The happy hour specials had to be asked about, however the bartender/server was very attentive and responsive. I ordered the Mango Cart beer along with the sampler of charbroiled oysters. The bartender also brought out some bread. I had high hopes for the oysters, and although you get a variety, they left me feeling somewhat disappointed. The Rockefeller had way too much spinach, the charbroiled was dry and had too much bread crumbs, the crab stuffed was okay and to my surprise the Diablo was my favorite. I also got some bread pudding which came out pipping hot. It tasted okay although it was too much for one person. Overall I gave the meal 4 stars The next day I came back with friends and we sat in the dining area. This was disastrous. The server let us know she was going to come back and help us after she got the LARGE group next to us taken care of but would put our order in first. Then she forgot about us. Actually told us she had already put their order in and proceeded to take our order. Then she had to come back and confirm (which was wrong) as she didn't write anything down. We started off with an order of crab stuffed mushrooms. Although the stuffing was tasty, as a whole it wasn't something I'd order again. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 - 1/2 poboy and gumbo. Food was just okay. The sandwich was dry, the gumbo was mostly rice. My friend, who we were celebrating, was disappointed with her food. When it came to the table she saw fries and asked was there an option and the server said yes, and she proceeded to ask her what she would have liked instead. However the fish was dry, the shrimp was overcooked and the veggies (that she replaced for the fries) was the highlight of her meal. Unfortunately we also both got sick which we assumed was from the mushrooms as it's the only thing we both had. So this visit gets 2 stars.

Drinks here are pretty affordable and you get all the favorite cocktails like the Hurricane and Hand Grenade. Drink at your own risk cause they are powerful and pack a punch. You may get some sass from the bartender but it's all in good fun. As for food, whatever cajun bar eat you're looking for, it's here. Boudin stuff, po boys, muffelettas, and the gumbo/red beans & rice/jambalaya are all delicious here. Everything I've tried here is awesome. The loaded mac & cheese is one of my favorites; get it fully loaded with the boudin and crawfish; OMG! Vibes here scream cajun college bar with some sassy fun bartenders and a variety of patrons here. I've seen college students, business folks, blue-collar workers, soccer moms having a ladies night, and teachers unloading through refills of wine and hurricanes. We ordered the game day nachos and a sausage poboy. The app took 10 minutes and the sandwich 14 minutes later. The nachos were tasty ($14) but I didn't care for the Gator Andouille poboy. It was too salty. The bread to meat ratio was way off. ($14) Beers are pricey, but the live music is free. So that's a trade off. We stayed till about 9pm enjoying the music.

The parking lot is a mess. The employees are rude. But the most unbelievable part is that they somehow make it difficult to order food that is actually listed on their own menu. Instead, I am told to buy the 3-shrimp plate four times because management refuses to sell customers the quantity they want. That is not customer service. That is nonsense. When I asked for half a dozen stuffed shrimp, I was told I would need to purchase two separate $20 meals for a total of $40. Yet the menu clearly lists a half-dozen order for $32. Why should I pay an extra $8 for food I never asked for and do not want? The entire situation is ridiculous. I am sick and tired of excuses, confusion, and incompetence. This establishment has fallen so far from the reputation built by F&H and Pete Harris that it is almost unrecognizable. I am done with this place permanently. Until they fix their customer service, their ordering process, and their overall attitude toward customers, people should spend their money elsewhere.
