A company I used to work for used Premiere Cars as their recommended service and since then I have always used them too. From the time you ring them up they are friendly. They have always arrived when they say they would and always turn up. I've never experienced them going longer routes to up the fee and even if we've just asked them to deliver something across town they always give a good service. read more

Ordered a taxi weeks ago on line. Came out of venue last night. Premier taxi there but said not for us. Drove off empty leaving 2 nurses stranded in the pouring rain. No other taxi came. Shame on you. Obviously we were not a big enough fare. Will be reporting to the Council. read more

Worst service I have yet to receive from a taxi company. Was told the car would arrive in 15 minutes, yet at 45 min there was still no sign. After a number of calls and promises that the car was around the corner we still had to wait further 15 minutes, We specified a number of times that we had a 7 month baby who needed to get home to sleep and when the driver eventually arrived another 15 min later I'd be surprised if he even had a licence his driving was so poor, I'll never even think of using this service again. read more

I have noticed,and Cardiff Council will confirm,that Premier Cars charge substantially more than other firms in the area. Their service is no better than their rivals so why choose them? I always use Premier when I need a cab. They are so safe and reliable. I love the fact that when I call from home they already have my details, that they provide ringback on the phone (which basically means that they phone you back on your landline when the cab arrives), and as katie4_16 says above, if you book via your mobile phone they always text you with the details of your cab before it arrives, a must for any lady travelling on her own. If ever I'm arriving back at Cardiff Central I ring them just before the train arrives at the station, and they are always waiting at the back of the station for me. They have never let me down. Booked taxi from Grangetown to the University Hospital and was taken on a long, drawn out route. The cost of the fair was £3 more than the cost of their competitor Dragon Taxis used on the return journey. I complained to Premier as in this day and age, with GPS Systems showing the shortest route, there is no excuse. It took more than one email to get a response and then they sent a £3 refund. I did explain that it wasn't a refund I was after but an explanation as to how this overcharging is allowed to happen and what steps they will take to prevent this from happening to others in the future. I have not had the courtesy of a reply, despite reminding them. After this experience, I will not be using this company in the future, or recommending them. Good manners don't cost anything. It's all well and good for the drivers to turn up smiling but if the people running the company have no time to deal with their complaints effectively, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I used to use Premier as they are based near my house in Fairwater - Cardiff but they put their prices up and are now about £1 more expensive on a journey into the city centre than Dragon Taxis who I now use. Premier also charged me 34p against my mobile phone bill for them texting me when the car arrived which was a shock as I didn't know it was going to happen, Dragon provide the same text service for free. read more

WHAT A RIP OFF ! I have noticed that Premier cars charge at least £1 to £2 extra per journey compared to Capital & Dragon, apparently they are on a higher Tariff and their meters tick over quicker compared to the other companies. I think Premier should clarify this to their customers but neither they or their drivers do. Sometimes it can take up to 20-30 minutes for taxi to arrive and staff at call centre are rude most of the times. read more

In March we booked a luxury car to take four relatives to a family party. Two were to be collected in Dinas Powis and two more in Bristol. They were to be taken to a hotel near Stevenage for a family party on 20 April 2013. They are all over 80 and one is very frail. The cab that turned up was a four seater family runabout, which was a real squash for the passengers. The driver started up the M4 and then for no reason turned off at Swindon and continued to take country roads to the destination for the next two hours or so. The party arrived an hour late for the party, almost missing the meal altogether. They were collected at 8.30 am in Dinas Powis and did not arrive at the hotel until 2.00 pm. They were all very stressed and squashed, which rather spoiled their enjoyment of the day. The driver had the audacity to ask for more money than originally agreed. My husband paid him as he really didn't have the time to argue as he was hosting his mother's 90th birthday party. Luckily the party was taken back the next day by Stevenage Cars, an excellent company who charged less and provided a luxury Mercedes. My husband called Premier Taxis the next day and on a following time to complain and ask for an explanation. We were not offered any refund or apology. All in all a very poor service, I would not recommend this company to take anywhere but Tescos and back!. read more
