I had great service today on my maiden voyage into selecting flooring to be installed when I chose…read moreto visit the Dunedin Flooring America location. Why was my experience so remarkable? First, Flooring America has an interior designer on staff and in the store. Her name is Sue. We are planning a small job (a very small job) and just in the early phases of figuring out the right look for the room. However, I felt like Sue treated us the same as if we were coming in to floor an entire house. The second reason I had a remarkable experience was that I learned Flooring America is a co-operative. Although it is a national retailer, each location is owned locally by individuals. I thought that was cool Shop local! The third reason I had a remarkable experience was the wide range of samples IN THE STORE to choose from. We had brought in the wood paneling we plan to use in the room (rift white oak) and the paint (a Sherwin-Williams Lazy Gray). We were able to lay about 12 different hardwood or LVT (luxury vinyl tile) samples alongside our other materials and navigate to get the perfect grey/beige flooring with the grain we liked. Sue was instrumental in helping us navigate the wide selection of options. It also was a relief to talk to a professional designer for free and get some validation that our color scheme and planned materials were working together. If you are considering flooring I highly recommend that you check out Flooring America in Dunedin. PLUS, Dunedin has such a cute downtown and good restaurants (I had stone crab at Hog Island Fish Camp) that you can make an afternoon of it.

When I told Scott i simply needed something for a 13yo Pug, he response was "you had me at 13yo Pug" and walked me through a stiflingly hit warehouse the length of a football field knowing he wasn't gonna make a dime. THAT is what customer service is all about.

The installer with dark skin was incredibly kind, respectful, and hardworking, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, the lighter skin installer was extremely unprofessional. He used profanity throughout the entire installation and made several disrespectful comments. At the start, there was a miscommunication about the furniture needing to be broken down and moved from each room. Instead of discussing a solution, he immediately began complaining that it should have already been done and that it wasn't his responsibility. I explained that everyone in my household had taken the day off specifically to help move anything necessary. It wasn't until my spouse stepped in and asked that we work together on a solution that the conversation shifted. Even after a plan was agreed upon, my family and I had to continue listening to him make negative remarks about our home and belongings, including saying we had "shit everywhere" and that he didn't know what to tell the other installer because "everything was a mess." I later learned that this installer is related to someone in management, which may explain the attitude we experienced. Despite this individual's behavior, I was extremely pleased with the overall service and the final result.

Bob's Carpet & Flooring - Unsightly and dangerous.

We were in a rush to…read moreget new flooring installed immediately after closing on the purchase of the home and we had very little time to shop and make a decision. After visiting several local stores, we stopped in Bob's (just before we were due to fly out of town) and they had an awesome selection of vinyl plank flooring and carpet in stock so we were able to make a great decision on our product of choice and even more importantly, they were able to complete the installation in the time frame we needed (very quick turn around). Unfortunately, we were not able to stay in town for the installation so we kept the realtor box on the door to allow them entry to complete the job while we were out of town. They installed the VPF and new carpet throughout the entire house and did a beautiful job and we were so happy. (Scared to death because paying someone to do a job and knowing that we aren't there to inspect the final job before issuing payment is never a smart move but it was the only option we had available to us.) We are so thankful that everything went smoothly, the installation was great and two years later we still love our floors. We would definitely use them again and have referred several of our neighbors to them over the past two years. Bob's Carpet and Flooring is now our "go to" for our flooring needs and we highly recommend them because their products, installation and customer service are all go above and beyond expectations. Thank you to Bob's for an excellent job well done.

Six months ago my "luxury" vinyl floor began shrinking, buckling and coming up causing huge gaps…read more (See photos) Manager Brent came out, took moisture readings, photos and measurements and determined I did nothing wrong and enthusiastically reassured me that this would be resolved and shouldn't concern myself, Bob's would make things right. For the last 6 months 99% of our communication was initiated by me. Brent seemed surprised about the terrible condition and Bob's would investigate the adhesive, installation and talk to the manufacturer who of course denied any liability. I called AGAIN and Brent made another appointment but did not actually show. Another person some kind of an inspector came but again I heard nothing. I called and again and Brent advised it was out of hands and now with hands of claims who would contact me that same day or the day after which of course never happened. I called once again and Brent told me the claim was denied. To be fair I do have to say that this product was installed sometime ago about 6 years but supposedly still under warrantee. Up until the floor failing I was very happy with the product and went on to do another room and a complete hallway which I expect will fail in a couple of years. Some of those planks are already coming up but based on experience I know if they come out they will say the damage isn't bad enough and I should wait until it's worse but of course then they will say it's too late. When Brent was here initially, he was surprised that the same product was put on my screened Lanai. When we made the original purchase I was told by the salesman Bob that this was fine for the Lanai. When Brent questioned him on this he said that's what the manufacturer had told him. So here I am 70 years old with an extremely lll husband dealing with this on my own. My husband is a fully disabled Vietnam combat vet who suffered a devastating stroke and I care for him so replacing all this product is financially impossible for us. I made it very clear that I would be willing to negotiate something Bob's but again, silence. I did not purchase this from the adhesive maker, installer or manufacturer. I purchased through Bob's Flooring who should have stepped up instead of just denying everything with no explanation.
