just now New The only reason I'm giving this place a two-star review is because my salesperson was very knowledgeable and professional. I had waited about 3 weeks wondering where my registration was that was supposed to come in the mail. So, I contacted my sales person who referred me over to Nate. When I originally talked to Nate he told me that he was unable to get my registration because the guy wasn't doing his job, and he's been trying to get "mine and everyone elses" registrations. He told me he would contact me when he got it. Didn't hear from Nate for a week. I went down to the dealership in person and spoke to Nate, he told me that my registration is here but has to pick it up and that I could get it in about 2 hours. Im sure all he had to do was to print it out! I finally got it that day, and had one day to get my e-check and tags before my temp tags expired. I will never go back here again! read more

Had a negative experience while shopping for a used vehicle at CarFace. The vehicle we test drove had a cracked open tail light cover, cupped tires, numerous paint nicks, scratches, and small dings - all indicative of poor maintenance. CarFax showed vehicle had seen heavy usage in NYC metro. CarFace list price was $1000 over maximum KBB retail value. I itemized the $1000 of repairs I'd need to spend out of pocket and offered $750 less than the CarFace list price. My offer was STILL over the maximum KBB retail value. The sales person said they don't negotiate. Next we meet with the sales manager. The sales manager gave us an aggressive speech about why we should over pay for her vehicle. It was terrible, I bought the car in the pouring rain, so I couldn't see any issues. They wouldn't budge on price so when I got it the AC didn't work ($1800's) and I got pulled over for no rear plate lights. Sure, part of it was fault for not doing a better job of seeing the issues but they could have mentioned these issues to me. Now my temp plate is about up, and no title has been sent to me. Please do NOT buy a car from here. And I'm not the only one that has had an issue with this dealership, another guy was walking in front of the dealership with a poster stating that this dealership is a scam and he said he has similar issues to mine. I purchased a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan and it has been horrible since. I only had the car for 2 weeks before it had a huge oil leak AND the front struts go bad. The manager Judith got the mechanic to help, but we still had to pay out of pocket for the struts. I was without my car for over a week during this time. And then I finally get my car back and then 2 weeks later there was another oil leak which Judith told me they took it to the VW dealership and got it fixed, which we have not received any documentation or paperwork showing this to be true and the leak is not even fixed, I'm having to pay another mechanic to complete the job correctly. AND I'm having to buy a new battery because the one that came with the car is dead already. On top of paying a lot of money for a car I've had to put so much more money into the car after buying it. This dealership sold me a lemon of a car and they knew it because when I tried to get them to buy the car back from me they wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. And the finance guy Manny is so beyond rude and honestly a prick. Oh and the salesman that helped me in purchasing the car quit because he did not like the way the management run this dealership and he wanted nothing to do with them (he called and told me after he quit and apologized for selling the car to me). He told me this dealership hides issues with the cars just to get them sold and he does not believe in that. This place is an absolute RIP OFF. Please PLEASE do not go here. This place is a joke and they are a bunch of scam artists. We went up to the lot to inquire about buying a 2021 Charger. At the time I had a 2008 ford crown Vic that I considered using for a trade. I had them appraise it and when they told me what they were offering, I told them ABSOLUTELY NO WAY! I decided to purchase the charger and right before the deal was done, I was told that the bank that was giving the loan said that I HAD to trade my crown Vic in or they weren't going to do the deal. I didn't want to but I really wanted the deal to happen so I did. I had no reason to not believe them. It didn't sit right with me so I contacted Capital One and got transferred to the department that handles that sort of thing. They asked me to hold while they did some digging and when they came back on the line they informed me that at no time did they state that I had to trade my car in. I have a BBB complaint in and you can read in one of their first replies that they state the bank requested the trade and then when I called them on it in my rebuttal, they completely changed their story and actually had the audacity to tell me I can give them the $500 that they gave me for it and I can have it back! Took it to Honda, I was out of $486 out the gate. Honda ended up finding a blown head gasket!!!!! $2300. I hadn't drove the car a month. The warranty ain't worth anything either. Vehicle was overpriced on KBB retail and especially due to the condition. Vehicle had lots of wear and tear from heavy use in New York City metro area. I made an offer $750 under asking and still above KBB retail. I listed 5 items I'd have to fix or replace costing at least $1000. I bought my vehicle from CarFace on July 20th and only 6 days later I started experiencing major transmission issues. My car was getting stuck in gears and would no longer go into reverse. Despite CarFace telling me roadside assistance was included in my warranty, I was left stranded and unable to get my vehicle towed for days. The communication with the warranty company was a nightmare, with constant delays and misinformation. After finally having the vehicle looked at, the entire transmission needed to be replaced. The first replacement transmission that was ordered by the warranty company turned out to be faulty, leading to even more delays and a second replacement needing to be ordered. The lack of knowledge from the warranty company representative was astounding, as they could not even provide basic information about the replacement transmission. After contacting CarFace about their faulty vehicle, they refused to work with me and help me. Their manager told me they would call me back and now 1 month later I have yet to hear from him in the slightest. Overall, the whole process was a complete mess and I was left without a properly functioning vehicle for over 2 1/2 months. I would strongly advise against doing business with CarFace or their associated warranty company, as the level of service and communication was abysmal. If you want to buy a lemon from someone, CarFace is the perfect place to do it. read more

I purchased a vehicle on Sept 5th. It is now Nov 9th and I don't have my title. The second temporary tag is due to expire on Nov 14. I finally talked to someone and they are having problems getting the title from the auction place. Not my problem. Solution bring car back and we will refund your money in full but then I have no car. Car needed two new front tires and I replaced. They will have to reimburse me for those too. I specifically asked was there anything wrong with the vehicle I was told no. I purchased a warranty also. On April 25, 2024 less than 3 weeks after paying over 12,000 in cash for this vehicle the engine starts to make a whistling sound and the check engine light came on. I take it to the dealership and the problem is going to cost me 3,000 dollars. The warranty company I purchased the warranty through is not covering the repair either saying the issue, that is part of the Engine, is not covered!!! This is the biggest rip off I've ever been apart of. A car company that sells you a faulty car, offers you a warranty from a company that will not cover your repairs and has a bad reputation for not covering repairs. I contacted Carface and have yet to hear back from them. I just wanted a reliable car and for 12,000 I should not have to deal with a 3,000 repair and I haven't had the car for a month. I bought a car a few months ago from here. As I was pulling out of the lot, the car stalled and turned off completely. The man helping me said that it had never done this before, and said he took it back to their garage to check it and see if they could tell what was wrong with it. He came back shortly to let me know that there was nothing wrong with the car, but that the way I had moved the shifter caused it to stall out. I took the car on a test drive, and it performed as normal. Believing him, I signed for the car and left that day. The same day, I was driving about 40 mph and the car shut off completely in the middle of the road. I let it sit for a couple minutes and it turned on and ran as normal. This became a usual problem, the car turning off completely as I was driving 60+ mph on highways to get to work. when I took the car in to the shop, they diagnosed the problem and took care of it. Something carface could have and should have done when the car shut off on their lot instead of blaming me for how I was driving it. I also was told if I made an early payment I would receive 50% off of another months payment, but upon asking Judith and the other sales people about I was ghosted and never received any information about that discounted payment. After the test drive, I was pushed over to the sales desk and had papers shoved in my face asking for signatures and completion of the sale when I didn't even get to speak with the sales person about the actual price of the car. The lady helping, Judith, jumped into paperwork because she had assumed i had been spoken to about the car in detail when in reality I had literally just taken it on a brief test drive and had absolutely no discussion beyond the shape of the vehicle. I don't want to give them one star, because I eventually refinanced my car and got the issues fixed, but I will absolutely never be returning here. It's also embarrassing how they are pettily replying to bad reviews online blaming customers for their poor practices. It rubs me the wrong way and is not a business I am happy I supported.
