NO NO NO! DO NOT USE THIS GUY! Oscar made my appointment for 4:30 one afternoon. He showed up at…read more6pm. Got upset that my garage didn't have adequate lighting and he would have to use his own portable lights. He diagnosed my coolant was leaking and my thermostat and thermostat housing had to be replaced and coolant added. He let me know he doesn't like to talk while working so I said no problem. During the work he said something and I answered. He was then RUDE and said he didn't want to talk. I informed him I was just answering his remark. I paid him $350 for the work done. Even though he had been rude, I was considering using him again. Then, my car, 5 weeks later, started exhibiting the same symptoms as before he worked on it. I contacted Oscar, we made an appointment for the next day. No call no show. I then took the car to a qualified auto repair center and will now be paying over $600 to replace the thermostat, replace the thermostat housing that he cracked and add more coolant. I would give negative stars if I could! DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!!

The car will be picked up tomorrow and supposedly fixed now, but at a very high cost because of what the mechanics at Carmotive did.

I've taken my car here several times for various reasons (it's really old and has issues). Each time, Mr. Wu has invited me to see the car on the rack myself, has advised me what should be fixed at that time (and what I should just leave until another day). He has always repaired everything on time, correctly, and will let me know when I can expect to repair something down the road. Mr. Wu and his lovely wife are good people who own and operate a very popular service center. He has saved me hundreds of dollars, keeps my car purring, and even remembers me by name and my car's many issues. You won't find a more honest and knowledgeable mechanic in Houston.

SCAMMERS!!!!!!! I…read moreshould have followed my gut feelings about this place after reading the reviews. I should have known better when I walked into the waiting area and the trash was over flowing, coffee stains riddled across the tables and chairs, and the mechanics were sitting INSIDE smoking. They ran a diagnostic on my car for free and every other place was charging $85+ so I let them fix my car. I had a coolant leak and a code 65 on my dashboard. I was told I needed a new radiator, Oxygen sensor, EVAP, and thermostat. I was told to fix all of this would be $800 . My total after taxes was $823 It has been about a week later and the code 65 is back on my dashboard AND my coolant is still leaking! THEY DIDN'T FIX NOTHING! PLAYED IN MY CAR FOR 24 HOURS! This place should not be in business! I 1000% don't recommend this place

We just happened to find Texan Auto looking for a second opinion to purchase a used car. The Manager, Rush told us what to look for and to stand our grounds to the salesman tactics. He pretty much helped us negotiate the car deal and he just met us. My family have been loyal customers ever since. It's a relief to be able to take your car somewhere and know that they are honest and reliable. The whole staff, Sean, and the old school mechanic have been very friendly. They take time to explain to us about our cars. Once he was short on staff and I needed inspections that day, Rush called his competitor to make sure I got the inspections done that day. Oh, they love doggos. I waited outside with my dogs and Sean told us they are welcomed in the waiting room where everyone came and petted them! Do ever get a hug from your mechanic? Rush hugged us knowing that we are moving to the east coast. There are things that I will miss about Texas and the staff at Texan Auto is one of them.
