I only had half a mind to leave home with my car and arrive in a new car today, and am elated at my decision to take the leap. Miguel, Katie, Amiya (spelling!) and the rest of the crew were easy to immediately connect with. Not only did I leave with a new-to-me car (one I've wanted since I started driving many moons ago, to be honest) but I left with new relationships and ultimately had one of the best Mondays ever -- especially considering I now have an "Ultimate Driving Machine" of my own. Thank you to the whole team! EDIT/UPDATE (June 19, 2026): Well. I wish I was writing this update to say everything after the sale was as positive as the buying experience. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. To be fair, I have no personal issues with any of the employees I've dealt with. Everyone I've spoken with in person, over the phone, or through email has been polite, professional, and easy to work with. My frustration is with the condition of the vehicle and the process that followed. I purchased a 2017 BMW 530i and began reporting issues almost immediately. Within days of ownership, I was dealing with TPMS faults, HVAC problems (the driver's side would blow hot air when it shouldn't), rough idle/vibration concerns, and steering/alignment issues. I reported these concerns and brought the vehicle back multiple times. Additional items that were addressed included broken driver-seat trim, damaged exterior trim, blend door actuator issues, and alignment concerns. As time went on, communication became increasingly difficult. Calls frequently went unanswered, voicemail boxes were often full, and promised follow-ups didn't always happen. The vehicle spent significant time waiting for repairs while I tried to get updates and answers - yes, I was out of a car during Memorial Day weekend. Eventually, I became tired of waiting and decided to have the vehicle inspected by BMW directly, primarily to diagnose the air-conditioning issue. Their inspection revealed multiple coolant leaks, low coolant levels, and leaking front struts. After spending approximately $800 on diagnostics and repairs (including the coolant evac + recharge), the air conditioning finally operated properly. However, BMW also identified several thousand dollars' worth of additional recommended repairs. Wanting a second opinion, I then brought the car to a highly regarded independent BMW specialist. Their inspection identified additional coolant-related issues that BMW had missed, significant oil leakage/seepage, stored fault codes that were not visible on the dashboard, and other mechanical concerns. They repaired an additional coolant-related component that BMW did not identify, and they completed this work for slightly less than BMW's quote. At this point, I have spent roughly $1,800 out of pocket on repairs within the first two months of ownership while contributing less than 750 miles to the car's history. Some of the issues identified across both inspections include coolant leaks, leaking front struts, worn balance-shaft end caps causing oil leakage, a worn-and-ready-to-replace guibo, belt-related service recommendations, wheel concerns, and additional mechanical repairs that could total several thousand dollars. What frustrates me most is that many of these issues appear to have existed long before I purchased the vehicle. The car was presented as being in great condition, yet I am now dealing with a lengthy list of repairs almost immediately after taking ownership. I can accept responsibility for not obtaining my own "external" pre-purchase inspection, but I also don't believe a customer should need to uncover this many significant issues so soon after buying a dealer-sold vehicle represented as being in excellent shape... ya know, despite it being a nine-year old BMW after all. I should've known better, yes. And I did... But alas. To their credit, the Wallingford team has recently been much more responsive. The staff I've spoken with there have, too, been empathetic, professional, and willing to listen. They have offered to perform their own inspection and work with the warranty company to determine what repairs can be covered. I appreciate that effort and remain hopeful they will help bring this situation to a fair resolution. I genuinely love the car. When it's running properly, it's everything I hoped it would be. That's what makes this experience so disappointing. Owning the vehicle has been overshadowed by a constant cycle of inspections, repair appointments, warranty discussions, and unexpected expenses that began almost immediately after purchase. If the dealership ultimately stands behind the vehicle and helps resolve the remaining issues, I will happily update this review again. I sincerely hope that's how this story ends. read more

NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Before my husband purchased his vehicle May 30, we specifically pointed out that the engine was shaking and was assured the issue had been fixed. Within a week, the exact same problem was still present and we had to bring the vehicle back for repairs. The dealership has now had the vehicle since June 8th for two weeks, leaving us without transportation. Throughout this process, communication has been extremely poor. They are refusing to call us back to discuss the repairs, arrange pickup, or offer any accommodation for the inconvenience of being without the vehicle for such a long period of time. They are now telling us the vehicle is ready, but after having a major mechanical issue almost immediately after purchase, we have very little confidence that the problem has actually been resolved. Being left without transportation for weeks and then expected to simply figure out how to retrieve the vehicle myself is unacceptable. We simply requested to Anna that they arrange for the vehicle to be dropped off to me and they refused. They wouldn't even accommodate me to find a way to come pick it up. If this is how customers are treated after the sale, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Every time you call to speak with management they are "tied up" I will be filing a complaint with the DCP and BBB Please don't even bother speaking to Brian he just takes notes and doesn't bother to try and find someone who can help. read more

What started as a pleasant experience has turned sour. While the staff was nice enough during the sales process (and of course, as they want the commission), I was pressured into an overpriced warranty, given a broken key remote with a dead battery- so much so that when I changed the battery it lost the programming. I bought an '08 Lexus GX from them in 5/25. I live 7hrs away and before I drove all that way, wanted to be sure it was going to be worth the drive. I called on two different occasions asking about the frame, and was assured both times that other than typical surface rust it was in fine shape. Conn. doesn't have inspections, but Maine where I live does. When I went to have it inspected it failed due to holes in the frame. Now I have to have frame work done in order for it pass. And schedule another appointment, which because of where I live is very inconvenient . We also discovered that previously paint had been spilled under the back seats which the dealer said he had never noticed though the car had been on the lot for a month, but since it was under the seats we didn't make too big of a deal out of it. They also didn't tell us that the dealer fee was negotiable. I didn't discover that until I got home and read the paper work. When I e-mailed them about it, I never got a response. And to top it off, we got a notice from an insurance company that we had insurance coverage that we never signed for, but was charged to our credit card the dealership used automatically. This place was chaotic. Sales reps were dealing with multiple clients at a time, and would tell us wait just a second and help someone else. The lobby is small and loud. They weren't very open to negotiations. We were there, test drive, handshake, paperwork, etc. for nearly two-and-half hours with no communicated end in sight before we walked away from the deal. The longer the chaos went on, the more and more we distrusted them. When we called to let them know our final decision, our salesman whined about the time he spent with us. Think carefully before buying a car from this store, this store doesn't even deserve one star but I'm forced to give it one, my story at this store was like this. I went to this used car dealership to buy a car for work. I bought it in cash but left with a debt of almost 10k because they charged me very high fees. They made me buy a $2500 warranty. I didn't want to buy it because this warranty didn't cover all the parts. They said I had to buy the warranty and they lied, saying the warranty covered all the parts of the car. To top it off, the car came with several problems, with the air conditioning and the compressor. I went to the dealership more than 4 times to get it repaired, but the car was released to me with the same problems. They replaced the parts but I had to pay because the warranty they sold me didn't cover the parts. And the last time I went to the dealership, the day after I was going to work, my car had a problem with the compressor, a problem that they were supposed to have fixed. My car stopped in the middle of the road because the compressor locked up and caused the engine to overheat, leaving me there for almost 7 hours in the middle of nowhere. I called the dealership to ask for assistance and They were rude to me, they said that I would not receive my car for repairs, they said that this problem was mine because I had bought a used car from them and since then I have spent more than 3k on a car that I have driven less than 5,000 miles since the day I bought it because I am afraid that the car will present new problems. The car was for 19,000 I paid cash 18,300 and they made me finance almost 10k in fees and a warranty that I can never use. All of this was my mistake because I saw them deceive me, lie to me about the car and even so I bought it and signed to buy it, a mistake that I will never make again in my life. read more

Sales team lied to us about the coverage of the wardanty they said we had no choice but to purchase. But we were given a verbal promise that this vehicle is in tip top shape, and that if anything does go wrong, I am fully covered. Then within 2 months of buying our vehicle there was an issue with suspension and steering. Quoted us over $1600 to fix. And explained that the warranty didn't cover the part even though suspension and steering is covered in our warranty. When we declined to have them work on it they offered to negotiate the price. It is discomforting that they were willing to work on the price because to me that means the original quote is purposely over inflated. I would never buy a car from the Milford Dealership. Carlos, the Sales Manager, who runs the dealership is a super shady salesman. i asked him why the car was so cheap, was it an accident? and he said No. When I got to the dealership the car looked like it had been in an accident. There were dents and scrapes on the bumper. There scratches all over the whole car. I told him he was not transparent with me on the phone. He answered, you did not ask me if there were any cosmetic flaws on the car, just if it had been in an accident. He said he was transparent, but he doesn't know what the word means. I called him a liar and he said he never lied. But he lied by omission. I had asked them to send me pictures of the car before I went to see it. None of the cosmetic flaws seem to show up in the pictures. Carlos said I did not take the pictures, but let's face it, he runs the dealership. It flows from the top down. My son bought his first car from them and it has been a nightmare. Interestingly, the smoothest thing was the approval process. Everything else has been absolute hell! The check engine light and vsc light came on day 3. We would call and there was never a response back. After having to change the alternator, serpentine belt and the battery, ALL out of pocket we took it to them as the check engine light was on yet again. They said it was an engine misfire, it needed replacement of a spark plug or coil and they would replace it. We brought it in, it was "replaced", yet that same night the check engine light came on yet again and now the car is running worse than before.
