Visited on a Saturday right before sunset - we were able to walk in and wait for a table around 20 minutes. During that time we were treated to a glass of champagne and took pictures outside of the winery to capture the sunset. The staff was accommodating with getting us a nice table on the enclosed patio area. We opted to do the $20 tasting (5 different wines) with some appetizers. We truly enjoyed the bruschetta. The tasting service was a little slower but the winery was very busy so we had a great time just enjoying each others company. As we were celebrating bachelorette we were actually anonymously treated for our bill by a guest which was a beautiful surprise. I would definitely visit again! There is a free parking lot.

After visiting the Columbine Memorial, we decided to go to this restaurant based on local recommendation. The decor was cozy with lots of wood and stacks of their own wine for sale. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Our meals and drinks were good. If I'm ever in the area, I will definitely stop by again!

A winery in the middle of metro Denver?! Yes please. I was taken here for my birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. So many options to choose from. The wine flight is worth trying. A smattering of wine choices, but the best was their take on Prosecco. A COsecco if you will :). It was not super sweet at all, as most Prosecco's are. The snacks were good- we selected olives and the Gorgonzola fondue dip- do it! The cheese and house made chips- delectable! The location offers the best views of the foothills- which was gorgeous with the leaves changing in the forefront. Service was good. They do take reservations, so would recommend reservations as it was very packed for a Tuesday at 4pm. What a fun place to have in the middle of town- made me feel like I was back in Napa for a moment.

Great local winery/tasting room with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. Carboy has vineyards in Palisade as well as Washington state in Horse Heaven Hills. Reservations are required for a tasting of 5 select bottled wines for $20. Carboy has a wide selection of wines for every palate - from wines on tap to the bottle. Our tasting started with their new version of a Prosecco called a COsecco. It was dry like a brut and not as sweet as a traditional Prosecco, which I liked. We ended with a heavy Tempranillo only available for club members. It was peppery and earthy and a good way to end a flight. Carboy has many small bites and charcuterie offerings. Happy hour runs from 3-6pm daily. They have amazing specials with board and bottle specials starting at $35 for a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine. You can't go wrong!

Came here with a girlfriend for a ladies night and this was one of my best experiences in Denver so far! The attached winery and Italian restaurant is perfect, we arrived on a Friday night around 8 PM and we're told there would be an hour wait, so this was a perfect opportunity for us to start with some drinks at the winery. We were lucky to find a table, and started with the wine-a-Rita's which were literally my favorite wine margaritas ever. We also tried some appetizers, the deviled egg, the meatball, and the bruschetta bread. All of them, words and vine. Very small plates and perfect for sharing with a drink pairing before the large meal to come. Once we were seated at the restaurant, the menu options were so vast I had a hard time choosing what to get. At the recommendation of our server, I decided to try the fried oysters and I'm so glad I did. They were so fresh and delicious, with the seasoning and cheese on top just the way I like it. For a main course, I have the lobster gnocchi, which was amazing, so creamy, generous with the lobster and so well seasoned. Honestly, the best Italian food I've had in Denver so far. I can't wait to come back.

White wine flight

You'll find this gem off of Santa Fe near 470. This place is connected to an amazing Italian restaurant "Angelo's Taverna". If you're looking for a local winery, this is the place. With multiple Wines to try from they also offer wine flights which I decided to try. I'm not a white wine gal so getting this type of flight was out of the ordinary for me but It was delightful. Most of the wines I was able to try were just overall balanced with the acidity and dryness. Would recommend any of the flights. We were able to get patio seating which was amazing since it's been such a cold winter. I love that this place can host huge parties and other events. The best part is the wine club. You're able to get special discounts, free wine, exclusive access to new wines and member only events. My only thing for myself was how attentive the servers actually were which was very little. Our table kept getting overlooked and we had to wave or just straight up go find someone to help us get wine or answer our questions. That part was a downer on the experience.

This elevated tasting featured five distinctive carboy wines (only $20/person).

The wine is absolutely terrible. I hate to say that but it's just awful. There are a lot of other wineries that are much better.

August 26th was their last day to operate at the location of 8130 S University, Unit 110; they are moving to a new location: 311 E County Line, #20; this is the old driver's license place. It's my understanding that they will resume their normal operation at the new place in mid-September.*** As an avid wine drinker, I had to fathom to understand why it had taken this long to come to this winery even though they opened their doors almost 15 years ago. I had passed this quiet shopping center numerous times in the past and although the actual store is not necessarily super visible from the street, the sign (winery) at the entry to the shopping center had caught the kitty corner of my eye every time I drove on University. Whatever the excuse I can thing of, I finally made it here as if to scratch one item off of my bucket list. I bought a deal from Groupon (two-hour wine tasting with award-winning wines for two with one take-home bottle deal) at the price of $41.60) months ago. I simply couldn't ignore such a great deal. Without further ado, let me rate my yesterday's tasting experience. Selection of wines: First off, this place carries world sourced/Colorado made wines. They, of course, have white, red and dessert ones. Grape types are Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel, Cab Sauvignon, Tempranillos, Malbec, Carmenere, Chianti, Barolo, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Pinotage, Barbera for reds and Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Liebfraumilch, Viognier for whites (I'm pretty sure I have left off a few.) This is quite extensive. Because of this, you'll be guaranteed to find something that will resonate with your likings/palate. Quality of wines: I had no expectations before I had arrived. All I was looking for was a quality time with my friend over a glass of wine. But once I started a flight of my choices, I had a hard time picking which one was better between the first and the second one or the third one and the fourth (and so on) and what I liked the most because they all tasted amazing. I know some say that Colorado made wines are not at par with wines from other states/regions but if you still think that Colorado's wine making level is still pretty low, you should definitely check this place out. Host: Melissa (?) was simply amazing. She was hospitable and attentive to our needs. She tirelessly walked around the floor with several bottles of wines in her arms/hands and kept pouring for us and other guests. She was also excellent at making great suggestions. And whenever she mentioned her favorites and we tried them out, we ended up liking them. Like I mentioned earlier in this review, the place was in the transition of moving. Melissa asked us to pardon any/all mess that we might notice. She also said that certain things had already been boxed up for the move so the only thing she could offer for us to munch were black sesame crackers (but this place does have charcuterie board.) This was totally understandable. Website: Check it out for sure. They offer wine club membership (gold club is $50, silver club is $45 and bronze club is 35); they let you make your own wine (I wonder how this is done; I'm curious); they let you make your custom wine labels (you can commemorate a special occasion such as birthday, wedding anniversary etc.); they let you rent the winery for seminars, events etc. Regular wine tastings: $15 per person for 6 tastes or $25 per person for 1 hour tasting My friend and I left the place (after two hours of tasting) being impressed. I cannot wait until they reopen at their new location. I'm pretty sure it'll be a more superior experience as they'll have everything: the ambience, the food but most of all, the award-winning wines. ***I decided on Chilean Cab-Malbec-Carmenere as my take-home bottle after the tasting***

It features tender, butter-poached jumbo shrimp with a subtle kick from the Calabrian chili, balanced by artichoke and a bright Chablis spritz, all served with toasted focaccia. While it's meant for sharing, I had it as my entrée and it was satisfying and packed with flavor. I paired it with the prickly pear margarita with tequila, which was as beautiful as it was delicious. It's a vibrant pink, lightly sweet, slightly tart, and incredibly refreshing drink. Definitely a standout cocktail! My server was friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience even better. Another fantastic visit all around. ----- Stopped by Postino Highland Park solo one evening and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was easy, and the atmosphere was ideal for an evening out with its dim lighting, candlelit tables, and a cozy, relaxed vibe. Service was fast and friendly, even dining alone, which I appreciated. I ordered the smoked salmon board and a glass of Prosecco. The board included both cold and hot smoked salmon, whipped feta, cucumber, pickled onions, cornichons, crispy capers, a baby Caesar salad, and crostini. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The baby Caesar was beautifully balanced, and the whipped feta was excellent. While the hot smoked salmon wasn't quite my preference (I would've personally enjoyed the board more with just the cold smoked salmon), that's more of a personal taste than a flaw in execution. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual solo dinner or a low-key night out. I'd come back, especially when I'm in the mood for cozy vibes and a relaxed evening. Still a solid choice for good food, good vibes, and a drink after a long day.

The Lazy Greyhound

During my June, 2024 vacation to Colorado, my friend, Felixx, invited Alyssa and me to meet up with…read morehim for after dinner drinks at the Lazy Greyhound on Saturday, the 22nd. Wow, I didn't expect to be blown away by a bar! The Lazy Greyhound is not your typical watering hole - the establishment is a chic speakeasy-style cocktail lounge inspired by the classic British gentlemen's clubs of the 18th and 19th centuries. Nestled within downtown Littleton on Main Street, the location is a hidden gem amidst numerous breweries. After easily finding free street parking nearby, we arrived shortly before 8:30 PM. Entry was like stepping into a different world through an unassuming exterior - inside, the dimly lit room's timeless elegance with Chesterfield leather sofas was softly illuminated by the three stained glass pieces above the bar, one of which depicts the venue's namesake. The tasteful décor adds a touch of class and sophistication to the intimate ambiance and handsome atmosphere. After we were granted to enter past the red velvet rope at the front door, we grabbed a seat at one of the Chesterfields. The comfortable lounge seating made for a cozy spot for relaxed socializing and the music volume was perfectly pleasant for personal conversations. The setting was casual, but refined, with vintage touches. My kind of place, for sure. To complement the stylish environment, The Lazy Greyhound offers an extensive menu featuring a unique blend of timeless classic cocktails, "OLD DOGS/TRIED & TRUE CLASSICS," and creatively crafted modern drinks, "NEW TRICKS/SEASONAL CREATIONS," as well as beer, wine and "SMALL BITES/SHAREABLE SNACKS." Remarkable service also adds to the delightful experience. Our server, Zach/Zack/Zac (sp?), was warm, friendly and genuinely engaging - he took the time to guide us through the impressive menu and was eager to offer beverage suggestions based on our preferences. I was looking for something with an egg white foamy topping, so he suggested the AMARETTO SOUR, IMPROVED ($15) which was velvety and the signature almond sweetness was not overpowering. Alyssa went with the ALWAYS ON CALL ($15), a deliciously creamy coffee-forward mixed drink. We also ordered the PINK SQUIRREL which Zach/Zack/Zac comped for us due to the long wait. The retro, indulgent mixed drink tickled us pink with its hue and creamy, sweet and nutty flavour. Serving the PINK SQUIRREL on the house to us reflected The Lazy Greyhound's commitment to customer care and satisfaction. Felixx ordered the yummy MEAT & CHEESE BOARD which was served with thoughtful presentation. True story: I super suck with electronics and am practically blind without my eyeglasses, so I accidentally undertipped Zach/Zack/Zac while using the handheld payment system. When I saw the receipt back at Alyssa's house, I was horrified to see that I hadn't tipped him what he deserved. I returned to The Lazy Greyhound on the 24th just before 11 PM. Even though they were closed and the doors were locked, I knocked until someone answered so I could personally give cash to Zach/Zack/Zac to make up for my mistake. He was very gracious and thankful. The Lazy Greyhound immediately earned its spot as a favourite bar of mine through their intimate, speakeasy-style atmosphere combined with their innovative concoctions and welcoming service. They stand out as a premier destination for a high-quality, relaxing and memorable evening.

Each season they rotate their specials and their spring drinks are in! I actually prefer their last couple specials compared to this time around but they're still good! We ordered the equinox, master of the house and old fashioned. The old fashioned is pretty boozy but an easy one to drink, it's your basic old fashion but tasty Master of the House sounded interesting, but I guess I'm not really a fan of spicy drinks (even though I love spicy foods). I ended finishing it but my friends enjoyed it! The equinox is a light and refreshing drink, which could benefit from a little more lemon (or the lemon juice was on the lighter side that day). Overall it's a spot we frequent when visiting our best friends in Littleton. We love the quaint and Victorian atmosphere and he staff has always treated us well.

Plenty of options for everyone!…read more Street parking so definitely read the signs. I went here for Denver Restaurant week with my family so we did make a reservation ahead of time. The dress code I say would be casual since we went for Denver restaurant week. There was a prefix menu so we did not get to choose off the full menu. I chose the steak with broccolini and mashed potatoes. My dessert was crème brûlée and my appetizer was a soup. The servers were very friendly and were able to seat us immediately. Because it was Restaurant week we did not need that much time to look over the menu. The food was than brought out course by course starting with the appetizers. I do not like salad so I chose the soup of the day. It happened to be a tortilla soup. I decided to give that to my dad who really enjoyed it. He said the flavors were really good. Next way, the entrées and I liked my steak! It was seasoned really well, the potatoes were great and the broccoli was good. To be honest, nothing really stood out about it. It was just a normal steak and potato meal in my opinion. When for dessert was the crème brûlée! I absolutely love crème brûlée and this one lived up to its expectations. To be honest, this was the best part of the meal. For this restaurant, it was $45 for these three courses. I definitely did not get my moneys worth as I would've not ordered a few things but overall it was nice to get to try everything.

Despite having a reservation, the restaurant was clearly unprepared to seat us, and once we finally made it to a table, we waited far too long before anyone even acknowledged us. The limited Valentine's Day menu was already missing multiple items, and the few interactions we had with staff were mostly to inform us--well after ordering--that they were out of what we'd selected. The servers were largely absent throughout the meal, leaving us feeling ignored on a night that should have felt special. To their credit, the food itself was good, and the restaurant ambiance was nice, but nowhere near worth the premium price tag given the disorganized service and overall lack of attention. When you're paying top-tier prices, the experience should at least meet the basic expectations of hospitality and preparedness. We won't be returning, and we'll be steering friends and neighbors elsewhere so they don't end up with the same disappointing experience.
