Mark Dolan responded promptly to my inquiry and gave me an estimate within a few days of my initial call. He was friendly and knowledgeable and, since his estimate was reasonable, we hired him for the job and were placed on his schedule within a week or two. His crew arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day, almost completing the project in one day. They returned the following morning to finish up before lunch. They removed the old fence and took care of the disposal. What they installed was a 5 foot semi-private fence with two gates, one a single entry, the other a double gate for vehicle passage. After completion, the crew cleaned up quite thoroughly. This fence is much better quality than the one that preceded it, a world of difference. We could tell the old fence had been built by a novice, but it became starkly evident after our new fence was finished. The hinges and gate latches are examples of the superior quality and finish of this fence. It has now been two months since the fence was installed, and we still couldn't be any more pleased! But the end result of my home is not what I expected. First, they convinced me to move the location of the house, they said it would save me a lot of money in excavation, so I trusted them and reluctantly agreed but that meant I lost the view I wanted from my back porch. That view was THE reason I bought that land to build on! But the excavation ended up being the same cost they originally quoted me... it didn't save me any money at all! There was no communication about that until after the excavation was done and I asked about it. When the house was done, it didn't pass inspection because they didn't use tempered glass above my bathtub and a few other silly little things that the codes people were being too picky about. But the builder should've known the codes for glass above a bathtub. Their solution was to send me a link to where I could buy a peel and stick film to put on my bathroom window. I told them I didn't think I should be responsible for paying for that, or trying to apply it myself! They ended up getting it and putting it on for me...BUT it bubbled and looks warped when I look out that window. It's my new home, it should have been fixed the right way but now I'm left to deal with that. Also, my concrete floors are awful, I pointed out a big spot by the front door that was worn down and really rough, my builder said not to worry about that because I wouldn't see it when they were done. Well, it's still there, exactly like it was when I pointed it out. They were supposed to clean the floors after drywall and seal them again. But over 6 months later, I'm STILL scraping drywall mud off my floors! They never sealed them again, but they left 2 huge full containers of seal (along with a lot of other trash) on my porch when they were done. My floors in my home are way worse than most garage floors, the expansion joints are wide open for dirt to fall in to and it doesn't look like the floors are sealed at all. I've seen many homes with concrete floors that are sealed (not stained, just sealed) and they are beautiful. That's what I was expecting, that's not what I got! I know this was just another "job" to them, but this is my home. It took literally EVERYTHING I had to build it, and I trusted the Barn Store to build it. I didn't want to write this kind of review, I was hoping to have a 5 star experience but sadly that is not the case.

Metal roof with gutters. Adding the metal bars and ceiling fan installation was barely more. It turned out way better than I imagined. The extra creativity they brought and the structural integrity really looks amazing. They made sure everything was properly done, above and beyond what code would require. Michael was who I mostly spoke to. He always returned my calls and was very professional. He was super honest every step of the way. One of the workers, Justo (I'm probably misspelling that), was a near constant perfection machine, going over every detail to ensure everything was done just right. And the cleanup afterwards was super tidy. Anyway, you can't go wrong using this company.

We hired this company because of a neighbors recommendation. It was a costly, horrible situation…read morethat we continue to have to remedy. It started with a wooden fence were the boards were apparently hard to find. They used nails that were too long and had to be sanded down. The screened in porch and deck expansion was horrific. They continued to ask for money up front until I had them call from where they needed the materials. If we paid them, they usual disappeared for days. After the initial agreement, Michael disappeared, avoided my calls and emails, and made excuses and straight up lied about things. His brother worked hard but eventually disappeared as well. When we had someone come in after them, we found out the quality of the materials as well as the craftsmanship was horrible, Brother blamed brother and the people they hired quickly left due to not being paid. What disappointed me most was that they use a company name that should come with trustworthy, honest people and work.
