These weren't the typical crab cakes that rely on breadcrumbs and filler. Instead, they were packed with sweet, fresh crab meat and just enough binder to hold everything together. That's exactly how a crab cake should be. When I am vacationing in the Outer Banks, I eat at O'Neal's several days a week. My favorite is the tilefish basket, when they have it, with fried okra. A second favorite is the fried shrimp basket.
