I would not recommend them for building a home... I'm sure for a garage or a barn they would be…read morefine. I'm giving them 3 stars mainly because Kennedy was awesome! But the end result of my home is not what I expected. First, they convinced me to move the location of the house, they said it would save me a lot of money in excavation, so I trusted them and reluctantly agreed but that meant I lost the view I wanted from my back porch. That view was THE reason I bought that land to build on! But the excavation ended up being the same cost they originally quoted me... it didn't save me any money at all! There was no communication about that until after the excavation was done and I asked about it. When the house was done, it didn't pass inspection because they didn't use tempered glass above my bathtub and a few other silly little things that the codes people were being too picky about. But the builder should've known the codes for glass above a bathtub. Their solution was to send me a link to where I could buy a peel and stick film to put on my bathroom window. I told them I didn't think I should be responsible for paying for that, or trying to apply it myself! They ended up getting it and putting it on for me...BUT it bubbled and looks warped when I look out that window. It's my new home, it should have been fixed the right way but now I'm left to deal with that. Also, my concrete floors are awful, I pointed out a big spot by the front door that was worn down and really rough, my builder said not to worry about that because I wouldn't see it when they were done. Well, it's still there, exactly like it was when I pointed it out. They were supposed to clean the floors after drywall and seal them again. But over 6 months later, I'm STILL scraping drywall mud off my floors! They never sealed them again, but they left 2 huge full containers of seal (along with a lot of other trash) on my porch when they were done. My floors in my home are way worse than most garage floors, the expansion joints are wide open for dirt to fall in to and it doesn't look like the floors are sealed at all. I've seen many homes with concrete floors that are sealed (not stained, just sealed) and they are beautiful. That's what I was expecting, that's not what I got! I know this was just another "job" to them, but this is my home. It took literally EVERYTHING I had to build it, and I trusted the Barn Store to build it. I didn't want to write this kind of review, I was hoping to have a 5 star experience but sadly that is not the case.

That day I immediately went on Yelp's "Request A Quote" to get ahead of the rush of people looking for roof contractors. Four people got back to me, including Roberts Roof Repair. Jason Roberts was the only one who immediately booked an assessment for the following day. Jason came out, checked my roof, tarped and patched all the spots with missing shingles, took a tons of photos for my insurance co., and with his 30 years of roof experience told me, "you're definitely going to need an entire roof." Welp, he was right and when my insurance came out and assessed everything, they agreed. Sadly, my insurance company dragged their feet for about two weeks until finally sending me the money for the roof. Once I sent Jason the down payment for materials, they were delivered within four days and two days later I had an entire crew at my house. His team worked fast, they were able to tear off my old roof and put on the new roof with in about eight hours! Do NOT use this company. We received a written estimate through our real estate agent who referred…read morethem to us. We didn't want to pay top dollar but we didn't want the cheapest solution either. We wanted to make the carport roof right for our buyers. The estimate thoroughly detailed the work and products and it was a go. We met with Allstar the day before the work was to be done. They "didn't have enough product" to fulfill the estimate and Allstar suggested shingles instead. The day of the work...with NO discussion...they switched from shingles to tar paper that the owner had on hand at his home and charged us MORE than the estimate. The tar paper was left hanging over the roof edges. Very messy. The "new roof" didn't last through the first rain. We met with them. Note: The business owner is always late. When he finally showed up, he got on his phone like we were insignificant. He refused to make it right, said it was our fault because we "didn't want to spend a lot of money" and he wanted to charge us $1,000 more to fix it. As it stands, we spent $2,000 for what professional roofers call a temporary roof. They may have gotten out there without informing us because the spot that leaked doesn't leak anymore. This is the kind of company that gives roofers a bad name. Us, our real estate agent and others that he talks to will never refer this company again.
