Captive customers waiting for the next ferry to St. Johns.
    Michael K.

Let's see now...convenient (kitty-corner from the ferry ticket office), surprisingly quick, local beers (not all that good though), tourist rum drinks, hot dogs, candy and coffee at inflated prices. What else are you going to do while waiting for the next ferry.

The bar tender was very cruel and dismissive to my daughter when she placed her bar order. It doesn't cost anything to be nice.

Hand down the best place to eat in the area. It's very small, but packs a punch with great customer service, cool drinks and outstanding food. Best to try and get in on their off hours to get a table without a wait. We literally ate here 4 times when we were on the island. An absolute MUST to order is their Bacon Jalapeno tater kegs! OMG-They're the bomb! Wings are decent and the burgers are juicy, flavorful and delicious! You really can't go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu. Everything is made fresh to order. The decor is island themed chaos in every fun way possible. If you happen to have to use the restroom it's located outside (customs ONLY) The key ring they'll hand you is a toilet lid! LOL You can ring in another way too! On your trip to the john, call in sick to work and stay on the island! You're enticed too by the retro phone sitting a top a keg outdoors as well. Great photo opts! Happy Hour is daily! The Love Shack offers particular deals with half-priced cocktails. We did Margs on Monday! Signature drinks include the 50oz Volcano Drink, Shark Attack, and souvenir cocktails like the Pirates Booty in a ceramic mugs. FYI- They may attach a certain creature to your glass also. Perfect vibe, casual dinning and great accommodations by the staff (for our big party) who were so friendly and professional. This is a must experience spot when visiting St Thomas.

Duffy's provides free parking which is a rarity and right at noon, the mall lot had tons of open spots. We both ordered burgers, one with the standard fries and one with onion rings. It took a good half hour for the food to be delivered but when we got it, it was hot and cooked to our specs. Fries were crispy. Burger was thick with a nice crisp, almost tasted like a smash burger but thicker. Service was good. It was the one spot where we didn't have to pay for a refill of soda. They were playing the best music! No waitlist or host so you have to linger and wait for someone to leave if you need a table and they are full. Great stop.

Pelicans Beach Bar is dangerously good at making cocktails go in and having the fun come out of you! $5 mix drinks, $4 beers, $8 crafted frozen all day for happy hour! This little 7 seat bar at the Ritz Carlton Resort is the farthest down the beach next to the serenity pool. Shhhhhhhhh......be quiet.....yea right when happy hour is all day and your bartenders are mad cool! Not sure of why they put this next to the "library" section of the resort but this bar just opened up in November. Our bartender Alex and her side kick Ryan were awesome compliments to the beachy view of St. John and our delicious cocktails. My favorites were the Lilikoi Mango Mojito and Caribbean Fiesta (not on menu but Alex knows of how to make them). For those Patron lovers like my hubby, try the Sandy Day, he loved it! Sushi is Japanese for yummylicious! Pelicans Beach Bar expands (seating wise) during the evening to a few 4 tops for an all you can eat sushi pig out session every Wednesday from 5p-8p for $45! Thursday's is taco day from 5p-8p with unlimited rice, beans, chips and salsa! You've already tortured yourself in dieting to get into bikini ready shape, let this sushi and taco fun be your free pass to choose your love of food, over not wanting to get fat! If staying at the Ritz these two nights should be checked out. If you don't want to chillax under the stars while listening to music next to tiki torches, you can box up your grub and take it back to your room. Tacos and sushi not your thing? You can order from Coconut Cove, another restaurant on the resort and they'll deliver your food to you at this bar. If not staying at the Ritz, great bay beach, which Pelicans Beach Bar sits on is actually a public beach. There is hidden free public beach parking past the main hotel lobby port cochere and down a steep road. Pictures attached show the way. My only complaint is that the bathroom locations seem like the distance needed to get to St. John. But that's the laziness (aka selective participation) in me that gets stronger with each cocktail! Cheers!

Drinks are only $8-$10 each, so we were at this spot several times per day. Really made our trip and stay at the Ritz Residences more enjoyable. After a fishing trip, the guys and I all stopped in for a bite. We all ended up getting burgers, because they sounded so good, and fries. Standing alone, the burgers are tasty. Add to them some of the hot sauces they have on hand and WOW, incredible. The serving sizes are well proportioned too. And while the menu isn't huge I can bet there isn't a bad thing on it. The decor is exactly what you'd want from a lunch/dinner/bar establishment. You feel right at home rolling in here in board shorts and flip flops for a beer and a bite. It was just the vibe we were looking for after a day out on the water hooking sharks and other assorted fish. To top it off, our waitress was friendly and had the perfect amount of punctuality. Bernie's is the type of spot that I love so I'm a fan. I'd recommend it for a pop-in while out and about and would even say it's worth a return visit.

The Vessup especially stood out, the cream on top was so smooth and delicious and just made the whole drink. They brought out fresh bread to start and it was so good (always a win in my book). For dinner, we went with the lobster with potato and broccolini and it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were just on point. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dinners on the trip. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little nicer but still with that island feel.
