We have been going here a few times a month since they opened. The seafood boil which I get is always fresh and delicious. If I have one complaint, is that they don't seem to weigh the crab legs before cooking... they just automatically grab one claw for a half pound, and two claws for a full pound. I know when you buy a pound from a store it's always 3 claws... two pounds is 6 claws, etc. Their lack of fairness in this regard may be their downfall, as I've heard others complain about their small crab leg portions. And that would be sad, as their food is otherwise amazing. Please don't nickel and dime yourselves out of business! read more

I got the choose 2 combo, fried shrimp, and fried oysters. Both were excellent! I also had sweet potato fries, which were also delicious! Our server was Erin. She kept our teas full, and brought us plenty of condiments! It's a nice, clean Louisiana/Cajun place. I will be back! read more

I had the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were large and the batter very tasty. The interior was very nice with a recent remodel. The waitress was very nice but the service was very slow even when it was not busy. I never got a drink refill and had to wait on my check. This place is awesome!!! Best seafood in Knoxville!!! Popcorn crawfish had a great flavor. They were tender. Snow crab legs & shrimp boil was great. Very flavorful. Messy just the way you think a good boil would be. Fried shrimp were big. They were not rubbery at all. Clam strips were tender season just right. Calamari was great. super tender not chewy at all. I knew something was off about the food when I went there. I only went once which I love seafood so that should say a lot. It didn't taste right, and it didn't have good flavor. A server there actually ended up telling me why the food doesn't tastes right after we became friends. The food isn't properly handled temperature wise, sanitation wise, and he reuses food from leftovers that are brought back from other people's plates. Oysters are left out all day until someone orders them. He will even reuse left over drinks that are brought back. He makes his employees use food that falls on the floor as well. The health department needs to check into this place. read more

We ordered the boil to share between 4 adults: 2 pounds of snow crab legs, 1 pound of shrimp (head off), 1/2 pound of sausage, add extra 1 order of potatoes, and 1 order of corn. We opted for the Garlic Butter, which has Cajun Seasoning mixed in, and asked for Medium Heat Spicy. IT WAS PERFECTION! It worked out to be approximately $25 per person, and we all ate until we were full! Layla was our server; she never let our cups get below half full. She provided excellent service! Good Food. Bad Atmosphere. Right from the start when we walked in the host seemed less than pleased to be there or that we were there. She walked us to our table like a snail and barely said anything to us. Same with our waitress she barely spoke to us, did the bare minimum and had no smile no spark no service attitude what so ever. The entire dining room was drab. It was quiet in there, no others tables seemed to be enjoying themselves. The music was very low. You could literally hear people's conversations or a pen drop. I want to start by saying, this place has the full potential to get a higher rating. I love the menu options and the crabs legs were cooked PERFECTLY. The restaurant overall was dirty inside (especially to be so new.) The lobby had $10 fold out chairs. If these things were fixed, it would definitely get a higher rating. The crab legs were great! I had the garlic and old bay seasoning. We had Seafood Boil and the third person had shrimp (4th chicken wings). The atmosphere was good--they've taken a Denny's and taken it out to see. Justice was a good waitress--very attentive and nice. Two of us live in Knoxville and us in Kingsport. But we'll all be back! Your food was ok, but for the price of food, it was not enough food. Everything was extra down to the bread. The notes on front door (don't touch glass) was a turn off. The staff was standing around and had time to clean glass. Not very professional. Our server was ok, came to our table one time. When he left bill, he just set it down and left. He never stopped walking. I probably want be back. I would really like to see a restaurant do well in that area. I guess it boils down to I paid $14.00 for the shrimp basket, it had 8 reasonable size shrimp and a basket full of fries. I really wanted to love this place. It's brand new, so I understand they're still finding their rhythm, and I'm willing to give it another shot--maybe trying more than just the crawdads next time. I ordered crawdads and fried pickles, but both were overcooked. The fried pickles were almost as hard as a rock, and the crawfish took way too long to get the meat out--considering how little meat there is, it shouldn't be that difficult. That said, the flavor was good, so I'm hopeful the next visit will have better cooking. I'm definitely open to trying again, possibly ordering a wider variety. First time going here. Hate to say it but storming crab is better. Not so sure the half pounds and pounds were actually really accurate measurements compared to storming crab. Second time eating here. 1st take out and 2nd eating there. I really have no complaints about the food but the service is terrible. Our server never smiled 1 time. We always said thank you when she brought us anything, not even a you're welcome. Took an hour to get our food, because waiting on fried food. Was told too many customers for 4 fryers. I'm sorry, does a business prefer less customers..because you Captain Crap will not have our business again so that's 4 less you have to worry about. I was extremely disappointed. The manager was rude and nasty to our kids who had their phone chargers plugged into an outlet. A different delivery would've gone a long way. First, the server forgot the appetizer; how does that happen, we got it to go! Then, we ordered the "2 or 3 item choose which was 8) Tilapia and 4) Gumbo Shrimp and the Lobster and Shrimp Boil. When the food finally came the it was 4) small pieces of Tilapia and 2) small shrimp that was un seasoned. The boil was unseasoned as well and the bottom of the bag was filled with some thick "mucky paste". However, we should have sent it all back and left!
