The Maxim office here could not take our case as they didn't have enough nursing for their current cases let alone new ones (or so we were told). Premiere took us in right away and within a month or so we had a new nurse who we absolutely love. We are sad but also happy that our beloved nurse is moving on to further her education/license and we are still staying with Premiere as we search for a new nurse. While many agencies don't have any nurses for us to meet or try, Premier has sent us several to try and we are continuing our search with them to find the right one for our home and schedule. The office staff is amazing, kind, helpful, responsive, etc. They know me when I call and make me feel welcomed. I am much happier with Premier than I ever was with Maxim. I also like that Premier has all of their charting on tablets instead of paper charts that took up half a drawer in my house and seemed less organized. Overall, we are very happy.

However, the care is excellent The staff are amazing the facility is spotless. the housekeeping staff are efficient and work hard. They are constantly working. there is no odor. that confirms how efficient and effective they are. And yet, they readily admit that their most frequent and common complaint is about the food! Really?? I have a food allergy. And without fail there was always food on my tray that I could not eat. I requested a meeting with a kitchen supervisor. We discussed ALL of the issues with the food. He appeared disinterested. But he did tell me he didn't eat the food. He also told me they had shelled eggs. So at the very least I could have an edible breakfast, an egg and 2 slices of bacon. They don't have sourdough or French bread. These do not contain dairy. the bread they serve is similar to foam, once toasted it is tough and inedible. they have no training in how to identify what the dishes contain for allergy problems. Especially those that are made from mixes. I spent 3 weeks there and lost 10 pounds. When I got home I read all of the discharge paperwork. To my amazement it stated that I ate 75 to 100% of my meals. I was lucky to get one full meal a day. This left me speechless. I am going to call one of the administrators but having been gone for so long I have a lot on my plate, no pun intended. The Springs has a 4 star rating according to their posts. If they improved the quality of the food they would score 5 stars. Healing requires food. That's what the Springs is all about. Their food doesn't correlate with their mission. And now the transportation they arranged for me. A subpar privately owned outfit called 9 OneLife. The van was dirty, I rode next to the spare tire and the passenger seat near me was broken but the helper sat in it anyway. The shocks were so bad that my back hurt for days. I felt beaten up by the time I arrived at The Springs and was sore for days. The Springs needs to do better.

My brother and I went to five different assisted and Memory Care Facilities around the Temecula Murrieta area, and all of their memory cares look like zombieland. Very few caregivers, everybody sitting around doing nothing, no music, no one doing activities no laughing and very very depressing. And then we found Vineyard Ranch. The facility is beautiful and very well-kept. When we walked into the memory care, everybody was out of their rooms and doing something. People were laughing, talking activities were going on everywhere, and staff were visible throughout the rooms. Completely different environment and that made us very, very happy. She has been there for 3 weeks now, and she doesn't mention going home at all. She tells everyone this is her home and that she loves it there. She's always doing an activity and keeping busy. She's made a lot of friends. The food is good and she finishes all of her meals. Staff are always there to keep an eye on everyone. After any exercise, the staff brings everyone protein smoothies. Every Thursday they have an excursion to someplace fun and stimulating. At a time when dealing with a situation like this, it can be extremely stressful and create feelings of guilt. Vineyard Ranch has made the transition smooth, easy, and very pleasant. We are so happy to see Mom happy laughing and involved. Couldn't ask for more than that.
