What a terrible experience! I called on Tuesday to have flowers delivered on Wednesday to a coworker who had surgery. I get a call on Friday morning from a person who had no idea who I was (wrong name used when she called) and made excuses for why the flowers were not delivered. Are you kidding me!! Now, my employee didn't get the flowers after their surgery, and she was upset at me for being rightfully upset at the situation. Unreal! I get if they could not get the flowers out that day, but to not call me until 2 days later is unacceptable! She claimed to be the owner. read more

A Florae is the best!! And, they're not just for weddings! I contacted Rachel about a week ago with an idea for a Thanksgiving arrangement - wanting a piece that would enliven the top of my upright piano (and not take up precious counter space). She was totally game to create something beautiful for the holiday, and she totally delivered. I mean...she also delivered to my house and made sure it worked in the space. Rachel and her team did our wedding this past summer on July 30, 2016 at Hudson Gardens. We have had many compliments on our arrangements, including our succulent hair combs and candle and glass center pieces. From the beginning, Rachel was artistically engaged. In our first meeting she started drawing pictures of what might fit my preferences. I wanted mint succulents and purple calla lilies within a certain price range. She was great at being honest with me and informing me that calla lilies are expensive. We came up with a simple solution. The only thing I regret is not spending more money on her service. If the pictures are any indication, Rachel is talented at mixing floral and greenery that are ethereal, tradition, classy, and organized. It is easy to make flower arrangements look disorganized with too many different elements. I believe Rachel uses design theory and knowledge to create her plan. I love that she is talented in this way and hired her for this reason. I am not the floral designer, after all. On the day of our wedding, the flower delivery was a bit late due to traffic and other deliveries and the wedding party was 10 minutes late. The two mixed together ended up rushing our photos. My only piece of advice is to ensure you have an extra 30 minutes built-in to your timeline to get stuff in place, including bouquets, and not have to worry about traffic,etc. We got married at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, CO. This may not be an issue for many more rural weddings. read more

She made the fall theme so elegant, artistic and truly beautiful. And Rachel is an absolute joy to work with. We hired A Florae for our October, 2015 wedding. Seeing reviews on Yelp I met with her to discuss my small wedding vision and she was an absolute pleasure from the start. There was no minimum amount to buy for a wedding, nor did I ever feel pressured to get more arrangements than I desired. The meeting went very well and I felt she understood what I was looking for in wedding flowers. I was not disappointed! Rachel put together my bouquet, grooms coat flower, ceremony flowers, and centerpieces beautifully. What I see as a great sign of costumer service, I had messaged Rachel a couple weeks before the wedding to ask her if she would be able to put my grandmothers necklace on the bouquet. She said it would be no problem and on my wedding day she was there with the pins to get my necklace and quickly (and elegantly!) put it onto the bouquet. I cannot say enough good things about Rachel at A Florae. From our first meeting forward she made sure to get a clear idea of what my fiance and I had in mind for our florals, from a large arch piece down to the tiniest details of the boutonnieres. She made suggestions of flowers I didn't even know existed but ended up absolutely loving, and made sure to explain what her backup options were should any of the original flowers be out of season/unavailable. Her planning was very thorough and tailored perfectly to our style. She was early to set up the day of the wedding and made sure there was plenty of time to make adjustments if needed (we didn't need to though because everything was EXACTLY how I imagined it!). Rachel was easy to communicate with throughout the planning process - even when I was adding a boutonniere a week for a while - and her prices were incredibly reasonable. Rachel is simply the best. She exceeded all of my expectations and created arrangements I never could have dreamed of. The first time I met her I knew I would be writing a glowing review -- I had no idea what I really wanted and only had three photos saved to my phone, all of which had something I liked but was unable to put my finger on. Within minutes, Rachel was showing me photos and ideas on her phone that were spot on, and I instantly knew that I could leave everything in her hands and not think about flowers until my wedding day (9/24/16). Putting together the arrangement takes talent, but I think it really takes a gift to be able to listen to a client describe what he or she wants with words like "ish" and "kind of like ... not round, but not too wild," (I pretty much said nothing helpful), but then to turn around and create magic. The two times I cried that day were when I saw my husband for the first time, and when I saw my bouquet. I got countless compliments on the wedding party flowers as well as the absolutely stunning pieces she put together for the ceremony and reception. When I walked into dinner for the first time and saw what graced all the tables, I was blown away. I don't always take the time to review people and places, and when I do I rarely feel compelled to write as much as I have here, but I truly cannot imagine how the flowers at my wedding could have been any more perfect.
