The happy hour specials had to be asked about, however the bartender/server was very attentive and responsive. I ordered the Mango Cart beer along with the sampler of charbroiled oysters. The bartender also brought out some bread. I had high hopes for the oysters, and although you get a variety, they left me feeling somewhat disappointed. The Rockefeller had way too much spinach, the charbroiled was dry and had too much bread crumbs, the crab stuffed was okay and to my surprise the Diablo was my favorite. I also got some bread pudding which came out pipping hot. It tasted okay although it was too much for one person. Overall I gave the meal 4 stars The next day I came back with friends and we sat in the dining area. This was disastrous. The server let us know she was going to come back and help us after she got the LARGE group next to us taken care of but would put our order in first. Then she forgot about us. Actually told us she had already put their order in and proceeded to take our order. Then she had to come back and confirm (which was wrong) as she didn't write anything down. We started off with an order of crab stuffed mushrooms. Although the stuffing was tasty, as a whole it wasn't something I'd order again. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 - 1/2 poboy and gumbo. Food was just okay. The sandwich was dry, the gumbo was mostly rice. My friend, who we were celebrating, was disappointed with her food. When it came to the table she saw fries and asked was there an option and the server said yes, and she proceeded to ask her what she would have liked instead. However the fish was dry, the shrimp was overcooked and the veggies (that she replaced for the fries) was the highlight of her meal. Unfortunately we also both got sick which we assumed was from the mushrooms as it's the only thing we both had. So this visit gets 2 stars.

The process here (at least when we went) is order at the counter, get seated and then the food is delivered to you. So, service is kind of lacking due to no real waiter/waitress. I got the crawfish etouffee and the bread was really good. The etouffee itself might have been sitting there too long... a definitely some overcooked crawfish but it had a good flavor. Maybe earlier in the day would have been better? Overall, our entrees were fine but neither of us finished them and didn't like them enough to take the rest to go. This place fit the need for dinner but I'd actually recommend the burger place next door for better service and food.

The shrimp étouffée sauce is alright and the shrimp for it is bad. The hushpuppies are meh too. The fries are great. You can request additional sauce like honey mustard. It's kind of out of poorly placed. Like it's in a hotel so it's mainly for the hotel residents to eat at. But additionally, it isn't enclosed so you get the rest of the hotel sounds. They do keep the tables clean. Service was fine. They have a counter for you to order food and you just walk up and ask if you need anything. It just didn't feel like a restaurant of its price point for all the above points.

The potato's and "green beans" (haricots verts) were so amazing and delicious. The dessert was so tasty, I couldn't stop eating. The appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip) was so delicious, I wish it had just a little more spinach in it but overall I loved the chunky artichoke and all the cheese. The chips were a side to it and they appeared freshly baked and super crispy. Heavily seasoned but perfect. Everything was just amazing. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived (around 5p is when they opened) but picked up later in the evening. There is a small bar where happy hour starts around 4p. It was a great experience. The staff was great! Our waiter (Scott) was extremely friendly and had the perfect amount of "checking on us" timing. He wasn't doing too much or too little. He checked on us at the right moments and was extremely patient when we were deciding dessert. He was quick to take our order and got us our food in a timely manner. Everything was just perfect. My husband had a $62 filet mignon that was too spicy and not a good quality. I had the trout. It was ok. I did not like stacking the food.
