SCHEDULING: Julie has a great scheduling system giving you a date that may shock you as it is FIRST a month or two out. She only schedules one job a day, but Scott is able to perform multiple jobs a day. As she tells you, she will text with a new updated date every few days as they are able to complete multiple jobs daily. After 3 new texts updating my appointment, they were at my home 70+ miles from their office within 3 weeks of the initial phone call to them. LESSON: DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE SCHEDULING SYSTEM--it is MUCH quicker than the initial scheduled date. QUALITY OF WORK: Scott was extremely thorough examining our pool, hot tub, and pool equipment and its supply lines. He gave us a verbal report, making sure we knew where the 3 leaks were. He also gave us the names of several contractors who were able to make the necessary repairs. I cannot express the completeness of his inspection. BILLING: We paid upon completion of the job. The next day, we received a paid invoice for the work which detailed where the leaks were and what was needed to correct each one. I truly appreciated this, as I was able to send that report to the contractor so he would know exactly what he was bidding on for the repair. REASON FOR RATING: *Honesty in the proposed scheduling system and actual quickness in getting to my pool. *Quality of work. They had no idea of how to tie it in to my system, and of course when I called back to report the problem I got no help. Also my light was out in spa and I said I needed a new one. But instead of diagnosing the problem as being just a bad light bulb, he installed a whole new light for $400. When I told him I didn't appreciate him wasting my money like that, he just laughed. It's really a shame because Blue Haven used to be a good company.

Original layout was wrong, not following the plan, had to be redone. Most of the work was done by sub-contractors who lacked the ability to do the job correct. It took almost 3 times as long to finish. Shoddy finish. Some of plaster had to be redone, Brick trim started falling off a month later. Plumbing leaked, equipment failed or did not work correctly. Had to hire another contractor to redo some parts and correct all the problems. Warrenties were not honored. Most of the equipment had to be replaced by another company. One of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with a construction related business.

These grills aren't cheap, but the quality can't be beat. While I have yet to purchase mine, this is where I will get it once I am ready. In addition to grills, this shop has a large variety of high end outdoor furniture, hammocks and decorative items. The products can get very expensive, but they do have a very good selection. The staff were very friendly and helpful and will be a great resource for all of my outdoor needs. If you're looking to improve your outdoor living, this is the place to visit.
