No opening boxes and thawing or reheating like at so many places - this is all scratch baked. Coffee is not roasted on site, but it is still the best coffee in the valley. Lunch is good also. Not a ton of choices but again, all scratch made, including the bread and soups. I come here usually once per week for either breakfast or lunch. I am never disappointed when I eat at this locally owned coffee house. Free internet - no glitches or crazy sign ins required.

They advertised hand pressed lemonade on their specials board but when I went to order I was told that they didn't have any. Also, on the menu when I ordered my tabouli, on the menu it stated it came with flat bread. I went back to the counter to inquire about the flatbread I was told no, it doesn't come with the tabouli. I pointed it out on the menu and she proceeded to cross it off telling me it shouldn't be there. These two little things that happened were a turn off but not enough to stop me from going back. But if there are more of these types of bad customer service happenings I will exit and not return.

I walked in and was greeted with a warm smile and asked what I liked, which is always a good sign. I ordered a cafe mocha breve ( blended) which was creamy, smooth and just the right amount of coffee and chocolate the only complaint was that I could they only offered a 16ounce. The barista was nice, the coffee was good, the vibes were good, but we have to discuss the scone. I am not sure what the thinking was behind the scone recipe but it was not good! In fact, I would venture to say that if probably the worst scone I've ever attempted to eat. The texture was kind of like cornmeal and flour with chocolate chips in it. The caramel drizzle couldn't even save this thing. Cool coffee shop, super nice staff, cool name, bad scone. You guys can do better, I know you can.

We stopped by each morning of our weekend stay for some coffee and breakfast and were pleased with the quality of everything! We enjoyed some specialty hot coffees most mornings and I was particularly happy that there were milk alternatives including oat milk. The kids enjoyed a breakfast sandwich one day and bagels on the others and I enjoyed a chia pudding one morning too. It is worth noting that if you are seeking a hot breakfast such as a breakfast sandwich, you can only get that after 7am, which didn't work out so great for us. They were extremely strict about this too. (Even at 6:50, they wouldn't take an order as they said they could not prepare anything other than what was ready in the case until after 7.) Aside from that, it's a cute coffee shop with plenty of seating, located centrally in downtown Eau Claire, as the name implies!

Lots of seating available inside and they also had a drive thru. We didn't get food but our drinks were very good. The menu was large and a little overwhelming as we weren't really sure what each drink consisted of and it was too busy to ask too many questions. Would definitely go again but would try to look online first for drink descriptions to be a little more prepared!
