Made it just in time before the holidays, thank goodness. We had a closer and significantly cheaper bid (basically 1/3 of this company's charge) but they were not available Wed the 19th, and with the holidays and weather changing...could not risk waiting. Wed was the last sunny 50s day and all went well. Customer service was good. Workers were on time and completed tasks appropriately. Dings on stars for 2 things... the install isn't as even and perfect as I prefer (the tops and flashing pipes are not straight and it looks like the shingles were not peeled back evenly and placed back over the pipes fully on the lower bottoms)... and the owner said he would send me a receipt when the check cleared. Usually receipts are given at time of payment. Seems strange and made me pause. Note... it's been a week, pretty sure the check has cleared. Hmm. No receipt yet. *\(^o^)/*

Apparently everyone uses 4" flashing? Asked me to list my to-do list of what I THOUGHT WAS THE PROBLEM! C'mon. This WAS Wheaton Roofing and not someone using their name. Confirmed the invoice/proposal was in fact someone who worked at the company when the job was done. I can't put my parents through the legal issues of fighting a company denying the issues. It was true that reaching out to the owner and getting back from him was hard at the beginning, because he was in Florida according to another review I found, which was also confirmed with their guy Andy later. I found their email on their website, and Andy replied me after 2 days and said they would come out to inspect next week. They did come and told me they would send out their guys to fix it in the next few days. Amazingly they came back the next day and fixed everything before noon! Because our roof is still under warranty, so they didn't charge us anything. We are very happy they honored the warranty and fixed the roof so fast!

Instead, my sister's roof began leaking within 9 months after the tear-off and re-roof. Not only that it was not a small leak and it was not in one spot. It continued to get worse to the point that she contacted Oury to come out and assess and repair her roof. They sent their son, who looked around on the roof. He made a telling comment..."it looks like your flashing is old and damaged.". I was there with her when he made that comment and I assume that since the roof began to leak so badly and so quickly after it was finished that there was very shoddy workmanship and that they did not replace the flashing when they originally did the re-roof. The son applied some caulk around my sister's dormers. Of course, it continued to leak in her house every time it rained. She finally contacted their office and told them that she was unsatisfied with the quality of their work and nicely asked that they repair her roof as well as pay for the damage to her drywall ceilings in both her living and dining rooms. They immediately "lawyered up". "We don't know anything...it's in our insurance company's hands and our lawyer's hands." All she wanted them to do what a stand-up company would do. Admit their error, and re-do her roof. Instead, she never ever got a response from them or their lawyer despite her repeated followups. Ultimately, she had to go to another roofing company, Apex Roofing (who we would highly recommend) and pay AGAIN to have her roof re-roofed just two years after Oury did their poor job. PLEASE!! NEVER EVER CONSIDER USING OURY!! THEIR WORK QUALITY IS POOR AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK

From our initial meeting, to obtaining the permit, delivery of supplies and replacing the roof itself, absolutely everything went smoothly. The entire job was masterly facilitated by Larry Russell, an experienced roofer who is now the project manager. The roofing team consisted of 6 to 7 experienced roofers who have developed a steady rhythm after working together for years. Amazingly, the work was done on our large roof, back porch and the garage over a three day period! This included removal of the old shingles, installation of 6 feet of ice and water shield on the roof edges and valleys and installation of the new shingles. Working more neatly than any other roofing company I have seen, the roofers bag the old shingles on the roof, then carry the bags to their truck, hauling away the garbage at the end of the day. Workers regularly walked around the house to pick up loose roofing materials. At the end of the workday, a large magnet was used to scan for and remove errant nails. They kept a regular schedule, arriving and leaving at prearranged times. Everyone was polite and respectful.
