The plan of care was created after careful listening by the doctor and the staff to patient/family concerns. The plan was then implemented consistently over his 6 week stay. The nurses and case manager maintained necessary updates while also responding to my calls in real time. They were all professional and thoughtful. The facility itself is modern, clean and has large patient rooms. The physical therapy room is also large, modern and welcoming. There is a place for patients to safely sit outside. We feel fortunate in having the recovery phase in this skilled nursing facility. When we really needed help the staff who work in this modern facility came through beautifully. This is that all SNFs should strive to be! I've seen comments about the food. A lot of patients are on restricted diets and I'm guessing that is where the complaints are coming from because if they can't use salt or fat in the cooking, food will be very bland. My father was not on a restricted diet and was happy with all the meals he got - except his steak which was cooked so well-done that niether he nor his roommate could cut it or even bite into it. So order the alternative meal on steak night, and I'm sure your loved one will be a happy camper.

My brother and I went to five different assisted and Memory Care Facilities around the Temecula Murrieta area, and all of their memory cares look like zombieland. Very few caregivers, everybody sitting around doing nothing, no music, no one doing activities no laughing and very very depressing. And then we found Vineyard Ranch. The facility is beautiful and very well-kept. When we walked into the memory care, everybody was out of their rooms and doing something. People were laughing, talking activities were going on everywhere, and staff were visible throughout the rooms. Completely different environment and that made us very, very happy. She has been there for 3 weeks now, and she doesn't mention going home at all. She tells everyone this is her home and that she loves it there. She's always doing an activity and keeping busy. She's made a lot of friends. The food is good and she finishes all of her meals. Staff are always there to keep an eye on everyone. After any exercise, the staff brings everyone protein smoothies. Every Thursday they have an excursion to someplace fun and stimulating. At a time when dealing with a situation like this, it can be extremely stressful and create feelings of guilt. Vineyard Ranch has made the transition smooth, easy, and very pleasant. We are so happy to see Mom happy laughing and involved. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Kat plans a wide variety of fun, engaging, and meaningful activities that keep residents active and connected. My parents participate daily in many of Kat's programs--from exercise in the gym, balloon games, trivia, and bingo, to flower arranging, chair Pilates, core strength classes, and their favorite: Thursday Happy Hour with live music!
