Me and my family got the fried chicken from here, decent and has good seasoning, but way too greasy, language barrier is crazy so make sure you know a little bit of Spanish. If you do speak Spanish then the service is great . Got 14 pieces of fried chicken with a ton of beans and rice 23$ it was a steal. The place is like a regular convenience store except with the fried chicken spot in the back. Living in North Andover this was a lot of traffic to get to and was only okay. Would prefer Popeyes but love small businesses. 3 stars read more

I stopped by Jacqueline's Grocery as i was in the area for lunch. I wanted some fried chicken and Jacqueline's delivers! I got 2 small prices (leg and quarter breast), tostones, and 1 beef empanada. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Nice crust and a tad spicy. THe tostones needed salt. Parking is street only and you need to wear a mask to enter. read more

Great fried chicken!!! The chicken was crispy and yet super juicy in the inside! I got the rice plate with chicken. The portion of the plate was surprisingly filling! Not to mention how affordable it was, $5 for a whole plate! Also their tostonese were great too!! It's amazing when it's still warm. read more

Small grocery store in Lawrence that has the legendary "crack" chicken. Gotta say - it's some really good chicken. Homemade large portions and well seasoned for sure. Place is line out the door busy and they don't stop making chicken- so it's always fresh. The people who work here work extremely hard and the customer service is always friendly. Definitely recommend trying. read more

I would drive an hour for this fried chicken!!! Best I've ever had for sure. Not only is it the BEST tasting, also the best value. It's basically $1 per piece and they're pretty big pieces. Staff is very friendly and the line can get long but moves quickly!! I will always come here. read more

To call this the best chicken in Lawrence is an understatement. I feel confident in saying this is the best fried chicken in years. I first tried Jacqueline's chicken over 10 years ago in this same location and never forgot how delicious it was. While visiting my folks in New England I remembered this place and had to try it again today. Her store is still pretty much the same as I remember and so is her fried chicken. Recipe is slightly different but still delicious. If you are anywhere close to this store you need to try this chicken. read more

I've been on a mission to support local small businesses during this time. After reading the reviews, and the countless drive-bys seeing lines of people waiting, it was time to finally stop in. As we got out of the car across the street the aroma of what we were intending to take out was mouthwatering. Entering we noticed the store was definitely in compliance with the governor's/ state requirements. Also it was well stocked. I wasn't in the market for produce at that time. But from what I saw everything was packaged well and looked very fresh. Nope, we were there for the fried chicken. .. So moving along we joined what was a short line. The area was taped off - keeping everyone in compliance with the much needed social distancing at this time. We waited and watched people selecting & ordering their take out...I have to admit that as I waited it just made me hungrier for the chicken. It looked sooooo good! Finally our turn. We decided on 6 pieces and added some tostones .. they packed it up in styrofoam containers & bagged. The next step was to pay the cashier. Once completed we were given hand sanitizer - again in compliance. At no time did I feel at be a higher risk than any other grocery store .. actually I felt completely ok. Besides we were leaving with a bag of what ended up being perhaps the most delicious fried chicken I've ever tasted. You know the feeling when you're driving and distracted by the aroma of the food you just picked up? Oh, no question. That was definitely happening.... it seemed the drive home was endless. We did get back & just dug in.... WOW! Hands down this fried chicken is the absolute best. I will be back soon! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY !!! read more

Nothing to be said here that hasn't been said in other reviews. The five stars speak for themselves. Jacqueline's is a local institution and the tastiest, simplest, juiciest fried chicken you could ask for in MA. Corner store greatness with sweet staff and local flavor that you can only find at a place like this. The humble, down to earth, inexpensive chicken leg, transformed into a thing of dreams. Yum yum. Find a place to squeeze your car in on the street and stop in, you will not be disappointed. read more

For the best fried chicken in MA - yes, MA - you have to drive to this corner bodega in Lawrence. Think of the most amazing Southern-fried chicken you've ever had; all crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Mmmmm crrrraaaazy yum. The chicken is cooking all day - it really does sell out that quickly. Add some Caribbean sides like rice and beans, moro, or tostones, and you have a perfect, home-style, Latin meal. That's it. I've said too much. Words do Jacqueline's no justice. :) read more

I came here ~10 minutes before the store closed and the kitchen was packing up. But they were willing to get our order in and hand us some good ole greasy chicken! Now mind you, this place was about to close for the night, but even then, the $5.00 worth of fried chicken that we bought was STILL DELICIOUS and CRISPY. I can only IMAGINE how ORGASMIC their chicken would be when we get it fresh throughout the day. Their rice and tostones went nicely with the chicken, but because they were closing for the night, it was just "mehhh". JUST SO YOU KNOW: They sell their chicken by cash. EXAMPLE: CASHIER: Cuanto pollo que tu quiere? (How much chicken you want?) ME: Okay, deme 5 piezas. (Gimme 5 pieces.) CASHIER: --dumbfounded, stupid, lost look-- ¿Como? (What?) ME: Me puedes dar 5 piezas?.....(Can you please give me 5 pieces?) CASHIER: --dumbfounded, stupid, lost look-- ¿Como? (What?) ME: QUISIERA 5 piezas porfa. (I WOULD LIKE 5 pieces please.) CASHIER: --dumbfounded, stupid, lost look-- ¿QUE QUE? (HUH???) ........ ........ ........ ........ ........ and this went on for a little bit more until she explained to me that food there was sold by saying "I want $5 worth of food" and NOT by: - pieces - small boxes - big boxes - pounds or anything else you could possibly think of. So have no fear, order here. The food is good. Just don't be intimidated by any lost in translation moments. read more

We call the chicken from here "Crack Chicken." That's because it is as addicting as crack. Some of the best fried chicken, baked chicken, rice, empanadas... everything I've ever had here has been absolutely incredible. I love this place. It's freaking AWESOME. read more

Oh GOD! The fucking crack chicken is so good!!! Get it, eat it, be happy

Do yourself a favor. Walk in this little hole in the wall (don't be intimidated) and throw $10 bucks down on the counter and say "pollo". You will leave with a heaping box of fried heaven. Wicked good man!! Still have some left over in the fridge, and I'm already dreaming about when my next run to Jaquilines will be. Such a dirty indulgence! read more

Best fried chicken I have ever had while staying in Mass. It is very tasty and seasoned well. I recommend it with fries and some tostones. Will come back when in Mass again. read more

Alright so my buddy and I read the other reviews and were craving some fried chicken. We worked up the motivation and drove fairly deep into the hood. It's exactly what you would expect - a little bodega except this one is hustling and bustling a little more than usual. The reason is the fried chicken. As other reviewers have stated you don't order in number of pieces you want but rather how much you would like to spend. $15 got us two of your typical styrofoam to go containers absolutely stuffed with chicken. More than enough to fill up two big dudes. Now the important part. The chicken was everything I was craving. Crispy perfectly spiced morsels of fried goodness. The batter is so delish you literally suck every last bit off of the bones. The meat itself is tasty, moist and comes out steaming hot. Our batch was under the heat lamp but you can tell it doesn't sit there for long. The dude working the fryer was pumping out fresh pieces at an amazing rate. This place definitely moves a lot of chicken therefore it's always fresh. 5 stars. read more

Very good chicken! Moist, crispy, and fresh. Nice sides and a very nice roasted pork belly.
