I went CareNow Buda yesterday. (I had been to ARC Urgent Care on 2/20 for sore throat and persistent cough. After taking recommended meds, I had no improvement. I tried to schedule another ARC Urgent Care appt., but they had no opening until 3/13!) CareNow Buda saw me immediately and they were awesome! It is a wonderful, friendly, excellent facility. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These people double-charged me for a simple covid/flu test back in January and kept hassling me for an appointment THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR. Had to fight with them and insurance for a whole day just to get SOME of the money they took from me back. In addition to the scummy billing practices, the care itself was pretty abysmal as well. I went in said "hey i have xyz symptom. I think I may have strep." The guy barely looked at me, gave a covid/flu test, and said "yeah probably," and wrote me a script for antibiotics. Didn't bother to run a culture or ask any follow-up questions. Horrible place. Will never be returning no matter what. read more

My daughter had ear infection, after the visit they prescribed her ear drops. She did not feel well for the medicine. When we brought her back basically they want us to pay again for the same issue . Emily which the customer service told me over the phone that she's not going to go back in forth and my daughter will not be seen if we don't pay again . I walked in and was seen almost immediately. I was pretty injured and I appreciated the urgency of the staff. The two women at the front desk were kind and helpful. I wish I had gotten their names to mention in the review because they truly impressed me with their patience and cheerfulness in what can be a stressful job. David was my x ray technician and he was helpful and was a shining star. I appreciated his cheerfulness. I had a great experience and they made the dread of an urgent care visit disappear. read more

Not ever the kind of place you want to frequent, but I think I've been here two (or maybe three) times since moving to Buda in 2020. It is what it is. A place you go for minor-ish concerns. I personally was without any health insurance for several years, so this kind of place is where I would go to solve something, for example a UTI I was experiencing (one visit) and a chest pain concern (another visit). I will say that the desk staff are not the world's nicest humans... which is a bit off-putting when what you really need in a time of crisis is someone compassionate and caring to calm you down or assure you you'll be taken care of. They're just kind of paper-pushers/cashiers (in my case, shoveling out $150ish out of pocket a visit, ouch). At the check-in process a clipboard with paperwork will be shoved into your hands to write down all your details, though some of it is done through your smart phone and it's all pretty annoying. And sometimes you'll end up waiting a good long while to see a doctor, depending on when you arrive (last time I went in promptly at opening at 8AM to be first in line). The actual doctors on the other hand are great; all of them have been really humanizing, good at listening, and even strike-up-a-conversation friendly (and they're why I'm leaving 4 stars). They're good about making sure your prescriptions get sent to your preferred location and will even send Rx's to multiple locations to get you a lower price! So appreciated when you're on a tight budget, seriously. Last time I went I asked about prices for getting an EKG and they were able to tell me exactly the cost I would be responsible for so I could decide if I wanted to go through with it or not. That kind of transparency is rare for a medical establishment, when so often these things are confusing and convoluted with insurance. read more

I have never seen a more unhelpful receptionist at a medical facility in my life as the one working at the Buda facility today. As elderly people in our 70s, we were very dissatisfied with the requirement that we must be able to put drivers license and health care insurance information into a computer program. After sitting in the waiting area for 10 minutes, trying to use my phone to put my cards into their website, my husband and I told her we were unable to put our information into the site. So we would have to go somewhere else to be seen. She said, "okay". We won't be using this urgent care facility again. read more

Use this place one time for my daughter to get some stitches went back to get the stitches out and they said I owed for the first visit. I haven't even received a bill yet. How can I pay a bill that I don't even have? They wouldn't remove her stitches. Avoid at all cost. read more

This is terrible facility run by sub par medical professionals The guarantee quick check in online was a hoax. I called and was told to come in and register it would be faster. Not true, I arrived at 9:00 am and it 2:00 pm before I was discharged. The PA did not subscribe anything for a Covid 19 positive test. She was clearly understaffed and over worked. They only have 4 beds. They were able to take my copay quickly. I called back today, spoke to Caroline and she was no help. The medical assistant Sebastian seemed to be running the place. Stay away! Horrible. Firstly, a two hour wait really means four. They don't have IVs on the premises and only the doctor knew that? They had me wait for FOUR hours before telling me they couldn't help me and by then I needed emergency help so they sent me to the ER in an ambulance. I mentioned needing IV fluids to both the receptionist and the red headed nurse before I even saw the doctor and neither of them knew that that wasn't an option. If anyone knew what they were doing at this clinic, it could have saved me a 550$ ER deductible- i much rather have used that four hours to find a different urgent care that has the services I needed. Everyone do yourselves a favor and find somewhere else or just go ahead to the ER. This place is a joke. read more

I called and the lady that answered the phone did it as if she was answering her personal phone. Rudely told me to wait for my email that I was next.... 7:40 comes and I call again. Worst place ever. Two days in a row that I have checked in, hours before closing, only to get a call later that they won't be able to see me! If you have to lock the door right at 7:00 pm and your employees need to get home right then, you shouldn't take any patients after 2:00 pm so you can hurry and get that door locked. My husband went here for what he thought was a kidney infection but ended up being covid. When he left he asked for a doctors note and they said that the discharge paperwork should work. Well obviously that didn't work because there was no doctors signature. So he called to get one emailed to him and they sent him one without a doctors signature on it! Finally after 48 hours and arguing with the nurses we were able to get one with an actual signature on it.. I have literally never struggled so hard to get a signature. read more

I've been here before months ago and waited hours to be seen, only to be told they couldn't do anything and I would have to go somewhere else. Yesterday, once again I made the mistake of trying to be seen at this urgent clinic. My child was sick and so I checked in online on the waiting list. Website clearly states that you will usually been seen by a doctor within an hour, not at all accurate. I waited 4 hours and didn't hear anything from the clinic. I called to verify that my son was on the waiting list. The women who answered the phone was rude and simply said "ya." And hung up, Without even asking for the name or anything. I hung up and continued to wait. For five hours. Here I am, over 36 hours later and never heard anything from the clinic. Thank you for wasting my time when I should have tried somewhere else to begin with. Went in for a covid test, online it says walk in's only. When I got there they said it would be a 1.5-2 hour wait so I asked if I could go home and come back. They said yes and that I'd get a text 15-20 mins before my appointment. I never got a text so I went back at the two hour mark and they got the lady In front of me into a room as soon as she walked through the door. Then the lady at the desk told me I'd be put in the next room that opens up. I waited for about 2 hours in the lobby, why would they ask me to take a seat and wait if I was there for a covid test??? After I waited 4 hours for a test just for the nurse to blow into her gloves before putting them on to do my swab?!?!?!! What the hell is happening at this place they take zero precautions for covid as far as I can tell. This place is a joke read more

She understood I was is some serious pain. She sewed me up Ann talked to me the whole time. The rest of the staff was also friendly and professional. Worst clinic I have ever been too. Front desk staff and nursing staff are rude and act like you're an inconvenience just being there. The place had one other patient so wasn't sure why they were acting like they did. Come to find out they had just ordered pizza so I guess patients were ruining their lunch. My issue is I paid $155 dollars for nothing and not even genuine Healthcare. Front desk worker was lazy and couldn't be bothered while she sat on her phone. The nurses are uneducated and I would of been better off googling my symptoms. But it makes sense why they are working at a urgent care, they can't cut it as an actual nurse. The only worker there that was any help was the red head girl. She was very genuine. I was going to get an ekg and xray to rule out some chest and back pain, but after the red head walked out and let them know I heard the coworker she told audibly sigh in disgust because she wouldn't be able to eat her pizza. It's pretty ridiculous that you have full staff of people sitting around on their phones but when someone comes in they are going to treat them like they are a burden. It honestly makes sense why they work as paper pushers and fake nurses. Not a brain cell or ounce of empathy between the bunch of them. I wasn't rude, demanding, or anything of the like. I had a genuine concern, paid out of pocket and only expected just genuine service in return. read more

Had to go into this place while traveling. For the Record, the technician who administered my COVID test was EXCELLENT. Since then, they lost my test, made promises to call me back and have not and I've been on a quest for over a week to find the results to my test. They've got my money, no promise of a refund, Marissa the manager would not get on the phone with me ("you'll be on hold all day because she is not going to talk to you - she's busy"). That's not poetic license, that is verbatim. In particular, David provided some of the worst customer service I've ever received. Not courteous, unapologetic, and combative. David-you should be ashamed, and so should CareNow Buda. read more
