I was in panic mode after I placed an online order for Mother's Day via Teleflora (not sure which local florist they ended up using for my order), and they canceled on me the morning that they were supposed to be delivered! I was so upset, and began immediately calling local florists near the Erie, CO area to place a bouquet delivery directly via a local florist. After calling a few florists near Erie (Lafayette, Broomfield, Frederick) no one answered their phone. I thought, understandable, it was 3 days before Mother's Day and florists were probably swamped. I called Carbon Valley and was immediately greeted so warmly and brightly on the phone! I told her my situation and I understood if they were too busy to help. She said it was not a problem and that in fact, they had a delivery going to Erie that day and could try to get it out same-day. I was shocked at the amazing customer service I received. I told her my budget, and the general kind of bouquet I was looking for which was bright, colorful, and unique. I trusted the florist to do a good job and the final bouquet was beautiful. She was so friendly and helpful the first time I came in to get an arrangement for a friend's memorial service even though she was completely swamped with orders for another large service. My wife and I ordered a holiday arrangement for a family member in bereavement. Due to cold, but according to the National Weather Service NOT snow, deliveries were cancelled for the day we had requested. We were not made aware of this "policy", as there is none, so we felt letting the proprietor know our unhappiness was in order. Maybe something could get resolved. Our compliant to the business was when you offer a delivery date and you pay for that service, you expect it to be honored. There was no mention that deliveries could be delayed due to the weather. We asked to be kept posted. What happened instead was simply "Order Cancelled." No explanation was given; just that it was cancelled and refunded. We were NOT wanting the order to be cancelled. We very much WANTED the order and were very unhappy that that it could not be delivered on the day we had paid for. They had the best product at the best price and very close to the person for whom this arrangement was intended. Since weather had become an issue with this transaction, I assured the proprietor that as native Coloradans we were aware of what the weather is like in December. In all the years we lived and worked in Colorado, we never, ever heard of a business shut down because of bad weather. I had seen almost 80,000 people go out to see the Broncos in blizzard conditions. But I took the possibility of tough roads when I chose this shop as opposed to a competitor because it was close. That is what bothered me. I understand driving can be tricky but it should state somewhere, ANYWHERE, that deliveries are contingent upon weather conditions. I wanted a positive resolution, not a story about not exposing your people to bad roads. Get a pickup truck like the rest of us. I left her a voice message that what I wanted was perhaps a DELIVERY CHARGE REFUND but not for the entire product. At no time did we state that we wanted a refund of our money and/or the delivery cancelled. I did not want to pay to have to find somebody else for this. I wanted the situation made right. She suggested I just go to a competitor. Nice. That is what I did. My arrangement was delivered by a competitor in Denver, on the same bad roads, and I received a personal guarantee when I ordered it from that shop that it would get there. Pick up your flowers in person here, folks. Unless it's in July and even then maybe it will be too hot. read more

I've now called in 2 deliveries from Carbon Valley. The folks over there are always so helpful and patient (as I have never called in to order a specific bouquet...instead I trip over the names of flowers until they have something perfect arranged for me). They deliver these flowers over to nearby Fort Lupton for me - both times these folks have made a few adjustments to deliver flowers a tad earlier than they originally planned...something I appreciate very much. The flowers are also great quality which is important...gentlemen - you know how expensive flowers can be...$50 here gets you a great arrangement, personalized card, delivery, taxes, and brownie points galore! I enjoy these nice folks over here at Carbon Valley and would highly recommend them to anyone nearby considering ordering flowers for that special someone. read more

I recently needed a farewell bouquet for an event - frankly, the need was very short-fused too - and Christianne took care of me. It was my first experience at Carbon Valley Florists that brought me back there. The organization that I work for ordered some table settings for a banquet. My task was to purchase the flowers.
