We stayed here in March when we came in for a wedding. Having never been to Peurto Rico let alone the island OFF the island, we were skeptical to start looking, since real helpful referrals were few and far between. (Which is why I'm writing this, and after you stay wherever, you should too!) Every house online looked beautiful. Some would end up saying in the fine print you share a pool or balcony. My boyfriend called the owner and asked questions, but we prepared for the worst. When we arrived we were in SHOCK. The photos were accurate and actually, I'd say they didn't do the place justice. It was better than I could even imagine. Here were a few things I happened to notice...
-It truly is a private pool. There is no one who can even see you. There is a road far below in front but you can't see the pool. Another great thing we didn't expect about the pool is that it's like 8 feet deep! None of our other friends pools were over 4 feet.
-They provided 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella, and even a small cooler, so you're ready for the beach
-They give you everything to cook. Down to the big bowls, Tupperware, pots and pans, and even plastic wine glasses perfect for the pool.
-We debated which bedroom to stay in for awhile, both are equal which makes it a perfect house for 2 couples. But one has the great view with a big window, the other has more privacy and a separate door entrance.
-It's close to the best beaches on the island, and there is a little shady convenience store right up the road, perfect for beer runs and snacks
-Get the Jeep if you're renting a car, you'll need it for the driveway. It might be the only negative. It's on a crazy terrifying slant, but just at the end when you're in, it's flat.
-They provided lots of board games
-The seating area outside actually has an outlet in it so bring your speaker! No neighbors to complain about the noise.
-The owners were great, easy to talk to. Also, they had hired a property manager to pick us up from the ferry and take us to get our jeep we rented from Avis and then we followed him to the house. He showed us around and left us with the keys.
in the dresser and cable tv, the wifi was surprisingly better than mine at home in Illinois!
-The couch in the living room is actually a fold out, but we never used it.
-They provided tons of beach towels and bath towels. (4 per room and extras in the bathroom) there is a washer/dryer there too but the linens were beautiful and clean. I loved the bed and bedding but there isn't an iron.
Our other friends were there for the same wedding and all rented houses. We viewed many of them, (even ones that spent a lot more) and felt SO lucky we got this one! I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back!! read more
