While they were eating, a server approached and asked if the prescription glasses on the edge of the table belonged to my mother because another customer had reported her Versace sunglasses as missing. My mother explained that the glasses were hers, they were prescription tinted lenses -- not sunglasses -- and definitely not Versace. The server came back two additional times, asking if she was "sure" the glasses were hers. Again, she confirmed that they were. The server then approached her table for a THIRD time and brought the other customer over to check for herself. The other customer confirmed the glasses belonged to my mother. All of this happened in front of a restaurant full of people. It was invasive, disrespectful, and completely out of line. Things started off fine with drinks and appetizers, but after that, the service slowed to a crawl. It took a long time just to place our entrées, and then we waited ages for the food to arrive. When it finally came out, three of our steaks that were ordered medium came out well-done. However, our waitress was extremely apologetic and did not charge me for my plate and another. I recognized her from my very first time here at The Depot, where she was also my server and provided an amazing experience! Even though she handled the situation graciously and we weren't charged, we were still finally leaving by 7:00 PM because of the extensive wait. I'm so disappointed because my first experience here was wonderful, I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen, but the pacing definitely needs improvement.
