Its a bit hit and miss with the drivers, some are super friendly and love a natter, others are less cheery, and you can't really blame them for that at 2am dealing with the tenth trip of drunks! I work nights for a supermarket, as part of the food delivery chain. I rely on taxi service to get me to work, to allow me to help food orders be delivered, including to vulnerable people. No decency to contact me to let me know taxi won't be on time. Yesterday evening was last straw, again no contact to advise taxi will not be on time, when I called to track, phone picked up and put straight back down. Stressful enough to be putting mine and my family's health at risk by still working during this pandemic, never mind not having my work transport show up. Even when they have shown up, most of the time the taxi driver just moans about how they don't see money from my fare for 2 weeks as I have paid contact-less by pre booking using the app. And to top it all, they still have my money from pre booking a taxi that never showed, as they take a larger than fare booking fee in advance, and take over a week to refund back to my card. Never again.

Will definitely NEVER use again…read more after booking two weeks in advance for a wedding in which we required a taxi to ferry the groomsmen from the hotel to the venue, dragon taxis severely let us down. After waiting half an hour we called up to enquire where the car was, to be told it was four minutes away. However, the car didn't turn up! luckily for us, some wedding guests came together to help get them to the venue in time. Fast forward to the end of the night where once again dragon taxis were booked in advance to pick up guests... and lo behold... we were abandoned AGAIN! after an hour of standing around in the pouring rain in our wedding gear in a pitch black car park - dragon taxis claimed that even though we had booked two weeks in advance, our booking didn't take precedence over the many bookings that had come in that night for the rugby. they claimed they had "misquoted" and that we would have to prepay as it was so late at night (1am by this point) we couldn't believe the sheer audacity! The one shining light in this experience had to be Jackson Cars who after hearing about our situation, got a car out to us within 15mins to save us from the freezing cold and rain. yesterday dragon taxis lost many customers.

They quote £22 for Cardiff International Airport, which is very competitive. Drivers are always very friendly, and are able to hold a conversation without it going awkward! Just been opened by Cardiff Bus customer relations that timetables only matter at timings points…read more All other timetables should be considered to be for entertainment only. Cardiff Bus has no interest in accurate timetabling for customer, and is only interested in average times regardless of how that affects driver behaviour in skipping stops - the stats look good. I was informed that their advice (though not written anywhere) is to expect it 5 minutes earlier. If only their buses all had a 5 minute waiting time between them. On time is on time. Late is late. Early is early. To fob me off with an excuse of it's not a timing point' indicates the level to which the customer is reduced to less important than statistics. It shows where their priorities lie. Getting really tired ofsuch poor service across the board with nothing being done due to some piss-poor excuse. This won't change anything either, but at least you know now not to rely on them and give yourself a wide margin for their error. Cardiff should be embarrassed by the association.
