Good location with friendly associates that are there to help answer any DMV questions you have when the good ole Internet isn't being helpful. Popped into this location to query about a NYS registration that wasn't successfully processing after many attempts to self serve as usual in years past. Recently made an address change and even though DMV issued the new license with it, and I tried to input the new and old zip code details in it wasn't successfully submitting. While physically at this location which is a basic, no frills counter service that can guide you with DMV needs at an administrative service cost, I attempted to try to self serve one more time, and it worked. Hooray!!! The NYS DMV charge processed through. So glad I tried one more time as it saved me from physically having to fill out the paperwork to be processed at a fee. That said I feel this is a good location that is open on weekends, when DMV typically isn't, that is willing to help you get the needed done. read more

After endless frustrations with the DMV, who apparently no longer accept walk-ins, I decided to try 'DMV services' for a title and plates. First off, given the amount of people who had obviously not checked the DMV website to see what paperwork was required, the staff were prompt and effective. There were 3 bi-lingual staff members who kept things moving, in spite of having to circle back to correct wrong applications. There were about 6 people ahead of me and I was in and out with everything done in about an hour and a half. How does that compare to the dreadful DMV? One thing to note, their sign-in procedure is a little outdated and involves writing your name on a scrap of paper. When your name is called a line is put through your name in pen. I saw at least two examples of fraudulent entries from people waiting while I was there.... They were up to page 3 on the sign in list but someone came in and wrote their name down at the bottom of page 1 (under the last line) thus jumping ahead of the second and third page of names. Willful or not I cannot say, but the system generally goes unchecked. I also saw a mother send her son ahead of the line to sign in on her behalf. She was behind me on line but was taken about 3 names before me. Way to raise your kid!!! A simple matter of taking a number (like the DMV) and waiting your turn would make for a less stressful time. Bottom line / tl;dr A good way to get fast (and perfectly legit) DMV services. You will pay more as this is a private company, but you get what you pay for. A better sign in system would help given the free-for-all attitude of the local demographic. Would recommend read more

Needed a simple automobile title transfer, no registration, no plates, went to AAA and got a form. I was told to get it filled and make an appointment online for the transfer. Made the first available appointment at a DMV office (2 weeks wait) when I got there I was handed another form and told to reschedule. (Two more weeks). Now over a month went by and again, I stood in line at the DMV for my number to be called and two hours later I was handed another form and told to make another appointment. I was doing this for a family member. Since one can't sell a car without a title and the buyer could not wait any longer, I did a quick search and found this place, I went there half hour before they opened and was the third in line. Got to speak with a knowledgeable intelligent person, it took her 2 minutes to feed the proper form into the system. Done. Well worth the $213 I paid. My relative got the title in the mail. Bottom line: the place doesn't look pretty, you'll pay more, but, they get the job done! read more

Very long wait time. I got there at 1:00 and got served at 5:45. Witting area is long and thin so people can easily be on top of each other. The problem is no so much with the staff as there very nice and try to help everyone, but with the customers not filling out there paper work until there called, not understanding the language and missing or wrong documentation. I give the staff 5 stars and the majority of the customers 1. witting time could be cut in half if people were ready. read more

I had to surrender my license plates after my car was totaled in an accident. Service was quick and efficient, a little pricey but well worth the time spent when the alternative was waiting in a huge room for hours on end. She did NOT even ask for my name. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!! Where do i start.... The First time i went I was told i was missing only a notarized copy of the title. I was told that was all i needed called the leasing company they sent me the notarized title.. (which i was told what i provided them is what they usually send to clients and never had a problem) I get the new title go back today and was dismissed by the girl with the braids. (wearing a hoodie in an office like she at the park) took my papers asked me who helped me. told her the girl that sits in front of her and then she didn't go to her to ask questions she went to someone else. pulls apart all of my documents that i had in order as per the DMV handout. comes back with an attitude and told me yet again they can not register the car because they can't except the out of state notary from the leasing company... I do not need to be treated with disrespect when i am paying for a service. so many services around... don't waste your time they will just keep telling you are missing something. the only good thing is if you pay cash you get somewhat of a discount. When I submitted a used car registration (after filling all documents myself) I was told that the DMV was backed up for two week. It so happens that about two weeks later I learned that I could get a registration for another used vehicle issued online. It took a total of two weeks for the DMV to issue me a new registration document via the website and email communication. I got the plates in the mail. It took a total of six weeks for this store to get my paperwork in and receive the plates. I then had to drive back here and pick them up myself, waiting in line of course. They charged me nearly $400 as a percentage fee for this process. I also emailed them a couple times with my VIN to find out what was going on with the delay. Each response was generic, I don't think anyone actually looked for my paperwork. read more

This company has horrible customer service. They do not pick up the phone or call you when your paperwork is ready like they say they will. You have to wait outside for a long time just to get a chance to see if your paperwork is ready. It is quicker and less of a headache to just go to the DMV. read more

Gave them my paperwork in late August for them to register my used car. Turns out its a salvage, they did not pick it up when I gave them the title. That delayed me about 2 weeks, Now they have to send the paperwork to Albany, I went down to pay an extra fee just for them to mail it to Albany. Months go by, I call and call and no one can answer my questions and Regina NEVER calls back. I got my State Senator involved to see whats going on, I then find out they mailed my paperwork a month and a half after they originally told me. Now 4 months after I gave them the paperwork and paid them a significant amount of money, I did hear from Albany. They sent me back my paperwork because it was not filled out properly. 4 months and hundreds of dollars down the drain. Save you money and just go to DMV yourself, I wish I had. read more

I highly do not recommend this place. I got a new car the day after Thanksgiving and decided to go here instead of the dmv in Massapequa. They originally told me it's gonna take 2 weeks to get license plates and registration. Meanwhile my sister got a car back in July and got the plates the same day. They took my money and here I am almost 3 weeks later with no plates. I have called multiple times and they keep extending how long it will take. I even called New York State and they said my order has not even been processed yet. This is completely unacceptable I can't even drive my car I bought a month ago. If you would like to be embarrassed in front of a bunch of people then by all means go there. The first young woman who was assisting me was quiet and polite- seemed new so the other "experienced" woman who came back from somewhere jumped in to help her (cool I thought at first). The "experienced" lady would yell out questions to you- ok not bad, but then send the other girl running back and forth to sign something or collect something. At the same time she was yelling questions at the guy next to me. Multi tasking ninja. Cool. Until she yells to me she can't do anything b/c its been way overtime since the plates should have been surrended 300 days ago and the insurance lapsed. I said I know the insurance lapsed my father was in the hospital when it happened. I didn't feel the need to shout back at her "the insurance lapsed while he was dying". Then she yells "it's been over 300 days you should have surrended it, I can't do anything you need to go to the DMV. Repeatedly. I was embarrassed and shocked and if it wasn't for the fact of the anniversary of my fathers passing in 5 days I probably would've told her where she can stick her attitude and mouth and the 300 days. She should have just had the girl walk over to me and explain everything, not keep shouting the same thing over and over. The only 2 things that came out of it: They printed my ins cards for me and I surrended the plates. You are better off going there to get the correct forms you need (save that part of the headache from the DMV) and just sit on the rock hard benches at the DMV for anything to be done. read more

Stay away from this place. Don't waste your time. It's unfortunate that the DMV's are closed. Dropped off paperwork to get comm registration no communication paid a fee and received no service.
