It is lined with great food places and bars. On the backside of the street is Plaza de Castillo where there are even more food and bar options. This is food and drink wonderland. Some of the most artistic pintxos we saw in our 3 week adventure in the Basque territories came from Sarria. The place is ALWAYS jammed and has a huge reputation with the locals and visitors alike. One has to push their way to the bar to get service and it is fast and courteous once you make it there. You better know what you want because the guys behind the counter are just a blur of activity. We ate there for lunch and then my local family wanted to go there for a pre-dinner boost. Totally recommend this place.

Ninety minutes later, when we paid the check, i went inside to go to the bathroom and I was shocked to see that in the dining room how many people were eating in there: exactly zero!
