A dealbreaker, leaking injectors under engine cover.

Buy at your own risk with Car Time. Demitri and Bernard appear to be nice, honest, and quick to respond but they only care about selling cars. Drove 3hrs only to be told there was a pending sale after Bernard told me it was available on the phone. Then was pushed into placing a cash deposit to hold it (told cc deposits were not possible). Returned the morning of the next business day after speaking with a mechanic on what to look at. When I checked, major issues were discovered, but Demitri tried to convince me that their mechanic had fixed them, yet it was obvious it was a lie. At that point I wanted my $500 cash deposit back, but was told that they don't refund deposits, but was given $200 back. Their reasoning was loss of the pending sale, but both of them had different stores about the pending sale, more lies. Yet it took them 3 more weeks to sell the van. Be carful and only purchase from them with the help of a reliable mechanic, as these guys are "true used car salesman", and will only sell you lies.

Confident in their report, the vehicle was paid for at the asking price. So far so good except for one little area where they didn't take into consideration the age of the vehicle versus the low mileage, meaning I was expecting to keep it for awhile. There was an issue that would need addressing a year down the road. This was a unique situation because the vehicle was bought in Pennsylvania but shipped to Arizona. Because that was not caught, the manager Vas apologized and at first wanted to work something out with his shop to address the area needing repair. When he realized the vehicle was already in Arizona, +he refunded my inspection fee. That was the best he could do given the circumstances. I used it as a teaching moment for him to instruct his staff to note things that were not just immediately in need of attention, but those that would need attention soon and already showing signs of wear. (control arms and bushings, which still can cause uneven wear on tires in early stages.) In retrospect the opportunity to bargain with the seller of the vehicle being bought was missed and an expense was incurred, but I think a lesson was learned by all.

Mainly, does the vehicle have any excessive rust. He stated that it did not but I did not ask for any pictures under the vehicle. I even told him, " Never have I bought a car sight unseen...so trusting others to do what I would do is definitely taking a leap of faith." When the vehicle arrived my son and I started to inspect it and it was not at all what Bryan stated. Tons of rust underneath, missing one of two catalytic converters, noxious fumes when ran, and numerous other problems. Bought for $7,500, paid about $1,200 in shipping, put almost $2,000 in repairs that were unexpected based on his condition of the vehicle and this car burns about 1.5 quarts every 300 miles. The local dealership stated it needed about $10,000 worth of work to be a decent car. I can maybe get $4,000 out of it as it needs a new engine or for the piston rings to be replaced and engine rebuilt. As a single parent, this is a HUGE loss for me. Bryan is an outright liar and only looking out for his own benefit.

I found out the ballbearings, Tie rods, wheel Ballbearings, U- joints, And the shifter linkage on the transmission had all to be replaced. Which cost me over $1500. I have not even talk to you about the Engine; The serpentine belt was bad; AC was low on freon; The engine oil has not been change for over 20,000 Miles; Top that the radiator was so full crap, it took three flushes to clean it out. Plus the Bad tires that was not road worthy, broken windshield, and broken window wipers. I can see the dealer did not go through this truck before they put it on internet. I Have to say That the truck had a great detailing job, I was impressed, but that doesn't help with all the things that was wrong with this 2004 Ford Ranger 4x4 truck. I've trying to call their office and with no one answers. All I was asking is that they help with the rust problem. I talked to them and they were not willing to work with me on the rust issue. Then I have the only recourse is to use the internet to make sure other people know that they are selling lemons on the internet.
