who also goes there, the desk staff. I don't think I've ever had a pleasant interaction with them if I had to do anything beyond simply check in. Imagine Smaug guarding the Lonely Mountain treasure. Picture McDonald's employees protecting their extra dipping sauces. Monty Python's Black Knight guarding his bridge if you will. I really liked Dr. Tim as he was very comprehensive with his information. He told us about himself, background, schooling, and personal experience with his own children. Two of his sons were preemies which made us very comfortable because we have one of our own. I am glad to know that he knows how we have felt and he understands the preemie condition. The staff was great as they were excited to meet us and very congenial. the one nurse went searching for a book to give us about the first year with a child. I felt like they welcomed us and claimed us in one visit. They have two waiting rooms, one for healthy children and another for sick. I am glad my wife pointed this out as we were leaving because I wouldn't have noticed it. We only had to wait 2 minuted before we were called back in. My daughter actually enjoyed her visit even her vaccinations. They have a sick hour from 8-9 AM everyday where you can stop in for an unscheduled visit in case you are worried about your sick child. The building is new which also makes this very nice. No problems with parking. I would recommend coming here as I have other friends who really like this office. They have at least 4 doctors, but I have only met our main doctor as of now.

A queue of parents waiting with sick kids is overwhelming to anyone, especially if the phone is ringing off the hook. As a parent, sensitivity toward meeting our child's need is at the forefront and waiting in a line at the doctor's office to be greeted with unsmiling face is not ideal. Give the woman at the desk a break. How would you handle her difficult job? Smiling receptionists do no define the physician's ability. Being heads of our households advocating our child's and our own health is OUR responsibility ... we need to advocate, communicate, research question and support relationships with medical providers. We have a role in this. Healthcare is a privilege that needs to be supported. Health begins at home. This office has quickly and thoroughly sent files to doctors in different cities, as well as locally, to prepare for invasive testing in as efficient manner as I could wish for. Dr. Williams reviewed and responded to serious concerns and referred me to physicians elsewhere if our issues could not be managed by Riverside Pediatrics. They have also treated poison ivy, well visits, the flu, a sinus infection and major surgery that would send anyone's love for their child spinning. Not having the doctor that you expected could have been resolved if you requested they be put on your calendar. A child's stress over a doctors visit can be eased by a simple conversation about what will probably happen by a parent. If you can't "use your words" about this there are books at the library that may help. Think twice about hostility over a well care appointment. I say that because you can be immeasurably grateful that you are not holding your child's hand in ICU, your are not pacing in the ER waiting for a tragic outcome and mostly you are not planning a funeral.
