For my specific make and model, he told me exactly what needed to be done, why my specific car is complex and unless it was an emergency, he recommended I go to the dealer due to my specific car make and model. That is refreshing in today's market. Makes me believe he will not take your money or charge extra to make a buck. He is truly honest, kind and very helpful. I would strongly recommend calling him for your locksmith needs and ask how to proceed before using anyone else. He walked in with no "hello" or anything like that it was "what do you need?". I told him I needed a key copied. He took the original from me, copied it and rang me up. Not a single word spoken. Plus almost $10 to copy a basic key. I'm sure there are a million other places to help with your key and lock needs. Go there instead.

Once he arrived, I had a brand new key and remote in 20 minutes flat - good as new. They were very professional, respectful, and did a great job. Any business that deals with people in dire situations could easily be shady and take advantage, but Locksmith men are a class act! Lesson learned? Don't be stupid and force a jammed lock. He installed 3 new locks with deadbolts on doors that are old and finicky. Original to our late 60s house, they stick and yet, Brian installed everything beautifully. Locks look good and they work! His pricing is reasonable. He is communicative and shows up exactly when he says he will. I never felt uncomfortable with him in the house. Thank goodness someone was home to let me in and I immediately consulted Yelp for a local locksmith. Call me old fashioned but I like to use a brick and mortar store when it comes to locks and security. (Had a bad experience in the city from a "mobile locksmith" years ago but that's a story for another day). I spoke to Jose at Merrick Master Locksmiths, we agreed on a price range and he was at my house in less than 30 minutes. Jose extracted the broken key and fixed the lock in about 10 minutes including a nice hit of WD-40 to lube it up, something I'll do in future periodically to keep things working well. Price was reasonable for a house call and he even threw in 2 free spare keys made at the store later that day. Lock is working perfectly now. Merrick Master Locksmiths offers a wide array of products/services ranging from simple key dupes to high tech keypad lock installation. Safe, prompt, reasonable, friendly service by a small local business. Yes I'll take it!

He got back to me quickly with a quote and was extremely kind-friendly. Lucky for me, my mother somehow ended up with my key in her pocketbook (children I assume) so I did not need his services.
