The server (who we found out at the end was new) was messing up immediately just delivering drinks. Then when it was time to receive our food, several people from our party was left waiting for their food because the order was put in wrong... Then bill time came. Everyone gave their payment methods. I waited until she had less transactions to make (if you know about being charged for incorrect amounts) and she still messed up. I gave her my card and my bill. She ran my card, and returned it. I signed it and left the table because I knew gratuity was already included. Minutes later, I'm being threatened with the POLICE being called because the server didn't charge me the full price for my meal and started accusing me of trying to skip out on my bill. All in front of other patrons. It was humiliating. I paid the remainder (although not legally required to by law) because it was a mistake on her part, not mine (she had my card for 10 minutes). No accountability was taken on the restaurants part and I will never eat there again. I was so disappointed after enjoying my meal.

My only complaint with the food is that the sauces can be a little overwhelming for my taste, so I usually request them on the side. I've always loved the majority of the staff and have had great experiences with them. Unfortunately, my experience at the bar last night was very different. I sat at the bar, ordered a water, and was given a menu. About 15 minutes later, the bartender asked if I wanted something else to drink, but never asked if I wanted to order food. A gentleman sat down to my left after I had already been there for quite a while. I watched him order a cocktail, order his food, eat his entire meal, and still hadn't been asked if I wanted anything to eat. I'm not one to complain, but that level of inattentiveness was hard to overlook. I'll definitely continue to give Huck's a chance because I enjoy the food and most of the staff, but I hope the bar service was just an off night.

Everyone who works here is absolutely lovely, attentive and helpful. The space itself is very unique, which I also love. The food on the other hand, not my preference. I've tried so many things over time and nothing really stood out to me. I've had the warm seafood pita, growing up on the gulf, we didn't eat imitation seafood. I eat kani when I eat sushi, but that's about it. So I was a little turned off by the fake crab in my sandwich. I also had their philly, it's not really what you'd expect for such a sandwich. Again, knowing where I can get a really great one, this wouldn't be my first choice. The prices are super reasonable though.
