I was tipped off to Car Tech from Groupon. The entire operation was professional and fast. Ben will get you scheduled in a friendly manner. The employees at Car Tech will check your vehicle thoroughly and complete the service to your satisfaction. Any possible future work will be explained and the estimated costs will be plainly laid out. Trust is earned and the people at Car Tech have earned that trust with me.

This is the best shop in town. I bring both of my cars here for all issues and routine maintenance. I found them on a Groupon and was blown away by Charlie's customer care. Bobby always fits me on the schedule, and these are the most honest bunch you can find. I don't write many reviews. This is one I'm proud to write.

Called yesterday because i saw an awesome Groupon deal for new brakes, which my dealership in San Diego told me i needed because the front were in the red and the back are in the yellow. Of course, they charge way too much in general so i didn't get anything done but took their recommendations with me. Fast forward to last night and he told me that i shouldn't buy the Groupon quite yet because he has seen people with my same situation who ended up not needing any brakes. So i take it in today, and he was right. My brakes are fine for a while, and he said, "i don't feel comfortable selling you brakes with that much pad left." I find this and him to be so respectable and i thank you!! It's so easy to be taken advantage of, and this place is awesome. When i do need something done with my car, I'll be back. read more

I am always a little apprehensive when trying a new auto shop for oil changes from Groupons, but after numerous screw ups from Pep Boys, I decided to try Car Tech. extremely poor customer service. Extremely rude. Had a groupon that I had to cancel because I refuse to take my car to people who treat customers like they do. Bringing your car to someone you don't know is risky business anyways. Definitely would not take my car to this place at all. read more

Completely satisfied with this auto repair shop. Repair cost on my '06 CRV was reasonable and I was shown the damaged part that was taken off my vehicle. I received very good customer service. I was phoned as soon as the estimate was completed by Ben, and told what the problem was with my car. He was able to locate the part and had the repair done the same day. I've lived in Scottsdale for 25 years, and this is my new shop of choice. Thanks Ben read more

I'm new to the area and i came in to 1 other person in the waiting room no one at the counter to greet after standing for about 5 minutes go no help no one to ask what I needed I decided to sit down and wait after 30 minutes of just sitting waiting for someone to come assist me some one come and ask what I needed then explained I wanted an oil change as seen on Groupon he then informs me I need to make an appointment. That's fine with me I just wish I wouldn't have waisted more than 30 min just sitting there. First apportioned was not available untill Thursday. DO NOT USE THE GROUPON (for front or rear brake replacement). You pay $60 to Groupon and then the shop gives you $30 off parts and another $30 off labor- you basically just split the payment between the shop and Groupon and don't save anything. The Groupon states it's a brake replacement service valued at $199 (you pay $60 to Groupon, redeem your coupon at the shop and get your stuff taken care of). The shop said the Groupon is worded improperly and that it's really just a coupon for $60 off the service. We went back and forth explaining that we're happy to pay for the additional work (rotor replacement, labor of such, and oil change) but that we shouldn't be paying anything for the front brake replacement service. The shop just told us to talk to Groupon (who is taking a long time to respond and find a resolution). Can't tell you about the quality of the work at this point, but based on this whole debacle we won't be back. read more

I feel like I've found in Charlie, a car mechanic who not only I can trust, but who goes beyond expectations. Here's an example. I was driving along and all my electrics started failing, but I managed to get it home. I called Charlie and he immediately dropped everything, came to my house , jump started my car and drove it to the shop. Within minutes he had a diagnosis (alternator), a more than fair price and he had the thing fixed within hours. Charlie is an honest businessman who is very good at his craft. He doesn't blink at complex issues. I saw a 12 cyl BMW in his shop that he fixed after the dealer gave up on a diagnosis. He has worked on my A/C, wheel bearings, shocks, alternator, rack/pinion steering. All solid repairs and fairly priced. He'll tell you if a repair is urgent or if it can wait. No pressure either way. Charlie has often told me that he likes to treat his customers like family and It always feels that way to me. read more

This is my new go to mechanic! I've gone to several other mechanics and Charlie seemed honest and reasonable. I had an appointment with someone close by, where i had stopped by the day prior. When I called to confirm my appointment the next day the man on the phone sounded phony and condescending. Something told me not to go there but I needed something fixed. When I went to my appointment, instinct told me not to so I decided to go next door instead and check it out. Boy am I happy I did. I definitely recommend. I got a Groupon to change brake pads and went in today on time. Charlie in the front desk asked me to park the car in their parking lot for them to check later and I can come back later, I parked the car and said is it ok to leave the key there, he said he's sure they will find it later, didn't even ask where exactly I parked.....then I asked him how long it will take for the whole thing, he said it will be by 5pm(I went in at noon). So I asked why it will take so long, he started telling me because my car was European make(BMW) the brake pads will cost more than the Groupon I got (I got it for $120), also Groupon doesn't cover labor, so I will end up spending much more. This is just insane, without looking at my car he was already telling me I have to pay more. He didn't even mention it until I was about to leave and ask how long it will take. His attitude made me really uncomfortable and trying to charge more without even taking at a look at my car is just not professional. He didn't mention about charging me more at first and just asked me to park the car and he will call me back later. Anyways I told him I thought the Groupon should cover it I'll check with them and may come back later, he immediately got mad and raised his voice and said 'Ok mam YOU have a GREAT day!' Me and my husband got shocked how rude he got when he thought he lost the business, but telling me he's going to overcharging me on top of what I already paid in Groupon, without even looking at my car - not professional at all. Later I got another Groupon for less money and got the job done in a couple hours. read more

My husband, Peter, took our Acura to Charlie for a problem with our gas tank. The ultimate fix of replacing it entirely would have cost close to $1,000. Charlie worked on it without having to purchase the new part and it cost us a fraction of that. Not only did we feel like he was an honest mechanic, he actually followed up after the weekend to see how the car was running. That level of service is extremely rare...especially in the world of mechanics. We so appreciate it and will be returning to Charlie whenever necessary. read more

I had my oil changed last week.. thinking who can screw up an oil change, right? Surprisingly, I was impressed with the personal attention , clean, I mean CLEAN environment and an overall sense of trust..As a single woman, who know next to nothing about cars other than when to change the oil and how to gas up...:( ...I haven't felt this sense of trust often... anyway, I was told I needed two tires so I'm here again today for an alignment and new rubber... Once again, my visit was smooth, courteous and professional! I'm impressed! And yay! I finally have a go to guy (Charlie ) when that funny sound or noise mysteriously appears.... Can't say enough positive things about my experience this week with Car Tech and Charlie, the shop's owner! Used a Living Social Oil Change and Tire Rotation deal and not only did Charlie NOT try to up-sell me, he called me to right a slight overcharge on a fee I had expected. I set up appointments for all 3 of our cars, and although I was made aware of work that did need to be done on 1 in particular, I was not pushed to do any of the work, and instead the repairs were communicated to me in terms I could understand, and in order of most critically needed. Great shop, very honest business practices, and fair prices for work done in a timely and efficient manner. Thanks, Charlie...I will spread the word! read more

Wow- I can't say enough . . communication was excellent, pricing was fair, and work was performed FAST. Charlie and his staff took care of the laundry list of repairs including welding a broken driver's seat mount. Talk about a one-stop-shop. This shop was recommended to me and I wish I'd known about them sooner. I've had my AC line fixed and also my wiring harness for the transmission fixed here. Charlie also dropped me off at my office both times when leaving my car with him, and picked me up as well. I could not be happier with the level of service, knowledge and Charlie's ability to make would-be stressful car problems, NO PROBLEM AT ALL. I have been in and out of here both times quickly and there was no question that I was going to hear from him about my car, no question that it was going to be fixed and no question about the final bill. There's about 20 other car places in the area, but Car Tech is the diamond in the rough. I hate car problems but Charlie is so calm and positive about it that it rubs off. When you have someone who's confident and knows what they're doing, you don't worry about it. I cannot overrate the quality of capability. This is my new mechanic and I feel sorry for anyone who takes their car somewhere else. read more

I was looking for a honest and well qualified place to fix few thing on my car. After few calls and research online I decided to try to Car Tech and it was my best experience ever! Nobody forced me to do any unnecessary repairs. Charlie (Owner) was great, I felt like he was actually trying to help me fix my car. They did everything what I asked first day and I requested to do a full car check, so I could see if I have any issues which I should look into a future. Charlie provided a full and very detailed explanation and what his mechanics found, when I should change/repair those items and pricing for them. He also provided his recommendations on what was a priority on those repairs so I could make sure I have no unexpected breakdowns. It helped me a lot to asses the situation and make sure that I can keep my car running in well maintain condition for many months. I make back the second day for the items I picked from the list which had the highest priorities. Last and most important price was great, I checked with few other places and Car Tech was cheapest! read more

This is the best shop in Arizona! The customer service is over the top. Everyone in the shop--Sonny, Rick, Milo, Kevin, Iram, and Luis--go above and beyond to make sure every customer feels welcome and taken care of. Whether you're coming in for a quick fix or a major repair, they treat you like family and make sure you leave with your car running better than ever. They're honest, professional, and really know what they're doing. You can tell they take pride in their work and actually care about their customers--not just their cars. I've seen them go the extra mile to explain things clearly, offer fair prices, and make sure people aren't stressed during the repair process. If you're looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and friendly auto shop, this is the place to go. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! read more

Charlie the owner is a genuinely good guy, straight-forward, ethical and has a great sense of humor. My son's AC went out (of course) on a 113 degree day here in Scottsdale. This is a busy shop but he got us in the next day with no drama. His shop is also extremely clean. That is something I consider to be one of the best ways to measure a great (any kind of) business. Since first meeting Charlie, we've been in for 2 alignments, 3 oil changes, now an AC compressor replacement all work done on 3 different cars over just a couple weeks. No up sells. I couldn't recommend Charlie and Car Tech any higher. If you need work done on your car and hate dealing with dealerships (as I do knowing service is their highest margin business) consider taking it to Charlie. - Chris read more

Honesty and Integrity is not a missing ingredient here and certainly a rare combination in the world of mechanics. What a great service shop!!! Clean as a well maintained personal clean freak hobbyist garage and as personal and professional as any shop could possibly be. Charlie, is a straight forward and super likable guy that clearly lives and breaths integrity and honesty. He has worked on my BMW on a few different occasions and I cannot be more happy with his service and prices. I am a customer for life for sure! I originally came to Car Tech for the convenience of having someone else do a simple oil change. I talked to the owner and liked that he was willing to discuss with me issues that may come up or work that needs to be done. I got the sense that he has the background, knowledge, and tools to address new technology and maintenance items I might not have thought of on new cars, For sure it is better than me working in my driveway. I have gone back for oil changes and other maintenance issues on my two 2012 Toyotas and I have been pleased with the service and price. If I need repairs I will take it to them. It feels good to find Car Tech, an independent automotive maintenance and repair resource where you are treated fairly. read more

I travel with my job 48 weeks out of the year, so am not in one place long enough to establish a relationship with a mechanic. Having had so many opportunities for bad experiences, I have gotten very cynical about auto mechanics, but Charlie restored my faith. He and his shop lived up to (and exceeded) all the good reviews I'd read, and I'm just sorry I can't have him take care of my car on a regular basis. The shop was neat and clean, the work was done within the specified timeframe for a reasonable cost, and Charlie took the time to go over everything he had done--and why--in detail. It's nice to walk away from an auto shop feeling good about the experience! read more

Today was my first visit to this place, and I am very impressed. Charlie is highly professional, knowledgeable and personable. As soon as I entered, I noticed how clean and well organized everything is, and I am not talking just about the lobby but about the work area as well. My car needed an oil change and tire rotation. The job was done quickly, with no up-sell of any kind. While waiting for my car, I talked to one of the longtime customers of this shop. He could not say enough good words about Charlie. I have been a customer of Car Tech for a dew years now, I first met Charlie the owner through the Veterans organization I work at. He contacted us to ask if we could send him a veteran a month so he could service their car for free as a way to thank them for their service. What a generous offer I have sent a lot of vets to him. He services our company truck for us and he works on my car as well. Work is always completed quickly and the price is always what he quotes. What a great place!! After having a bad experience with Midas, I happened on to this place in Groupon. Charlie is very nice and super honest. He has a heart as big as a house because he fixes a veteran's car per month for free. How many times do you run across an owner who does the right thing even if there's no gain in it for him. He got us in and out in about 20 minutes for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. He also fixed a small window problem for us free of charge. Charlie gets my business from now on. read more

I was NOT disappointed. The service at Marshall's was top notch from start to finish, with an exceptionally friendly staff. I could tell when I dropped the car off that they were busy, so I expected it to be a long day - but it wasn't at all. They had the car ready to go within a few hours, and with a few suggestions for some potential upcoming work, but without any of the haggling or bloated pricing. I've already suggested Marshall's to a few people I've met that are in the same position. Good stuff.

I recently had to go in due to an emissions check engine error for a smoke test to confirm location of the error. Professional and transparent in the handling of the issue. Called to advise me of the error and cost of overall repairs. I first started going to them in my 30's when I lived down the street from them. I was referred to them by two older women in my complex. Cautious as most women are of mechanics I researched them and recall finding reviews by women online regarding their fair and honest treatment of women. Now that the business was taken over by Marshall's partner Pat. I can confirm that the business still runs with the same mindset as when Marshall's owned it. I live in Phoenix little of a drive but will be taking my current car to Marshall's for some upcoming maintenance. Fluffy Grandma Recommends

Everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient from start to finish. They completed my oil change quickly, but what really impressed me was that they took the time to point out that my key fob battery was getting low before it became a problem. The biggest surprise was when I mentioned I had been struggling to reconnect my phone to my car's Bluetooth. The manager came out, took a look, and had it connected in less than two minutes! That level of customer service went far beyond what I expected during a routine oil change. It's rare to find a business that's not only fast and knowledgeable but also willing to help with something completely unrelated just because they care about their customers. I truly appreciated the extra effort and kindness. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this team!

I called them on a Friday at about 4PM. I asked JOEL if it was better to bring it in tonight or before they opened on a Saturday at 8AM. They said just show up tomorrow and we'll get to it as we can. I was there at 7:50 AM for a drop off. They did not contact me until 3PM on Saturday to say that they haven't fixed the AC yet but they have changed the full synthetic oil ($107 - $15 website coupon) and tested several other fluid with "corrosivity strips." Both the brake fluid ($125) and radiator coolant fluid ($170) tested "bad." I gave approval to move forward. Hey, I'm not a mechanic nor have access to these "magic testing strips." I received a call at 4:30 PM on the same day (Saturday) that the AC had been charged but the compressor is not coming on. It's too late to diagnose so we'll have to keep until Monday. Monday comes and I receive a call at 4PM when they said the AC compressor is dead. $1,284 to replace it. In for a penny, in for a pound. They claim the part is in town and can be received early enough on Tuesday to have it back to me. Tuesday comes and instead of a call saying your truck is done (in time for my Social Distortion concert which I made them aware of) they now say the entire system is "flooded with contaminants" and we'll need to replace the condenser and extension value. Now they have me over a barrel. No additional discounts are mentioned nor offered. I received word the truck was done at 5:45PM and to come pick it up in the next 15 minutes or wait until tomorrow. I took my truck in for AC service and oil change. I leave paying $3,394.16. Was it required? Again, only people with car maintenance knowledge can judge. Will I ever recommend them? Absolutely not. I'm pretty sure that I covered most of their costs to repair my truck over the 4 days they had it. They did not even thank me for my business.
