The lock worked for 6 weeks and then "died". I called the locksmith and he told us to insert new batteries which my tenant did and it worked for 2 days and "died" again. I called/texted the locksmith multiple times and he intermittently responded but could never make a date to come and evaluate the lock. I became very frustrated and called Columbus One and Jay responded quickly and met me several days later. He was excellent and was able to install a new lock in about 30 minutes. He was very professional and truly a nice guy. To top it off, it cost me half of what the first locksmith charged me-- granted the first one had to make a hole in the doorframe, but still-- that's maybe another 15 minutes. I am sooo happy with Jay at Columbus One Locksmith.

The existing locks/door knobs were made of the cheap glass/crystal which can break easily. Due to the high number of locks I needed, I contacted 3 locksmiths for an estimate. Mike of Embassy Locksmith showed up on time and gave me the estimate on the same day. Because of the high number of locks he also waived his service fee. Mike's estimate was in the middle. I chose to go with Mike because of his promptness, demeanor, and professionalism. After the initial deposit, he ordered the locks and was ready to install them by the following week. But I had to change the installation schedule so many times because of a new grand baby arrival and the property was about 2 hours away from our home residence. Mike was very patient with me in spite of my constant schedule changes which I really appreciated. He also made an extra trip with my son and accommodated additional changes. Since the house is very old, many doors required special care during installation. Mike was very creative in making adjustments with extra washers, extra plates, altered strike plates etc, he made all the locks to be functional. This job required about 2 full days. I highly recommend Mike whether it is one lock or many locks. You wont be disappointed.

On top of the obvious work involved, I had another annoyance with the lock guard that I had never been able to resolve. Honestly I could not ask for more. Five stars all the way. Locksmiths USA saved me from losing out on work when all my local locksmiths would have let me down otherwise. If you're in a pinch or even if you'd just like to have your lock looked at, Locksmiths USA comes highly recommended. You won't regret calling these guys.
