I just moved to Tennessee and needed a fence build. Based on the reviews I had read, I contacted A1 fencing. Jeff came out for a consultation and estimate. He started on my fence a few days ago, he sent me progress pictures. Today, Friday the fence was completed.in 4 days. I could not be happier with the fence. read more

I'll admit we did not shop around for this job - fencing 2 sides of our back yard to create a containment for our new dog - but the price sounded reasonable for what I knew would be a challenging task. (Our soil is EXTREMELY rocky and I warned Mark ahead of time). Fast response to my initial call. Once we gave him the go-ahead his team was on the site with materials sooner than expected and the job was completed in a day. Very impressed with communication throughout the process and clean-up. read more

A1 Fence and Deck - Fences & Gates Near Me - Gallatin, Tennessee

Definitely recommend A1 Fence! I sent online requests for quotes to three companies, and Mark (the owner) was the first and only one to respond. He called within 24 hours. Our neighborhood has an HOA, and he was helpful with the waiting game for approval from the neighborhood. I had an estimate in hand within a few days even though we hadn't moved into the house/city yet. The install only took two days, and we think the fence is perfect! We got the cedar with pine posts with cap and trim and three gates. The gates are heavy duty with three hinges and sturdy hardware. The outcome is great with no hassle throughout the process. Mark was very helpful with the best layout as well. He patiently listened to my thoughts, and my expectations were exceeded. Next time we need something, we will used A1Fence again. read more

We needed a fence and pergola built in our backyard and had heard good things about A1. It was a good recommendation, Mark is very nice and listened to our needs and lined everything up very quickly. His guys worked very hard and were fast, efficient and very detailed. It was a seamless project and I would recommend them to anyone looking. Wish other trades did as good of a job as them. read more

The fence around our driveway and parking area was not the best quality but was in good shape when we purchased our home 11 years ago, but in the fall of 2019, it needed to be replaced. Mark Dolan responded promptly to my inquiry and gave me an estimate within a few days of my initial call. He was friendly and knowledgeable and, since his estimate was reasonable, we hired him for the job and were placed on his schedule within a week or two. His crew arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day, almost completing the project in one day. They returned the following morning to finish up before lunch. They removed the old fence and took care of the disposal. What they installed was a 5 foot semi-private fence with two gates, one a single entry, the other a double gate for vehicle passage. After completion, the crew cleaned up quite thoroughly. This fence is much better quality than the one that preceded it, a world of difference. We could tell the old fence had been built by a novice, but it became starkly evident after our new fence was finished. The hinges and gate latches are examples of the superior quality and finish of this fence. It has now been two months since the fence was installed, and we still couldn't be any more pleased! Thanks, Mark, for a job well done! read more

Mark was great. He was very responsive and most importantly the fence looks awesome!!

Mark and his crew were amazing! Mark communicated well, was prompt and friendly. The crew tore down and removed my rotting 8-foot fence, railroad ties & attached shrubbery & erected a brand-new 8-foot fence with poles & caps in 3 days flat. They worked so hard & were so diligent - even through thunderstorms. They also made great recommendations regarding support of the structure. The result is a beautiful, high quality fence that will keep my dogs in my yard. read more

Mark Dolan has the best crew in Nashville. They were fast, courteous, professional and did an outstanding job. Also, I've never seen people clean up after their selves this way. Five days to do an entire deck and fence. My husband and I could not be more happy! read more

We built a new construction home and wanted a 6' privacy fence. Contacted three fence companies and selected Mark with A 1 fence for the job. He was priced fair and was very knowledgeable. He walked the property with me two times in person to confirm location and any request I had. The installation crew was very friendly and professional as well. Mark went above and beyond before, during and after installation. We are very happy with the product and have already recommended A 1 fence to others. read more

Called Mark to do our new home after he did privacy fence at last home. Stood by his word to have fence up for our dogs safe move. Great company to work with. Highly recommend. read more

A-1 has built 2 privacy fences and 1 deck for me at 2 different properties. I have recommended him to many many friends and I couldn't be happier with his work. He rebuilt our deck at our new house when the original one, poorly built by the builder was falling apart and dangerous. He not only completely rebuilt it, but added stairs, built it according to building codes and reinforced it more than it needed to be. He was professional and the prices were highly competitive. He is hands down, the BEST fence and deck contractor in Nashville! read more

Mark gave me a price substantially lower than the other quotes I got. His team was very professional and were pros themselves. I am not easy to please when concerning my home and my complicated fence turned out perfect. And of the nicest quality, no skimping on posts. Very nice. Oh! I don't need to forget that I had a neighbor who was trying to cause legal difficulties. He demanded that we stay out of every inch of his property. I had wanted to put it on the property line, mainly because it was on a rise and I could block annoying neighbor out. He promised to put gnomes all over it. And ugly things. Lol. He said the police would be called and we would not be able to build it. BTW, he had at first mention of a fence, told me where I needed to put it, giving him access to about an extra 10-15 ft of my home. I have 1/3 an acre. Mark wasn't worried about him and I got my fence built. Mean neighbors suck. read more

Mark was easy to work with. He was punctual and his crew did a great job. I love my new aluminum fence and highly recommend A-1 Fence.

We had A1 Fence & Deck build a new addition to our existing deck around our new above ground pool. WOW they did a great job and were very easy to work with through the whole process! They worked with the inspector to make sure everything met code and went above and beyond in meeting our expectations. The team worked long days to get the job done quickly and were very friendly and professional. We also had Mark build a new fence around our back yard and that turned out better than we imagined too!
