Lively place in Canary Wharf offering a wide variety of dishes from pizza to healthy bowls. I ordered the Pan Roasted Cod, which was served with edamame puree, soy pickled shiitake mushrooms, and watercress. The cod itself was pretty good, although I thought it was slightly on the fatty side. I think they could have also seasoned it a bit more/better, as it was a bit bland. The edamame puree was a unique and nice complement to the fish though. While it was certainly a decent dish, I do think that the price of 24.50 GBP was a little high.
The restaurant itself is very lively - for those that enjoy environments like that, it could be good, but I can see how others would find it a bit too noisy. I went on a weekday for lunch and it was still loud enough that it was hard to hear someone right across the table from me at times. The interior does have some nice trendy decor though, with a nice bar area, which would make it a good spot for drinks as well. The staff are pretty friendly and the service speed is fairly quick. This location is right by the Jubilee line tube station as well as the Canada Place mall, which is convenient.
Overall, despite my few minor critiques, I do think Caravan is a decent choice for a meal or drinks in Canary Wharf if you like a lively environment and are seeking something on the slightly healthier side. read more
