I've been on a mission to support local small businesses during this time. After reading the…read morereviews, and the countless drive-bys seeing lines of people waiting, it was time to finally stop in. As we got out of the car across the street the aroma of what we were intending to take out was mouthwatering. Entering we noticed the store was definitely in compliance with the governor's/ state requirements. Also it was well stocked. I wasn't in the market for produce at that time. But from what I saw everything was packaged well and looked very fresh. Nope, we were there for the fried chicken. .. So moving along we joined what was a short line. The area was taped off - keeping everyone in compliance with the much needed social distancing at this time. We waited and watched people selecting & ordering their take out...I have to admit that as I waited it just made me hungrier for the chicken. It looked sooooo good! Finally our turn. We decided on 6 pieces and added some tostones .. they packed it up in styrofoam containers & bagged. The next step was to pay the cashier. Once completed we were given hand sanitizer - again in compliance. At no time did I feel at be a higher risk than any other grocery store .. actually I felt completely ok. Besides we were leaving with a bag of what ended up being perhaps the most delicious fried chicken I've ever tasted. You know the feeling when you're driving and distracted by the aroma of the food you just picked up? Oh, no question. That was definitely happening.... it seemed the drive home was endless. We did get back & just dug in.... WOW! Hands down this fried chicken is the absolute best. I will be back soon! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY !!!

Me and my family got the fried chicken from here, decent and has good seasoning, but way too…read moregreasy, language barrier is crazy so make sure you know a little bit of Spanish. If you do speak Spanish then the service is great . Got 14 pieces of fried chicken with a ton of beans and rice 23$ it was a steal. The place is like a regular convenience store except with the fried chicken spot in the back. Living in North Andover this was a lot of traffic to get to and was only okay. Would prefer Popeyes but love small businesses. 3 stars

This Walmart always has everything you need and is always fully stocked but they have one major…read moreproblem...the store is always a complete sloppy mess. When I shop in this store (which is rare due to its condition) the shelves are always unorganized and a complete mess and there is always merchandise sitting on the floor in most aisles and displaced merchandise on the shelves. Its not that hard to keep a store of this size in an orderly fashion, by simply hiring minimum wage employees to continuously organize the shelving during the day shift. The management (at Walmart) should pay close attention to the condition of the Target store across the street. Target is always clean, employees are always in most aisles with 2-way radio communication with each other and every shelf in the store is in perfect order with the exception of holiday clearance areas (which is quite typical in any department store), Walmart managers....I suggest you start cleaning up your act or Target will put you out of business.

I really don't like visiting this store for a number of reasons, but I was in the area and needed…read moretwo items so rather than going back to the one in Salem, NH again as I was there yesterday, I went to the Methuen branch. I needed white socks and tshirts. All of these items are locked up in cabinets....REALLY? In Salem, there are rows of these items where I can peruse w/o glass and don't require to contact personnel in order to make a purchase. This is VERY inconvenient and what is wrong with this store? Are people stealing tshirts, socks, underwear and more? I believe that their batteries are also this way too. Finding someone to open the case was not something I wanted to do, so I just drove across the street to TARGET where I could find what I wanted and I could make the purchase on my own - the selection was less, but I was more than happy NOT to have to seek out someone with a key to make a small purchase. (Apparently the clientele between these two stores is very different or perhaps it is just the way that Walmart handles it or treats their customers - I do find it insulting that the store has to lock up things or perhaps it is just sad... :-( ) In looking at he reviews, I see that someone else has commented on items locked up tight and the hassle she had to get to the item of interest: Bad customer service experience I asked for help three times and nobody could get somebody with a key for something small I wanted in the glass cases. They made an announcement to the store and there was still nobody until one woman noticed I was waiting and went across to the store to get a set. I guess this store has a lot of mistrust with people having keys that nobody has one ---- This just stresses the fact that I will continue to visit other Walmarts if that is the store I need for an item and avoid the Methuen store if at all possible. I recall someone telling me about 20 years ago that they refused to go to this store also.
