To start, our provider is amazing- Dr. Brown. My issues are with the billings and records folks. We've been patients for 7.5 years. Occasionally we had the communication issues others are complaining about, but nothing too drastic. We have recently moved out of state and that's where all the issues start. Our current pediatrician reached out requesting electronic records for our three kids. The office called and let me know that there would be a fee for that. This is the first I've ever heard of a fee for providing a new doctor with records for continuity of care, and the only provider in Columbus that tried this when we moved. I asked what exactly the fee was for and was told "because we can". Now they refuse to provide the records unless I pay the fee. It's exploitive and an obvious attempt to penalize people for leaving the practice. The fee is nominal, but that's not the point. We have paid enough over 7.5 years to not nickel and dimed over moving for work. After an email from the office, about refusing to send records, I checked our account and they actually billed the account despite having not provided the records in question. How that's ethical I do not know! read more

We love Dr Maher. She's patient takes her time and explains everything clearly. They are a crazy busy practice but we've rarely had any wait issues. The front desk staff were great with helping with school forms and scripts due to a newly diagnosed severe food allergy. It's easy to get an appointment same or next day if there's a serious issue and their phone support and bluebook and online standard protocols are easy to follow for common issues and things to try before needing to bring them in. They are pretty clear and upfront about their practices vaccination policies and philosophy. If you aren't a traditionalist regarding vaccines you may not be happy here. We're happy and really love the staff and drs. read more

Doctors are good enough. Front staff is cold at best. Normally they are just rude. Appointment time should be treated as a check-in time, but be ready to wait over an hour on at least 1/2 of your visits with no communication or updates from the staff. read more

Our family has been with Olentangy Pediatrics for over seventeen years! I have always received outstanding care. The entire staff, nurses, and doctors work hard to help with our healthcare needs! The office is always professional, clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The care we have gotten over the years is consistently WONDERFUL! I can not say enough about Dr. Maher. I appreciate the partnership we have built over the years to work together to meet the needs of all my children. I have been with this practice since my son was born 15 years ago. I appreciate the care and the time they take with us each time we visit. I have generally not experienced wait issues and I try to equate wait issues to the needs of other patients whether its here or at another doctor...maybe someone desperately needs to be seen, maybe someone has an unexpected complicated health issue?? Absolutely love this place. We use to live closer but moved 45 minutes and still take our children here. We complain about the drive on the way every time. Then they see the children, take care of them and treat us and them with the utmost respect and professionalism. We then leave saying this is why we keep driving 45 minutes for this care for our children. We have been doing it for 8 years. read more

We have been seeing Dr. Maher since our daughter was 3 days old. She came highly recommended by friends and the doctors in the NICU with Nationwide Children's. The office got us in on the same day for a new patient appointment and we have had very little trouble getting in to see someone when we have needed for sick appointments. We have seen a majority of the doctors in this practice and all have been AMAZING!! And wait times are fairly average for a practice that takes their time with each patient. The couple of times that we have had to wait, it was when we were there for a sick appintment and they had fit us in near the end of the day. We drive 40 minutes to get to thw office because I won't trust anyone else with our sweet girl! read more

I love this practice. My son saw Dr. Littleton and aside from being an awesome doctor, she loves her patients. Whenever she'd see my son she'd give him a kiss on the forehead and tell him how much she loved him. Might seem a bit unnecessary, but I appreciated the relationship she worked on building with her patient. I never felt rushed, and the rest of the staff was great as well. Regarding the long wait, I would be there for 45 mins to an hour. I never waited long to be called back, and the time with the doctor was never rushed. I had no complaints about wait time. We saw several doctors within the practice and I liked them all.. Unfortunately I moved, and that put us way too far from the practice, so I've had to find another practice. The practice has proven to be a hard act to follow. read more

To make it short and simple... they are awful and disgusting in their behavior! God forbid you want to space the vaccines out or ask questions you get the demeanor change and scoffed at. I have no time for this garbage! I'm a Mother of two, who has the right to research, study and educate myself on everything my kids receive or need. I take my 6-month-old here, and we see Dr. Koesters. So far it has been easy to book an appointment, the nurses are very nice and super helpful on the phone when you have a concern, and the patient rooms are all fun and decorated with cute designs. Dr. Koesters is nice, easy to talk to, and spends as much time with you as you need. I always get my questions answered and never feel rushed. Parking is easy. They will give you a room to nurse in if you need to. The only complaint I have is that every appointment has started late and I have heard this from others too. read more

We have seen Dr. Brown from the birth of our first child. He is always very patient and really takes the time to explain things, even if it's just a simple virus. I also like that any question I may ask is treated as an important question. (as moms know, sometimes we ask silly questions that we just need to know!) He is very timely, rarely running too far behind schedule and apologizes when he is. If I call in the morning, as long as he's in the office, I can get an appointment same day. I have also seen a few of the other doctors in the office and they are also great to work with! Dr. Brown is also very encouraging for breast feeding mothers. He helps you work problems out and gives you the proper resources. I have never felt that he pushed formula onto us or wasn't supportive of our decision to nurse and when we did have issues, he was sensitive and helpful. read more

I like this practice a lot. They have been great with my "first time mom" questions. I like that I can talk to a nurse at any time to ask questions/clarify/ or to see if I need to bring my son in to be seen. Due to the number of doctors in the office I have never had any problems getting an appointment. I also like that I can schedule visits in the evenings if needed. I also think that it is worth saying that they treat my husband with respect and as a part of my sons care. I have heard male friends complain that since they are not the "mom" that the felt lesser. This has never been the case at Olentangy. I also like that there is a different waiting room for sick patients so that my child is not exposed when he is just there for a check up. The only downside has been that my Dr. only works part time (I am not sure if this is true of others in the office as well) so that sometimes I can not see my Dr. But even that is not an issue since I have always been able to schedule with the same alternate doctor so my son still has consistency. read more

Let me start by saying I loooove Dr. Littleton! She is awesome! Why I'm giving it 3 stars? Because of there nurses/ receptionist. I've called three times now because I believe my 2 month baby is not ok ( you know crying all the time, fussy, not pooping, etc) and I've told them I want to get an appointment with her... Instead of an appointment I always get a list of things "to do" or a list of things I might be doing wrong, and sometimes I'm almost to the point of telling them "can you just give me a freaking appointment!!! It's my time and my money I want to spend!!!" Frustrating!!! read more

I have an almost 3 year old and a 3 month old. We have been to the office for both children. Dr.Littleton is great and we went to her because she was my husbands pediatrician. I have to say that from the start I have hated going to this office and it stresses me out to no end. Every time we have an appointment we wait minimum 30 mins. Last time I was there with my 1 month old baby and waited 45 mins for our appointment, I was on time but they were not. Long story short the office is always unbearably hot and the lighting is so bright it gives me a headache to wait in the waiting room. I was left in the waiting room until baby became fussy from not eating for over an hour counting time to drive to the office. I asked to at least be put in a room because A. there were sick kids there and I wasn't trying to let my newborn catch something B. She was hungry and I needed to nurse her C. Because I was tired of walking back and forth with her trying to calm her down with no clue on when we would be seen, it took another 10 mins for them to let me in a room to feed her. I had the same problem with my first child and I really hate taking them to appointments. I understand that sometimes doctors run behind but this happens every time. A couple appointments ago I was 5 minutes late and they wanted me to reschedule! I was so angry that I would be asked to reschedule when they can make me wait 45- and hour past my appointment time every time we go in. read more

This office is a hot mess. The receptionists seem to not know what they are doing and struggle making a simple appointment. I have given them time slots when I need an appointment made and they try to schedule hours outside of the given times and then get upset with me for my work schedule. They have misdiagnosed my children on multiple occasions and they call incessantly because there is no communication between staff. They also have little ladders on the exam tables which makes "this is not a playground" a hard sell to an 'independent' toddler. We are leaving this practice. read more

Love the pediatrician but communication and scheduling is a nightmare. Had to wait an hour and a half for both well visits - one appointment in the morning and one in the afternoon. Every time I've had to call I've been on hold for well over 10 minutes. If you asked to be put through to someone's voicemail, you are disconnected. It took me two solid days to get a refill for a routine prescription. No one called me back to notify me it was ready for pick up. I had to continually call. Very frustrated. read more

Yikes.. I called Olentangy Pediatrics about two weeks ago to schedule an appointment for my son, as we are new to the Columbus area and looking to establish a doctor. I had a pleasant experience with the first CSR I spoke to at that time. I called a couple of days prior to his scheduled appointment (today), and not only was I on hold for about 10 minutes, but when someone finally helped me, they could not find his appointment and said he was not registered as a patient, although I had a time & location written down from when I spoke to the first receptionist. Then, this CSR accused me of calling the wrong location, saying that I must have spoken to another office because his medical records need to be received before she can schedule an appointment. What? I was told to fax the medical records at my convenience prior to his appointment date during my first phone call to Olentangy Pediatrics. I insisted that she and the rest of the staff correspond office standards to ensure consistency in the future, and she insisted that there is no way I'd ever spoken to anyone at Olentangy Pediatrics if I hadn't had this process explained to me. This practice is seriously amazing!!! The doctors are so caring and the nurses are freaking awesome. The office staff is very nice and accommodating, too! We see Dr. Ferguson and she is wonderful. She is patient with all my "new mom" questions and also tells it like it is when I am afraid of something as a new mom, reassuring me that I am doing what is best for my baby. Our baby has had extreme constipation issues and Dr. Ferguson has been knowledgeable about ways to combat this and different formulas to try because I was unable to breastfeed past six weeks pp. THE BEST THING about this practice is the nurses line. Their nurses are the best around! They are so kind and tolerant of my phone calls and once talked me down off a ledge for 23 minutes whilst sleep training. The truest testament to my loyalty to the practice is this - we moved further north in to Lewis Center, and I switched pediatricians to someone at Polaris, because I thought being closer to the pediatrician would be better, and it was such a mistake. I wanted to switch back to Olentangy and they took us back with open arms! These people are wonderful and I literally trust them with my baby's life. :) read more

The doctors here are very good and great with little ones. My child is a regular patient of this clinic. However, today I waited over 50 minutes for a morning ill child visit while pregnant and with a sick toddler. No one gave me any information on when my child would be seen nor was there an apology until I finally spoke up after waiting 45 minutes because I could hear two people chatting it up outside my waiting room. Turns out it was the doctor we were about to see (not our usual doctor). I received a hospital-related explanation and an apology. But this clinic could do a much better job at communicating to its clients. read more

Pretty spot on with the other reviews on this one. The doctors are all great. We have had a number of impromptu visits due to the always lovely daycare sicknesses going around. We typically cannot get 'our' doctor, but the few we have gotten were all very nice, courteous, and helpful. That is why I have rated this practice as such! Now, the issue. THE WAIT. Goodness, its painful. We schedule this stuff 6 plus months in advance, show up ten minutes early to take the survey, then we sit in the room, after work, after a long drive in traffic with a hungry child who isnt going to get to eat until we brave more traffic and get home....only to finally see the doctor FORTY minutes after our SCHEDULED time (dont get me wrong, this happens at mid-day appt's too). Yes, they are a bit apologetic and seem just as tired, but that must be the problem. The system is a bit broken I guess. They should stop playing Santa Clause here and ease up on the patient load. The patients, and I am sure, doctors might have a better visit. read more

I had three children at this practice that all saw Dr. Brown. He was very rude at times. When we were there he did not have children and was very opinionated on things. My middle daughter had some blood sugar problems and a lot of urinary tract infections. I was very concerned because she was getting 15-20 of them a year. I didn't want her on that many antibiotics. He kept telling me that she would grow out of it. After talking to a good friend who's daughter had the same problem my husband and I decided to take her to a specialist. I had asked Dr. Brown for a referral and he refused to give me one. He said there was nothing wrong with her. So my husband and I took her anyway and come to find out she had three things causing it. When the specialist sent Dr. Brown the results showing him there was a problem instead of saying "I'm so sorry I missed this" he sent us a letter asking us to leave the practice because he doesn't want patients going behind his back. Leaving the practice was the best thing we ever did we have a better pediatrician that actually cares and doesn't let her ego get in the way. Now our daughter maybe gets 2-3 a year instead of 20. I found the nursing staff to be wonderful at olentangy pediatrics however Dr. Brown was an egotistical jerk!!! read more
