This was supposed to be a chill romantic sunset dinner, but I'm sitting in my hotel room the next day with stomach problems from the dinner so I had to leave a review. First off, there's too many people on the boat. If you don't grab a good seat immediately, you're stuck hanging off the sides and trying a spot to sit down and eat. You will also get wet, very very wet. They have to drive fast to get to the cool picture spots, and then drive even faster to get back for the short sunset spot. The food was not good, hence the being stuck on the toilet the next morning. Overall, it's way too expensive to be regretting going. read more

This is a nice way to visit the Na'pali coast. But depending on the sea state and where you decide to sit be ready to get wet...very wet. They pounded up to the half way point then turn around and serve dinner. Dinner was not great so I wouldn't advise going hungry. Crew was excellent and I think they tried to make the trip pleasurable. At the end of the day it's a bit expensive and they pack the people in. But the view of the coast was beautiful. read more

Super organized and awesome staff. Boat could have been cleaner. Lots of hair around which was nasty. The scenery is beyond fantastic and the 4 hour trip is definitely worth it. The lunch looked really good but I got motion sick and fed the fish so didn't eat. If you go on this for sure take some kind of motion sickness meds. I have never experienced it in my life on anything. I've been on boats, cruises etc but this hit different. Don't take your chances be prepared. I wasn't the only one feeding the fish. if your young and fun you will get the best seats - if you are a senior citizen you will be afforded a standing position next to the side and have to stand while sea sick with no thought given to you by the staff. No attempt to move the teen agers out of the seats they occupied the whole cruise. Also cruising for whales - saw one whale and they said that was all that was needed to not give a refund. I discovered I wasn't much of a seaman on this cruise. We did the 5.5 hour snorkel BBQ tour up the Na Pali coast. It was gorgeous scenery to be sure. First time I saw Niihau and Lehua island in person too, albeit a bit far away. It's just not the smoothest ride when we were going against the current up the Na Pali Coast (north bound). Will I repeat? Nope. Found out I'm not much of a seaman. About 3 hours or so into it I was feeling a little sea sick. But would I recommend this to someone that wants to go on a day cruise up the Na Pali coast? Yes, totally. Which explains my 5-star rating. It's beautiful. You can find photos everywhere about what it looks like. It's also the only way to see the Na Pali coast in person other than helicopter or a long hike. I think it's one of those things to try at least once and it's safer than a helicopter to me. The staff and captain were friendly, the food was good (didn't finish all of it for concern about being sea sick), and the boat itself was spacious enough that the 40 or so of us were not squished together through the tour. I think Capt Andy's is the biggest boat tour operator on Kauai, so there is that to be said. If you need cold water or other cold non-alcoholic drinks, those were available to us throughout the tour. Alcohol was available only after snokeling was pau. And the staff is trained to help you in the event that you start feeling sea sick. Outside of the seasickness, we definitely enjoyed the experience and recommend it! read more

Went on the sunset cruise with my older (over 75) parents and the crew were so incredibly nice. Candida, especially, made sure we were doing ok and checking on us. She was also the chef and the food was great. The appetizers were delicious (large shrimp on skewer and goat cheese crostini) and dessert was amazing (key lime cheesecake). The boat is very nice with lots of seating and the views are beautiful. It can get choppy especially when the boat goes fast. We saw other boats out and Capt Andy's boat was bigger and nicer. My brother and I had a fantastic time with the crew on Capt Andy's boat tour. We did the early morning snorkel, BBQ tour. We saw loads of fish and even turtles! Later we saw a school of dolphins. The coast is a must-see!! Larry the captain was knowledgeable and helped explain the history of the island. Logan and Roland were also knowledgeable, and helped with photos and getting drinks if you wanted one - open bar! Chef D made the most fantastic burgers for lunch and was also helpful throughout the tour. And Dida was also so wonderful and friendly when i was setting up the tour. I don't know what else to say other than AMAZING. In 2019 we did the Nāpali sunset tour (amazing) with Captain Andy's and in April 2025 we did the Zodiac tour. I've been lucky to see much of the world and this may have been the single best experience I've had anywhere. Our trip isn't even over just yet as I'm writing this, but this tour was THAT good!!! We did the Na Pali Coast Cave Expedition and I can't fully express in words how awesome this was. Not only was the coast and the caves absolutely Stunning, but the entire boat ride was incredible! So fast, but full of fun. Our crew Maddie and Sawyer were both incredible and made the experience even that much more fun, from chatting with them to dancing to really some fun tunes as we sped through the sea. I think my favorite part aside from all the dolphins was our brief swim stops. The water was so clear and so refreshing. It's not often you can swim that deep, it was really freeing. Be prepared to get wet, no matter where you sit. The length of time for this trip is so worth it. We did so much in 6 hours. Khoa and Mark, who was the chef, took great care of everyone on board, and the young girl whose name I unfortunately can't remember was also fantastic--attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The food was delicious and perfectly complemented the adventure. One of the highlights of the day was snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. The crew provided all the necessary snorkel gear and fins, making it easy for everyone to dive right in. We saw an abundance of colorful fish and even had the incredible luck of spotting a couple of sea turtles gliding gracefully through the water. It was such a peaceful and awe-inspiring experience to be surrounded by the vibrant marine life. One of favorite adventures when visiting Kauai is a Na Pali coast tour with Capt Andy! We have been twice and both times the crew has been phenomenal! They make sure everyone has an amazing time and caters to all your needs. Today we had Captain Baron, Donovan, Anya, and Chef Jimmy. We saw dolphins, snorkeled, learned some great Kauai history, and had a delicious lunch cooked while we sailed. Our daughter fell asleep before lunch and they packaged up her burger and surprised her with some extra Mac nut cookies. This will always be on our to do list when we visit. read more

Obviously captain Andy's didn't carve our the stunning views of the coast but the crew made our experience the best!! Captain Lynn was so sweet and knowledgeable. This year was our 4th trip with Captain Andy's since 2016. Rack year, we have had a mix of different family members with us, and everyone agrees. This is a highlight of the whole trip. The boats are always nice and clean. The crews are always engaged and looking out for safety while being fun at the same time. They provide good snorkle gear and instruction. The experience will already be remembered by all who attend. The food is great, and the open bar after people are safely out of the water is a plus for those who partake. This year's crew killed it. Micha, Logan, and Larry were awesome. Logan was especially fun for everyone. That dude is the life of the party x10. It was impressive seeing him engage and entertain so many guests but at the same time constantly making sure people have refills if they need, helping people with their trash like he's collecting gold pieces, and at the same time always watching and quickly reacting to assist people for safety on the boat. His quick safety interactions were always his first priority. It was our sons birthday, and the crew did a great job calling him out and having everyone sing to him. Went on the Na Pali snorkel raft tour and had an amazing time! We had Captains Robert and Devin and loved all the info they shared while we cruised up the coast. It was a bit cloudy and drizzling at the beginning of our tour so we didn't get to snorkel or enter the caves, but they did their best to accommodate by taking us to a calm area to swim and getting us close to the cliffs and shoreline. The current was very strong, but they were super skilled at maneuvering the raft and I felt safe the whole time! Nice that we had snacks (chips, soda and juice, and fresh pineapple) during our stop too. Communication was great and it was always easy to reach them prior to our tour if we had questions. Nothing but good things to say about our tour and this company. Note: they lend you a water proof bag that keeps your belongings dry, so no need to buy this before you go on the raft tour! read more

We have Captain Robert take us and we had so much fun, he took us on a fun bumpy ride, spotted some whales first thing once we were out and also some dolphins and a few sea turtles. He then gave us a tour along the coast and showed us some fun movie spots. We had a snorkeling break and got to swim in the reef and see some cool fish, which was followed by a snack break on the boat before we headed back home. Can not recommend this boat tour enough!!! We went on the morning ride on a day where the water was going to be too rough for our original route, so the crew pivoted and took us to the south side which was amazing. Everyone on the boat was so fun and attentive, they knew our names and made sure we always had a drink in hand (if we wanted!). We swam in a couple of great spots and they had good food and music playing the whole time. We even saw several turtles and whales and captain tom had tons of cool fun facts for us. I would recommend this for people of all ages, and it was especially fun for a family of 5 with three adult children. This is the best way to spend a half of a day in Kauai, and worth every penny! read more

My family of five booked this reservation about a week before visiting Kauai. We decided to do the morning tour which started at 9:30 and ended at 4 PM. We arrived at the given location, which was by a small boat harbor and parked under the palm trees. The crew was on time and we were given a detailed briefing of our day which included safety tips and important rules to follow. We left the dock at 10 AM and started our boat ride down the Napali coast. The boat ride itself was super exhilarating and requires a good amount of physical strength to stay on board. Just a fair warning, your body will be sore at the very end of the tour, but that seems to be a common thing with all passengers. Our captains, Captain Robert and Keanu were both very knowledgeable and fun to be around. They made our experience that much more memorable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! We were taken out to various caves and stopped along the coast and were given a brief history of each location. We spotted a couple hundred dolphins and were able to take plenty of pictures of them jumping around our boat. Towards the end of our tour, we docked at a remote, private beach landing and we were able to snorkel along the reef for about 45 minutes. After our group finished snorkeling, we were given lunch, which included a tasty ham sandwich, fresh pineapple, pasta, and a delicious cookie. After lunch, we walked around the private beach with Keanu and experienced beautiful scenery along the coast and learned about the ancient Hawaiians who once lived there. The views were absolutely breathtaking and didn't look real! It took about an hour to go back to the dock from the private beach. Some important tips to note: bring plenty of sunscreen. If you are using the aerosol sunscreen, you must spray it into your hand and rub it onto your body. Bring a small water bottle. The tour does include ice cold beverages so you don't have to worry about bringing a whole bunch. Wear swimwear like clothing and don't forget to bring a towel. I wouldn't recommend you wearing sneakers unless they are water shoes. If you are snorkeling, they do not allow the full face masks as it is a safety hazard for the tour, but they do provide snorkel gear, which we ended up using and worked very well. Sit in front of the boat if you want to get the full experience of the boat ride but be courteous to share the experience with the other passengers on board. ***Tip your captains as they do an amazing job at keeping you safe and making sure your experience is one of the best things you'll do in Kauai! Overall 11/10 recommend this experience when visiting the beautiful island of Kauai! read more

What a fun adventure exploring the Kauai island. We parked at the parking area by Captain Andy's office at the Port Allen Marina Center. They had hot coffee and tea available for all guests. The friendly staff checked us in for our picnic tour. Due to stormy weather conditions, our route changed and were restricted to safer parts of the island, which we were grateful for, as safety comes first. Captain Lynn was terrific. Great leader who played cool jams on the tour!! She made sure everyone had a great time while maintaining a safe environment for all. We had excellent crew members, Denver, Logan and Chef Mark. There was homemade granola bars and fresh fruit available when we arrived on the catamaran. The crew also served us fresh juice and drinks with breakfast. It was a five hour tour that seemed short as our time on the catamaran went by quickly. We learned about the history of the island while taking in all the breathtaking views. After our snorkeling time, we enjoyed beer and wine with our wonderful lunch prepared by Chef Mark. The choices were burgers, grilled chicken and vegetarian served with baked beans and homemade coleslaw. Chef Mark even accommodated one of our guests who has a low-sodium diet restriction. Even though we did not get to see Napili, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and time with Captain Lynn and her wonderful crew!! read more

Our family took the Na Pali Raft Day Expedition on Aug. 4, 2025 - it was the highlight of our week in Kauai. Unbelievable. From our grandsons (age 6 and 8) to the elders (70's), the 8 of us loved every minute. There was so much - awesome views, exciting ride, sea caves, the chance to see the ancient Hawaiian fishing village, and surprises like seeing spinning dolphins (not usually seen in the afternoon) and swimming sea turtles.
