On a recent weekend trip to Eau Claire we enjoyed our visit to Acoustic Cafe so much that we went twice! The place was busy but the staff was pumping out orders like a well oiled machine. The staff working the order counter were so sweet and personable. Our first day we stopped in for the daily lunch special which was very tasty and a great price. They offer different soups daily. I really enjoyed my Turkey pita sandwich and the Mediterranean Lentil Soup was very good! The next day we got drinks and the best scone I've ever had! I got the corned beef roast on a 1/2 hoagie and a bag of chips. The corned beef and slaw mix was really good, it just needed to be salted a tad bit and it would've been perfect. It was about $20 with a tip (about a $4 tip). I would come back. read more

Review Visit: November 13th, 2024 The sound of deliciousness. Tim hyped this place up during our chat at The Growler Guys and just in general texts about it being a pretty popular place. He said he's tried to come here before and if there's an event going on, the line will be out the door. That got me hyped to try it out and so we headed that way once we both woke up and were ready for food. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy. We had gotten there late enough to avoid both the breakfast crowd and the lunch crowd. Tim grabbed a large sweet roll... I mean cinnamon roll and a drink. I grabbed my usual ice americano and a pita sandwich. We grabbed a table and go to talking without me being half awake like the prior night. It took a bit for our food and coffee to come out since they were served together. When they brought my drink out, they brought me a hot americano instead of an iced one. That ended up being fine since my hands were freezing from the walk over from Tim's house. This was my first hot americano and it didn't taste any different than a normal drip coffee. But that was fine, overall, since it didn't taste bad. But once I dug into the pita, I was in heaven. I got the turkey one without mayo. Each bite was delightful. The pita bread itself was just what I love about them. I debated getting a second one but thought that we had a long day ahead and needed room for the rest of the days shenanigans. Tim said his drink (I forget what it was) was entirely too sweet. He thought he would be able to get through it but said it just kept that overbearing sweetness throughout. He finished it off and then decided to get either a French or Italian soda. He said that that was pretty tasty. This place gives me One World vibes. It's one of those artsy, accepting of everyone kind of place. It's a vibe I can't really explain but once you feel it, you'll get it. If I lived in Eau Claire, I would come in all the time for just the pita sandwiches. It was that dang good. Plus, their wifi password is a reference to Lord of the Rings. read more

The food? Fresh sandwiches, quick service. If you're here for the food alone, it delivers. The service, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. We came in as a group of 10 and moved two tables so we could sit together. Rather than a polite conversation, we were greeted with a scolding from staff followed by a taped-up, handwritten sign placed behind us saying "Please do NOT move tables. Thanks," as if we were an exhibit on what NOT to do. Then, several staff acted visibly annoyed, tossing down food and muttering complaints within earshot. It's a strange psychological dynamic: expecting customers to follow unwritten rules, then resenting them when they can't read your mind. And talking about people behind their backs while still expecting their business? That's a bold move for a place that supposedly values community. Their reason? That their old wood floors might be damaged, ironic considering the floors already look like they've seen better decades. Great food, but the vibe soured the experience. If you're not a regular or if your group is bigger than four, prepare to feel like an inconvenience. read more

Stopped by here for lunch. We noticed they also had coffee! Loved the food and coffee. The cashier helping us was so thoughtful and kind! The ambiance is nice for a lunch on a weekday. It was probably the biggest and tastiest hoagies we've had. I'd definitely come back! read more

I met a friend for my first time here at Acoustic Cafe. I ordered a coffee and a sandwich, the medium sandwich, however to my surprise I barely got any turkey on it at all!! It was shreds of turkey instead of slices!! SO DISSATISFIED!! Subway makes a better sandwich!! FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL EAT HERE!!! Did not even equal to one full slice!! I will never go here again and neither should you!! Slow service although not busy. Many open tables but not cleaned off. When I asked them to clean a table the manager was defensive. She obviously didn't care if we had a clean table to eat our food on. We recently went to Acoustic Cafe after our college tour at UW Eau Claire. In the words of my 17 year old daughter her sandwich "slapped"!! She had to ask for a mayo packet because they either forgot to put mayo on her sandwich or they just didn't put enough on it. I had a Caesar Salad which was very good. Service was excellent and fast. This place is awesome. I wish it were closer to where I live... but I always make sure to stop here when I'm in Eau Claire. The hoagies are great and there are tons of options and combinations. The bread is always soft and warm and the cheese is perfectly melted. These sandwiches are, of course, greatly complemented with a side of soup. Their broccoli cheese, beer cheese and chili are awesome. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I always get a cup here. Their Americano coffee is good... with JUST sugar. That's saying something for someone that usually dumps five gallons of creamer into a sip of coffee. The atmosphere here is nice, too... very relaxing and cozy. And when you're done with your meal and craving something sweet, they have a great selection of ice cream. Their green tea variety is delicious. I love this place. Well, what can I say, I stop by the Acoustic Cafe about once a year when I'm in town-good coffee and food but bad service. There menu no longer lists standard sandwiches-it's pick your protein which aren't listed. There's no longer a daily 1/2 sandwich and soup special. It took 30 minutes to get a 1/3 sandwich, cup of Texas chili and coffee-the coffee came last. This is a coffee shop! If I want to build my own sandwich I'll go to Subway. I won't be back. read more
