This place was an architectural dream but with a modern twist. Willing to modify a door for me- taking out panels and adding glass. I thought these type places only existing in tv. Had a super nice long conversation with owner as well- highly recommend. Ignore the 1 bad review (glad I did!)

Great spot for finding vintage/antique salvaged items for your historic home--doors, hardware, railings, posts, counters... you name it. Prices are a bit high, but these are things you can't find any ol' where. Nice people.

Knowledgable staff and a very wide range of salvaged goodies. Prices are reasonable. I've included some photos that show prices and how pieces are stored and labeled for ease of access. Mantels, doors, windows, stained glass, bath tubs, sinks toilets, shutters, some large wood furniture pieces and much more. Less lighting available then I'd expected. We had also hoped to buy exterior double doors for our Victorian but they did not have many. They took our number to call if they get any. I recommend visiting if you are looking to renovate your older home with the kind of craftsmanship that you just don't get anymore. I hope we can put these beautiful pieces of history to work in beautiful old homes in the area.

Holy shit!!! My husband and I bought a classic 70's style house. There are some much needed renovations that we're doing, and we've been trying hard keep to the style of the house. Thank goodness for the internet, as we've been able to find a plethora of reclamation stores that have salvaged details from old houses and churches. Originally, we weren't going to visit Caravati's as it's all the way down in Richmond, however, we were surprisingly free on a Saturday (somehow all social engagements were canceled! It's a MIRACLE), so we took the opportunity to hop into the car and make the 3 hour drive down. Caravati's is a GINORMOUS two story warehouse that has...well...everything! Lighting, doors, frames, scroll-work, stained glass, windows, fixtures...if you can think of it, they probably have it! Although it's incredibly overwhelming at first, they have categorized items pretty neatly. It's just digging through the aisles and aisles of window frames to find the one with the exact type of glass that can be frustrating, but oh what a fun frustration it is! We found old claw-foot tubs - which I have determined, architectural period be damned, I am going to own one! There were stained glass pieces that made my heart sing! And stoves from the 1940's that made me all a quiver (it's not like I cook anyways! HAHA!)! Definitely amazing, and we're so coming back. With a Uhaul truck.

Huge disappointment! Nothing like the old location; hardly any inventory. Not worth the drive. You can never go back.

They've been here a year already but it was the following serendipity that got me in the door: Earlier today I was wishing I had something on wheels to transport all our essential paraphernalia to / from the distant parking lot at Soak City (lugging towels and sun gear for seven ppl on my back is exhausting). When I drove by remix market this time, I saw just the thing out front - a lightweight collapsable white wire cart. Love at 1st sight! And for only $7? Hell yeah! Naturally, I found a few more items I never knew I needed, but I only had a $20 bill which was my budget ... for now. Friendly staff and good selection of reasonably priced, one-of-a-kind finds has me sure to return soon.

I found a few teapots, but i suggest the lids be taped. The prices are reasonable and I purchased a small blue striped pull out loveseat which is perfect for our den! I've always been welcomed with a cheery greeting and good customer service. One highlight is that they have a row of measuring tapes lined up when you walk in to measure your potential finds! Great thinking! Today I was fortunate enough to find Maria's apple cider donuts food truck out front and had to try them! And of course the hot cider to go with them!!
