We were greeted kindly at our arrival and seated immediately. Our waitress, Patty, was at our table within seconds. She was extremely sweet and very attentive and returned frequently to the table to check on us and offer drink refills. Our food arrived quickly, was hot, and was perfectly fine. No, it is not fine dining, but that's not what we were looking for. Best of all was the check, which was incredibly reasonable for what we got. After coming from the Bay Area, we Officially found our go to spot for Cajun seafood. This place is always consistent with the flavor, sauce and spiciness. Restaurant is big and has lots if seating, it is clean and the floor doesn't feel sticky or oily. We usually order for pickup and it's always ready on time. We were disappointed with our experience at Captain Crab. We drove approximately 30 minutes each way to pick up our takeout order. After getting home and opening the food, we realized the order was incorrect. When we contacted the restaurant, owner Andy told us we would need to bring the food back before a refund could be issued. He did say it did not need to be returned the same day, but this still requires another long round trip entirely because of the restaurant's mistake. What made the situation frustrating is that the food had already been opened to discover the issue, and California Health & Safety Code §114079 generally recognizes that returned food that has left a customer's possession cannot be re-served for human consumption. We offered to provide photos and proof of the incorrect order and hoped for a more customer-friendly resolution considering the distance involved. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. The real issue is how they are handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed with the level of customer service and inconvenience involved in resolving an order error that was not our fault. read more

They didn't even have any hot sauce other than TAPATIO.... Like what? Where's the siracha and crystal? It's fish! I don't want no TAPATIO.. We also got fried cheese sticks and fried calamari and oysters.. all of it tasted so frozen and some weren't even cooked all the way in the middle. Lastly, we ordered the famous low country boil with cajun and lemon pepper medium hot. It came with an egg, potato, corn, shrimp, crab legs and sausage. I had been driving past this location for almost year since it opened and decided to finally stop in! So glad I did. There is plenty of parking. We went in on a Saturday afternoon around 2p and we were seated right away. The restaurant is super spacious and there was plenty of room for our baby stroller next to our table. Our waitress came over right away to take our drink orders. I decided to start with a cocktail and got the Dusse sidecar. It was 10/10 amazing. We started with the shrimp appetizer which was excellent. We both decided to get seafood boils which also came out excellent. I was so surprised to see that they had blue crab as an option! Definitely 10 stars for Patryce! We came in last night for dinner around 7 pm. Plenty of parking as they have a large lot and we were able to get in right away. Patryce was our server and she is First Class! She had a great smile and awesome personality. She was professional, friendly and she helped with our questions on the menu as this was our first time. We both ordered the Famous Low Country Boil. It has 1 pound of carb, 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of sausage, potato, corn and hard boiled egg. We also ordered a side of rice and bread. The food came out quickly and was so fun to open your bag and eat. They give you gloves and bibs to stay clean and lots of napkins! Food was delicious. UPDATE: I got food poisoning from here. I started throwing up violently within an hour of eating here. Horrible food!!! I ordered calamari basket with fries. We also ordered bread. The calamari was rings which were over cooked and extremely rubbery. The fries were as expected. The bread was toasted but cold when we received it. The soda tasted heavily with chlorine. This is by far the worst review I have ever given. The waitress was great. At first we were seated by a screaming toddler.
