OK, well besides…read moreFRESH BERRY PIE with VANILLA BEAN ice cream or APPLE CIDER I'm not "jumping at the chance" to purchase ANYTHING in this small (yet absolutely adorable) mountain town. To Julian's defense I'm very aware they draw many tourists. I think when many of us are in "TOURIST MODE" we buy items of pure garbage...we just can't help it! So items like: janky John Wayne clocks, GIANT stuffed bald eagles, candy corn, cap guns, questionable art, HELLA questionable outfits, nick-knacks and "old West" maps that lead you to certified FOOLS GOLD are not a TRUE reflection of our buying behavior. Ahh shucks who am I kidding... I almost bought that John Wayne clock! Now when I happened across "Tucker's Treasures" my heart began to race...did I finally find a store where I could shop to my heart's content? Ummm...simply put NO. On the outside a dirty Julian sweatshirt was for sale. OK...that's a strange. So we made our way inside... it was all kinda hard to take in at once. To be honest "thrift store like" OR just REALLY odd was my first impression. Actually, words would not truly express my "retail first impression" I experienced here so I went ahead and included a few photos for your YELP enjoyment. My favorite was the creepy angel, but you may like even creepier manikin near restroom/sales area!?! I give this world of treasure 2 "As I looked at all the strange items for sale I was THIS CLOSE to loosing it with uncontrolled laughter" out of 10.

Very enormous with all sorts of goods like toys, snacks, artifacts, souvenirs, ornaments, games, and so much more. My favorite consisted of flowing fountains making me feel at peace. So much to see, I can spend hours hanging out in this store. Genuinely, this is the best store in this small town. Good friendly service was provided and would return in the future.

He took the time to explain the differences between sports cards, helped me understand how card values work, and answered all my questions without making me feel like a beginner. I definitely appreciate the help and would recommend this place to anyone new to sports cards!

Visited SD Sports Cards and was blown away by the organization, inventory, and welcoming staff. They're an authorized retailer of Topps (which is really what made me come by), and have everything in sports and TCG from baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, ufc, pokemon, etc. It's a small shop but they're set it up well to be able to find what you're looking for easily, whether it's supplies, autos, graded, or raw base cards. Staff also let me know of their Mira Mesa location which I still have yet to visit. Haven't bought anything yet, but did catch that some of the most coveted card boxes (i.e. boxes that only come with 1-3 rare cards) were cheaper than I've seen at other shops! Will definitely be back!

The Old Julian Garage was such a cute novelty gift shop. I…read moreSO wanted to love this place, but sadly I couldn't help to feel offended as my husband and I browsed the store last Sat. There were plenty of other tourists in the shop, but these two ladies were pacing me around the whole store like I was a thief. I could be browsing the greeting cards or smelling the candles and it seemed they both tag teamed to watch me like a hawk. When we finally went to get rung up, the short haired lady with the face shield was just straight awkward. She never said hello, if so found everything ok or any chitchat until I broke the ice at the end of my checkout. Of course, she opened up then, but I definitely didn't appreciate the treatment as a patron. I honestly wouldn't have purchased anything if it wasn't for the Purple Rain Prince & The Revolution 500-piece jigsaw puzzle - the most perfect birthday gift for my favorite Prince-fanatic friend. Sometimes as a white male, my husband honestly isn't too keen on seeing injustices I see. Once we left the store, I expressed how I felt, he said he noticed the two ladies tracked me and it was blatant. He just hoped to believe it wasn't true. To be frank, it is really sad if my oblivious husband notices something like this. Anyway, I don't often post negative reviews, but this experience truly warranted it as it left a sour taste in my mouth. If either of you ladies who worked Saturday 2/28 afternoon read this, please remember EACH HUMAN BEING who walks through your door is an EQUAL HUMAN BEING AND A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER. Please treat each person with equal dignity and respect you would like to be treated. What you did was simply unkind. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK.

Unfortunately this location has been a problem for quite a while. Every time I come here there's always something with the employees that so unprofessional. I get it, it's a comic book store in a mall, but the people that they have working here believe this is their personal hangout.. As for comic selection, this is basically a Marvel and DC shop. You'll have a tough time finding anything independent. - Completely inappropriate music playing sometimes. - When there's more than one person working they basically are loud and goofing off. - No active help from employees. You have to walk up to the counter and get a passive aggressive response. This isn't the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop so stop acting like it is. - Various activist and virtue signaling posters. This is a business, not a Jr. college library. Are the owners aware of this? - This is multiple times, not just one "bad day". Owners- I like comics because of escapism. There needs to be more oversight / training at this location.
