Loved the idea of this place that you can pre-register online. Esp. during flu season when you don't want to be sitting in a room with people who are sick. You just get your call and go right in. I was taken back within minutes of arriving. Barely had any wait in my room. The doctor, I wish I could remember his name was SO nice. Being that I don't have an established primary doctor care now took care of what I needed for my sickness. He was on point, quick, but still very personable. I was highly impressed. They have great hours for flu season as well. If I'm ever in a pinch again and in need of a quick doctors appointment I know where I'll be going! read more

They do not care about you or your health. I was given a very bogus diagnosis. The doctor kept rushing me. Didn't check a lot of the standard things that should be checked. They obviously don't care in here and I won't be back. There are other places to go to. I also plan to report this doctor as he laughed at me when I asked about my condition, he also prescribed me antibiotics without really knowing what was going on. My wife and myself have been going to our CareNow local outlet in Allen Texas for almost ten years. We have had positive experience with this branch of CareNow. In the fall of 2013, I had to go to CareNow for an Upper Respitory Infection. Dr Walton was the attending physician that day. He noted that I had a 'slightly elevated' blood pressure reading. I stated to Dr Walton that the BP numbers read are valid. I added, my regular attending local physician has been monitoring this for the past few years. My regular physician did not prescribe me any script for this elevated, not high, BP level because the medicine for the condition was more tailored to High BP levels and not elevated, and that the medicine would do more harm than good. I agreed with my physician's determination. I would prefer not taking a medication unless absolutely necessary. Dr Walton disagreed with this approach of thinking. He insisted that I come back in the next two weeks for another BP reading. I choose not to re-vist based on Dr Walton's feelings on this matter, as I have a regular physician and that I vist CareNow for 24 hour care. In January 2014, I was stricken with the flu. I then had to visit CareNow once more. Upon seeing Dr Walton, he remembered me and was noticablly agitated that I did not follow his orders and visit CareNow two weeks after my last visit. Dr Walton would not let me talk at all in this visit. Even when I attempted to detail the medical condition i was currently suffering from. He concluded that he was going to have his assistant come in and provide me with a 'bucket' that I was suppose to take home with me. This bucket was suppose to collect a solid waste sample. I was then suppose to scoop up into test tubes some samples of my solid waste and come back to CareNow for analysis by Dr Walton. Upon my next visit to my regular physician, I immediately detailed what Dr Walton ordered me to do. My and I both agreed that all Dr Walton was animated about was that I wouldn't come back for medication that I didn't need for an already determined ELEVATED blood pressure level. I ask this, how can looking at my poop give a Dr a better look at my vitals? No thank you Dr Walton. You can play your games with other patients who think you're young and cool and have watched too many prime time hospital TV dramas. read more

If there is a zero star, it will be a big 0!!The worst experience for my wife!! My wife called to inquire for a TB test as requirement for employment and the one who answered the phone said no need for appointment and just walk in for $20 only, so it's not that bad. So my wife was checked in, lead to one of the rooms and surprisingly a doctor went, my wife was wondering and the dr just did the usual check up, the heart and lungs and asked the reason for the visit, my wife told the dr, she just want a TB test, dr told her someone will come to give her the test. And then my wife went to check out. Surprise!! you just been robbed, my wife have to pay $160 for the doctors visit plus the test $20!! You were there to get one of the requirements to get a JOB! My wife haven't got the JOB yet or accepted!! We already owe $180!!! Thats the country we live in!! It's HOPELESS! No one can explain in CARENOW the situation!!! read more

Been using this location for a very long time. In the last year this location has gone downhill. Did a web check in at 2pm. Got the call to come in at 4:30pm. Arrived at 4:45. Sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes. Sat in the examination room for 30 min. waiting for the doctor. Got a NP instead. FINALLY did an x-ray and blood test for pneumonia and still sitting here. It is now 6:30 pm. Have not gotten any results. Looks like it will be 7:00 before we get out of here. I am done with this location. It is unacceptable that once I am here, it STILL takes OVER 2 hours. read more

I am totally impressed by this CareNow clinic. We are from Florida & our last two visits to Dallas we needed some medical attention. Where do you go? I loved that you went on line to make an appointment, they call you to let you know at what time to come in so you don't spend hours sitting in a waiting room. They have great hours. They are ready for you when you come in. They are efficient. I found that all of the staff that we came into contact with knew their job. We were properly diagnosed with excellent results. I have no qualms using this health clinic. I actually prefer it to our Florida one. read more

The wait was impossible but we knew that part before even going there. So let's say this is "our fault". I think there was a huge lack of professionalism. My daughter was seen by two nurses who asked the same things and noted them on paper. Then waited about 10-15 minutes for the doctor to come and ask THE SAME QUESTIONS not even pretending to read what we were asked. She alarmed us even more. She wouldn't know what to do than just make the entire thing bigger. What frustrates me the most is that if they are not ready for an infant DON'T EVEN MAKE US GO THERE. You asked us the patient's information. You knew. Don't accept us! We finally came to the conclusion of going somewhere else. I will blame on us that we ended up going to this place first. It didn't even worked on my Mom who is 60 years old back 2 years ago when we took her here. I will never go back here. I will not recommend it. If you have insurance, pay the co-pay and go to a more knowledgeable and with resources place that is worth your time and most important: your loved one's care. read more

Am surprised at all the great reviews this place has got. Guess with an urgent care everyday is different, so I'll write this with a pinch of salt. Let me start with the pros 1. Easy and convenient to do an online check in 2. Once you've checked in, you just sit and wait at the convenience of your home to get called in 3. Once I got in, I had some paper work to fill out and submit my license and insurance card which took about 5 mins, and then the wait was no more than 5-6 mins before I got called in. 4. Nurse was quick and did his part before leaving to get the doctor. Thats how far I got before deciding to write this review. I've been waiting for 40 mins now and have stepped out twice reminding them am around, but no one has come in yet. So let me get to the cons 1. Even if you check in online, 2-3 hrs is still a long wait, but I'll give them that, cus if its an emergency, then thats where I should be headed 2. Once you've waited 2 hrs to get called in, and if you have to wait another hr to see a doctor I don't see the point. A short waiting time at the receptionist doesn't mean you should be prepared for an unbearably long wait inside. 3. I definitely needed an xray based on the injury I had, even I can tell that, so the nurse practitioner could have taken the call in my opinion and suggested an x-ray while I waited for the doctor. After the second time I went out and suggested if we could at least get an xray based on what they've seen so far and then a technician came in and took me to the xray room. Really.... I will update my review again later today based on how the rest of my time here goes. I got in here at 4:40pm and it is now 5:50pm and I still haven't seen the doctor even once. So far my experience has been a 2.5 mainly cus of the wait and me requesting the xray to reduce the wait. if that changes I will update my review Update: Doctor did come in, told me he had a look at my xray and that it was just a strain, but it felt like more, I've had a sprain before and it doesn't hurt this bad. I told him I wanted the radiologist report and he said it would come back only after two days (next day was off so it was ok). He then said I don't need to wear anything and it would heal in 3-4 weeks. Then he left and the nurse came in to explain things. Just when I was about to leave the doctor came back in and told me that he looked the xray again and thought he saw a bone and it was very light and suggested I get a post op boot for 3-4 weeks and come back in 10-14 days for a follow up. I couldn't understand, cus he didn't mention a fracture or anything so I asked him to draw it out. Looked like a hairline fracture, but he didn't really give me proper details. THE STAFF HERE AND THE SUPERVISOR LIE. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MEDICAL CARE HERE. This review is from an educated consumer (with a Masters degree) who experienced how disorganized and dishonest the patient care is at this location. Update Monday 2/18/19: Spoke with a supervisor for this location. Supervisor disclosed that they received a shipment of flu shots Friday. Communication at this location is non-existent because she informed the Friday staff they had received flu shots. That message was not relayed to the Saturday staff and when we were there on Saturday they said they do not carry a flu vaccine for ages 5-8 (after waiting an hour). Furthermore, the supervisor *admitted* that the staff was not familiar with the vaccine they had received on Friday as they received a new shipment as the previous manufacturer had stopped making the vaccine. Per the supervisor, the staff was trained today, which is two days AFTER we were requesting said shot to be administered. So what is it? They don't every carry flu shots for 5-8yr old? They usally do and don't have them? They couldn't find the box? AND WHY DID THEY TELL US WE COULD HAVE A FLU SHOT FOR MY 5 yr old WHICH IS A VACCINE THEY WEREN'T EVEN FAMILIAR WITH (THE AGE RANGE HAS CHANGED BY THE MANUFACTURER). And if the age range has changed, it also means they LIED to us Saturday because they told us they do not carry a vaccine for ages 5-8 for the flu. Also, when I discussed calling the TX Board to file a complaint, the superviser wouldn't even give me her last name. I had provided my name and contact information requesting a call back so she could contact me with the names of the staff from Saturday (because she said she would have to find out who was there Saturday). Oddly, after I gave my contact information, she gave me the first names only (no last names even when I asked) of the Saturday staff. So why take my information and not provide *all* of the information I am asking. So dishonest. Do you have something to hide? Do you NOT want me to call the board? I guess you realize that you should know what you are trying to adminster. ALSO, I just read a review on Google and the response from the clinic is to contact SHAY. THE SUPERVISOR I SPOKE TO WHEN I ASKED FOR THE SPELLING OF HER NAME SPELLED SHA. REALLY? You are going to lie to me about how to spell your name? THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY LYING IN PATIENT CARE. PERIOD. UNACCEPTABLE Review left the day of service 2/16/19: Completely disorganized. Informed the staff upon arrival that both an adult flu shot and flu shot for a 5 yr old were needed. They couldn't locate the paperwork for an adult flu shot. Continued to ask how long it was going to take and was repeatedly told "just a minute". After an hour of waiting, they finally say they can access the adult form for a flu shot, but they do not carry flu shots for 5-8 yrs old. As in, they don't carry them at any point in time and not that they happen to be out. Then, they try to push the adult flu shot despite the lack of disclosure regarding the 5-8 yr old shot. Adult shot was declined because of their dishonesty and disorganization. read more

I went there as I was sick for few days and I did not have a family physician after moving into Allen. Regret every moment going there. First, they do tests to boost the bill and the sad part is that they did not do the tests they should have done. I ended up going to an internist as a follow-up and thats when I realized. May be this reflects the doctor more than the facility. The place is clean and well maintained. I will never go there again. read more

I recently went to this Care Now location for a hand injury. I used the web check-in to reduce the amount of time spent waiting there. After being called in, the appointment still took over three hours with most of this time alone in an exam room. After x-rays I was told I had broken a bone in my hand and given a couple of prescriptions. I was made to feel like a criminal when the nurse gave me the prescriptions for pain medication. The doctor called that evening to check on me (which is nice). I let her know that I was still in a lot of pain and she said to call back the next day to get a stronger prescription. When the medication was not working the next day, I called numerous times throughout the day to speak with the doctor. They were always too busy. I left several messages with the nurse for the doctor to call me back. I eventually gave up. Later that evening I received a call from the nurse. I was told the to double the dosage but to not expect a refill even though I would run out quickly. I was told to schedule another appointment for a new evaluation. I can only think that the doctors there are afraid to treat pain with anything stronger than ibuprofen or acetaminophen. I would not recommend this place for any injury requiring pain medication. Additionally, they tried to schedule two different follow up appointments to make sure the bone is healing right. While this place is cheaper than the emergency room, I guess you get what you pay for. read more

He contacted the hospital and advised them that we were in route, they were waiting for us upon arrival. She was admitted on Saturday and is still in today being treated for her illness. After their web check in app closed 4 times, I decided to just go in. I got there at 9ish and waited 1.5 hours to be called back and waited another half hour in the room. The doctor prescribed me an antibiotic and I was charged $50. Upon getting to the pharmacy, I was told the meds were considered "specialty" so I called all day trying to get the dr to change it all the while feeling like crap. Finally at 330 they called to say they just sent it to the pharmacy but when I got to the pharmacy a hour later, they said they had JUSt gotten it and I'd have to wait longer. So I started out at 830 and didn't get my rx until 530. Really restful sick day. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I went in on Wednesday, October 9th with flu like symptoms. I had just moved back to Texas and hadn't received my insurance cards yet from my new employer. The lady behind the counter with the ponytail did absolutely nothing to help me. Told me that if I didn't have my info then I would have to pay out of pocket. Before I left I was finally able to get my group number for my insurance and I gave her my ss#. She said, nope not good enough. She said she had to have the ID # as well. I know that she could've called my insurance provider and found me in the system, she was just too lazy to do so. I ended paying out of pocket and submitting a claim. This woman showed absolutely no work ethic or commitment to helping patients. She obviously just wants to get her paycheck and go home. Obviously, my family and I won't be going back. This is the third urgent care enter I have tried. The other two were very poor. This one is by far my favorite. Knowledgeable support staff and good doctors. Clean facility. Brought my 7 year old in for a bad cough in Sunday. The Dr. Wanted her to be tested for the flu and do a chest X-ray. I told him why the flu test, no fever, vomit or anything else. He said just so he could rule it out (also costs an additional $50+ even though they couldn't give her anything if she had the flu). I told him we could start with the chest X-ray first. An hour later, it looks like she might have pneumonia. He prescribes antibiotics and steroids but says he know wants to do blood work. Don't know why one would need blood work for pneumonia. I told him I didn't think she would do blood work today as she's feeling horrible. I said I would come back for blood work. I call back in a couple days to bring my girl in for blood work and they say they won't do it without yet another Dr appointment even though the Dr there wanted her to have blood work done a couple days earlier. So I would pay another couple hundred just because I didn't want her to blood work when she was sick a few days earlier. I call my daughter's primary doctor and they say that there is no symptom, sign or reason why she would need another appointment or blood work. I'm glad the antibiotics cleared up her cough but it looks like this location or at least the Dr we saw wants to over test and charge you for everything. I mean, chest X-rays, flu tests, blood tests and follow ups with them for a cough and they charge for everything. Great for emergencies on a Sunday but be prepared for them to look at you as a sick ATM machine. read more

I went to this facility on the day after Thanksgiving because my regular Dr's office was closed. I did the web check in and was told the wait time was 4 hours. After 4 hours, I got the call and I headed over to the clinic. During this visit, I met with Dr. Blouch. I took a rapid strep test and it came back negative. The Dr said she would send it over to the lab to do a culture on it. She explained it could take 3 to 5 days. My husband has strep throat, my daughter has strep throat....and I have white patches on the back of my throat, so I was pretty confident it would come back positive. The Dr explained if my symptoms got worse to go ahead and start the antibiotic. My symptoms did not get worse, but were constant. The office called to follow up with me and asked how I was doing. I explained the same. They asked if I had started my medicine, and I explained we were waiting on the culture to come back and I was instructed to take it if my symptoms got worse. She double checked my lab and said it had not come back. The following day I called the Dr and asked if my lab had returned. Robin checked on it and said it has not come back and she would call me back. She said she would recommend filling the prescription. I go to the pharmacy and they said the DOB on the prescription does not match my birthday. NICE, huh? Tues comes along, still no return call from Robin. I called the office and they explain there was not a lab sent out for me. I explained I had called to check up on it on Sat and Monday and they said it had not come back. Amanda explained she does not know what happened, but they did not submit a culture for me. I explained they did do a culture to send off and I wanted to know where my cultural was. I highly doubt it was just tossed in a trash can. My concern is now someone came in to be tested for strep -- and the cultures got confused. I insisted they double check all the cultures that went out that day because someone else may be taking a prescription based of a culture that wasn't their's. Ashley called and said the Dr asked me to return to retake the cultures. At this point, I think their web check in service is great, the people were nice, but at what cost?? It appears as if they are focusing on office management and not patient health care. I explained I would definitely not be returning to repeat any cultures at this office. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Yes the office is clean and they have a check in service, but I do not recommend the care that is given. read more

I have been to this clinic multiple times and the staff and doctors have also been really nice and helpful. I have always found the staff to be caring and have always received appropriate treatment in a timely manner. I will continue to come here as needed. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I went in to get a covid test on Saturday 11/21 out of precaution before seeing family on thanksgiving. I was told it could take 3-5 business days to get results but they would call me when they came in. A week goes by and I had no call and no results on labcorp portal (which they have a sign in the office saying you can see results on there). Finally a week and 2 days later on 11/30 I call to get update and they have my results in. The didn't call or email with the results and I was stuck waiting until way after the holiday to get results. Then I find out that they had my results the same say I was in the office!!! Longer than a week later and they were never going to call with the results. Worst experience and a complete waste of money. I will never go back to a care now ever again and will tell anyone that asks to not go here and pick a different urgent care facility to go to. read more

I hate going to the doctor because of all the delays and waiting. I'll only go unless I really have to go, like I'm miserable. Today happened to be one of those days. I do not have a GP here in Texas yet so I looked for the next best thing. I'm so happy I went to CareNow. I honestly wish all doctors offices were this efficient. I made an appointment online, they called me in less than 5 minuets to tell me when to show up. My appointment was at 12:30. I showed up and they said it would be a few minute wait due to an emergency and they were waiting for rooms to open. I'll admit I wasn't happy when they told me because I was felt awful and sitting in a waiting room was the last thing I wanted to do. However, I understood, emergencies happen so I sat for maybe 15 minuets. No big deal. I went back, the nurse did what she needed to do and not long after she left the room I saw the NP. She examined me, said I had a sinus infection and that was it. I felt she took an appropriate time to go over my symptoms and didn't rush me. I had to wait in the waiting room for my prescriptions but that didn't take long either. I was out the door at 1:10, I was shocked. I couldn't have asked for a more efficient appointment. read more

Went to Allen Care Now facility on March 24, 2020 with chest pain and finger joint complaint. Filled out online check in at 3:24 pm with those symptoms, reiterated the same symptoms to the receptionist who called to confirm my appointment. Upon arriving to the facility, filled out paperwork that clearly stated the same chest pain symptoms and had to wait outside a while due to Covid procedures. When I finally got in, I had my vitals taken and the doctor arrived only to inform me that the facility doesn't have the necessary equipment to diagnose chest pain and that I should go to the ER in case I was having a heart attack. Joint pain was not even addressed. An hour and a half passed between my check-in and getting out of Care Now facility, which if I really was having a heart attack, could be a matter of life and death. Needless to to say, I received the full bill for my visit and my dispute case on this matter filed on 5/21/20 was denied. Complaint filed with BBB was ignored by the business as well. Maybe I should protest against this legal robbery by breaking windows and looting? read more

Great staff! I wasn't feeling well, and needed to see a doctor. I looked at several urgent care centers in the area, as I am new to Texas. I found this one, and it had lots of information on the website, including price. I was so pleased with the web check-in. They called me about 10 minutes before the doctor was ready to see me. I drove over, and was immediately called back. I was in and out in less than an hour. I am feeling 100% now because of their care. Thanks! read more

ALMOST KILLED MY DAUGHTER! I was in the hospital with bilateral knee replacement surgery - and the morning after my surgery, my 16 year old daughter came down with a high fever 103.7 - my 18 year old son took her to CARE NOW in Allen on McDermott. Her blood pressure was 60/40, her resting heart rate was 135bmp, her fever was 104! They did blood work and saw all her levels were off the charts with severe infection! They didn't know what kind of infection, however. I was 15 hours post op, deeply medicated - and could do nothing. I was was not coherent! CARE NOW did not call an AMBULANCE! They told my 18 year old son to take her to Cooks Childrens Hospital in Plano. WHEN MY KIDS ARRIVED TO THE COOK ER - MY DAUGHTER WAS MOVED ICU & isolation IN LESS THAN 60 MINUTES. Her organs were shutting down - she was in septic shock. WHY DIDN'T CARE NOW CALL AN AMBULANCE???? After a week at Childrens, intensive care and heavy doses of antibiotics - my daughter was released, and is fine, THANK GOD! SHE HAD TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME. WHY DIDN'T THEY CALL AN AMBULANCE???? Great clinic: clean, and the wait was not long (but l would guess there are times when the clinic is very busy). Visited this clinic because l was not happy with my new general practitioner whom someone had recommended. When l saw Dr. Raginwala, the CareNow physician, he accurately diagnosed me with bronchitis and provided the necessary medication. (My general practitioner had dismissed my symptoms as being a minor cold.) Two weeks later, l am doing better. read more

I can't impress how delighted I was with service today. This morning I did online check in at 7am. They opened at 8 and called me at 8 saying they would call back in about 45min when my appointment would be ready for me to go in. They called back at 8:30 and said they were ready for me. So very prompt!! When I got there, immediately they had paperwork for me and then called me to be seen so quickly, that my paperwork wasn't even completed yet. The nurse, X-ray tec, Dr, and front staff were so quick and efficient but not rushed. Diagnosed fast (acute bronchitis) and left with my prescriptions. Maybe the promptness as due to me being one of the first appointments of the day, however I'm still impressed. They all worked fine to do their jobs BUT many more than one person went above and beyond, looking me in the face with a smile and telling me they hope I get better soon. Amazingly enough, I don't remember a dr telling me this before. It was very memorable. Highly recommend this Care Now facility specifically and their online check-in (wait at home instead of waiting room). read more
