Called CarTunes at 10:40 A.M. today " mind you it's the day before Christmas Eve" I talked to A gentleman named Jim about putting a remote start on my girlfriends Nissan Rouge. He told me about the $50 off special they were still running and I asked if they could get me in today for install, he assured me that in fact he could get me in today and instructed me to drop the car off and they would get it finished before closing which is at 5 P.M. So I decided to pull the trigger as this was A last minute Christmas gift, upon the arrival to the location I noticed two customers in front of me and he methodically worked quickly and efficiently to help them and greeting me promptly. He explained the system being installed and every feature. He wrote me up a quote with no hidden fees or surprises. I left and received a call at 3:53 P.M. letting me know my vehicle is complete and ready for pickup. Jim and his install team greeted me upon arrival, Jim cashed me out again with no hidden charges and then re-explained the system and how it works and wished me a Merry Christmas! We ended on a handshake and a lifetime guarantee, to say the least these guys were prompt, courteous and very efficient! I will be back and definitely highly recommend Jim and his team at CarTunes! THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Called on the phone about bringing my car in to get my sub box and amp installed in my srt and from the beginning of the call the guy on the phone was breathing hard and you can hear the tone is his voice like he's annoyed that I'm asking him questions. It doesn't matter if your having a bad day or not. Customer service skills is what make and break companies. If I'm not mistaken the employee I spoke with name is Jim. Sorry not sorry.. guess I'll stick with my people at Mikey shores in warren. read more

When I was on search for a new head unit, this was one of the places I stopped. It's in the middle of a bunch of different places that sell car audio, so I thought, why not? They have a sizable selection of head units. For some reason, it seems like they were really heavy into truck boxes, sub speakers, and cabinets. Could this store be to blame for the noise pollution on Gratiot in the summer nights? Who knows. But they sell a ton of loud as hell speakers. The selection of head units they carried wasn't all that different than the places I'd stopped at before I came to Car Tunes. I'd heard their commercials on 89X, and was hoping to find a couple sales on a decent unit. I didn't. It would've been a choice between buying a unit here just to... well, buy it there, or go back to Best Buy, Circuit City, or Mickey Shorr. I definitely didn't stay at CT. I did like that they offer installations assistance and the probably the coolest feature of the store: an Ipod repair service. They claim they can repair any model Ipod, and that's a good thing to know. How their prices are, I haven't the slightest, but it's good knowing there's a place not far that I can take my Ipod when it runs out of warranty and finally dies. read more

Alex is a fantastic guy did not over sell me and suggested the perfect speakers for my 2017 Jeep Cherokee I got the Alpine R-S69 and the 445 KTU power pack the insulation only took 3 hours and they did a fantastic job everything is sounding exactly what I expected to sound like once again thank you Alex and thank you Joe (installer) this was a fantastic experience I suggest this shop to anyone looking to upgrade there speakers or audio unit read more

bass lovers beware!!! they will blow your subs and not pay for it !!! i took my 3 amp system there to have it tuned and they blew one of my subs and then tried to say i did it!!! even though the day before i was trying to tune them myself and there was no blown suspension!!! i mean look at the picture !!! joey says come here let me show you something. so i go out there and he says matt turn ot up a lottle so i can show him. the amount of distortion and smellimg of burning up the subs was ridiculous!! no wonder one of the subs blew!!! terrible place will not be back! read more

I'd rather not even leave a star for this. Called to get a quote for window tinting on my car that I had taken there previously with the remote start issue. Mentioned the discount that the manager said I would get on tinting for my troubles with the remote start. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was pretty rude about it, and said he couldn't honor the discount mentioned previously because that manager was supposedly no longer there. Needless to say, I'll be taking my window tinting needs elsewhere. Car tunes probably would have managed to screw that one up too. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR WINDOWS TINTED HERE!! I got my windows tinted here over the summer and it turned out horrible. About three weeks after, I brought my car back because the all of the windows had bubbles and the cuts looked like they were done by a first grader. They said if I wanted my rear window redone I had to sign a waiver just in case they ruined my rear defroster. So I told them not to redo the rear window. Again I waited a few weeks and went back. This time only the right two windows bubbled. I had to have them redone again! The back right window has bubbles but I refuse to go back to have it redone again. Also, I noticed that five lines across my rear window don't defrost anymore. I called them and told them. They told me that there is no possible way they broke my defroster because they do their cuts on the outside. Well, rear defrosters don't just break like that. Especially five random lines stop working. I will make sure none of my friends or family ever come here. It would've turned out better if I did my own window tint. And just so you know who to blame, it was the kid that drives the white Scion xb that tinted my windows and failed miserably. They charge just as much as a profession window tint shop too. read more

These guys are awesome!!! I got my radio installed twice here. The service was great both time. I forgot to give them my mic. for speaker phone after they had already installed my radio, the salesman nicely took it back and they installed it for free and without a fuse. I really like that they did not take advantage of me, and I'm happy with my service. Of course i will be back. I seen their work on tint windows its pretty nice. read more
