After being seated our server came and introduced himself as Nick. I could sense immediately Nick was no novice. He was genuine, made eye contact, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took our beverage order and returned with our drinks and took our entree orders. Anytime he was serving other diners in our section he stopped by the table to see if we needed anything . He didn't miss a thing! Nick brought our entrees to our table, not a food runner giving him another opportunity to provide excellent service for anything else we might need to keep service at a high level. My wife had a tossed salad, Chicken Tenders , and a perfectly baked potato. I ordered a tossed salad, medium rare New York Strip, and a fluffy baked potato. Both our entrees were executed expertly: crispy, juicy, and tender chicken tenders and a perfect med rare steak! Between the Rock Star service Nick delivered and perfectly prepared entrees Texas Roadhouse knocked this one out of the park with a grand slam! The tomatoes were especially fresh and good for this time of year. The server was very attentive. I know she had a lot of tables, but she took care of me perfectly. Serving sizes are large, and I should also add that the bread is really, really good and comes out hot with real butter. Honestly, when I get margarine in a restaurant, that's a big knock for me. I know butter costs a little more, but it makes a big difference. The bread was perfectly cooked, soft on the inside with a nice little bit of a crunch to it. I'd characterize it as kind of a wheat bread with maybe a little bit multi-grains added in... but it was pretty standard wheat but very delicious. I have eaten at Longhorn locations all over the US and they are for the most part always consistent. On this visit, I was seated after about ten minutes and since I'm familiar with the food, I ordered right away. I started with the Shrimp and Lobster chowder which is a favourite of mine and for my main course, I had the Flo's Filet, Medium rare with a side of roasted corn on the cobb and grilled shrimp.
