I called to ask about availability for a same day 90 minute massage since I saw a deal on Groupon. There was a man who answered the phone was not welcoming or professional. He sounded irritated and hugged and puffed while answering my questions. He shouldn't be answering the phones for this establishment. When i asked about availability he asked someone in the background if there was availability and then said, "well she said you do it early enough, she can take you today." The establishment closes at 8pm, it was 2pm at that time. The proper response would have been telling me they had other clients booked or provided me with times available. In closing he said, with another huff and puff, "well are you gonna buy the groupon or not?" I'm an avid massage customer and this establishment will not be getting my business. read more

Well let me tell you about my experience with this place. Purchased it thru Groupon (looking for a haircut) and decided I would get this place a try. (bad mistake). I called and made an appointment for the service of haircut, deep conditioning treatment and blow dry. The appointment was scheduled on 29 Mar at 1230 and on the morning of 29 Mar at 1000ish received a call telling me that would have to canx appt because the person who was cutting my hair was not coming into work, that she had just had hand surgery and was not able to work. Well my reply was "and she just discovered this morning that she was not able to work". I was not a happy camper cause really she didn't know this until that morning, I don't think so. Well anyway I rescheduled the appt for today, 8 April, 1230. (Now let me say that I had spoke with live people throughout.) Get to the appt and lady there started putting on face mask and asked it i had one and I replied "no I do not wear them" and she said "well do you mind if we give you one" and my reply was "no I do not wear them". she proceeded to tell me I could not be serviced. Told her that NO WHERE ON GROUPON, THEIR WEB SITE (CARDINAL DAY SPA) AND YOUR OWN PEOPLE WAS IT EVER MENTIONED THAT WEARING A MASK WAS A REQUIREMENT. Needless to say I was very upset again. I do not shop, visit anywhere a mask is required so therefore I would never had gone there had I been told in advance. I have requested a full refund from Groupon and will never visit nor recommend this merchant to anyone. They have no consideration for their clients and that is very obvious to me and hopefully it will be to you. BEWARE!!!!!!!They don't even deserve this one star but had no choice. read more

Booked a massage with them through groupon. They then called me not even 24 hours before the appointment and told me that I wasn't allowed to use my groupon. First time customer, wouldn't give me a discount or introductory and then told me I couldn't use my groupon. Terrible customer service. Her and the manager were super rude. I would never go to this place or give them my money. I called groupon and told them what happened and they apologized and gave me a refund. We will spend our money somewhere that we aren't treated like dirt. read more

I got the "balayage" style here and I was not the happiest. I understand that the materials are organic, but I was not happy with the service given the price tag. The lady who did my hair was defending reflexology and ancient Chinese medicine, which have both been disproven. In addition to this, she kept saying that her clients were doctors (congratulations?) and tried to push massages and nail treatments onto me. I appreciate the effort, but I do not recommend this place. Take your money elsewhere. read more

I wanted to love this place. I wanted to finally find my massage/facial place. From the moment I walked in the door, the guy "owner" was a rude jerk. Apparently, it's a problem to show up early for your appointment even if you have to fill out paperwork. I was only 15 minutes early. The guy asked me where I was coming from; I told him I live about an hour away. He wanted to know why I would ever drive so far for services and why I would purchase a Groupon for a place so far away from me (he constantly talked to me like I was stupid). I explained that I come to Fredericksburg for day trips often and even worked in Fredericksburg at one point. My massage therapist was about 10 minutes late getting to the spa which cut my time down (yes you read that right). The massage was ok. She didnt touch my hands or feet. I told her in the beginning that I was a massage therapist as well, we literally stand all day and use our hands so I was shocked when she said the massage was done and I was left with all of my knots and achy limbs. After my facial, my face felt rough. I just wanted to go home and wash it. I don't think she removed all the exfoliant. She left the room more than she was in there. She walked out so many times during my facial, at one point I asked if it was a joke. When I was checking out (I had a Groupon but purchased $160 in upgrades) the guy was explaining my receipt and said "the top line is the price of the massage, the second line is what Groupon pays me or should I say how much I lost because you have a Groupon". He constantly interrupted any conversation I had with any of the other ladies. He talked to his employees like they were dogs. I'm a massage therapist and spa owner (in a different state, so no competition at all) as well and was disgusted how horrible I was treated. I usually don't tell spas that I'm in the same business because I don't like to talk business when I'm trying to relax but I did tell these guys in hopes that they would start acting professional and no such luck. read more
