It's definitely rare to find a 5 star restaurant on yelp nowadays, but it's not hard to see why this place deserves the 5 stars. The owner is such a character - he's very personable and comes to check on you and make sure that your order is everything you're asking for. I've also been more into coffee lately and really appreciate the fact that they have great gourmet coffee here rather than your standard diner coffee. So good that I actually bought some beans to make some at home. Their brunch/lunch menu is quite varied as well, especially with some great fresh salads (the Destin and the Ocean salads are on point), yummy sandwiches on freshly house-made bread, and light crepes. This place is a go to for a refreshing and light lunch! The prices are decent and the service is great. The food is delicious - and I love supporting small mom and pop shops. I discovered this place a few years back when I was out on Walk. I probably would have never stopped otherwise as it does not stand out. The workers are all friendly and the owner makes sure everything is running in tip top shape. The food is aaaamazing. All of it! We haven't found anything on the menu that we did not like. I have been coming to Destin for 5 years and have always wanted to try this spot, so I finally did, and I can definitely say I will be back next year. The location is super convenient, just a short walk from many of the condos on the beach. The owner is so friendly and really makes the experience. I got an iced coffee and a chocolate chip muffin! This place definitely lives up to it's high ratings. While vacationing here, we decided we wanted something light for lunch since we usually went all out for dinners. We did some Yelp searched and decided on this quaint little deli. Its right off Hwy 98, close to all the hustle and bustle, but far enough to feel like you are not in a touristy area. We arrived at lunch and there was a little line, but it moved fast. We were worried we wouldn't have a place to sit, but luckily a spot opened up in time. The service was excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. On to the food. We ordered a little variety of things. As far as sandwiches go, witht he staffs recommendations, we went with the Mortadella di Bologna and the Cotto & Cheese. Basically a fancy bologna sandwich and ham sandwich. It definitely wasn't Oscar Meyer and both were delicious. They were both served with chips as well. We also tried the Firenze crepe, which had eggs, spinach and cheese. It was a nice, tasty, light crepe and perfect for lunch. We rounded out the meal with a delicious Chicken Caesar Salad. Everything we had hit the spot, and didn't weigh me down. My mother and I recently stopped in for breakfast. She had a fruit crepe (gluten free) and I had the ham & cheese, gluten free as well. This is ONLY my second time having a crepe and actually loved this savory version. The chef had concocted his own hot sauce to pair and kindly asked if I'd like to try some. Of course I did & It was amazing! I kept switching off between the vinegar they'd provided and the chefs special hot sauce. The service was incredible, everyone was extremely friendly and talkative (but not too much, if you know what I mean). Another new restaurant in Destin. If you have read my ratings before you know that I only have two ratings: they are I will never go back or I can't wait to go back. This restaurant falls into the I can't wait to go back. The restaurant's menu is very creative and the atmosphere is awesome. The seafood is fresh and prepared exactly in a way that appeals to me which is sautéed. Most places that have great entrées sometimes miss their mark on appetizer salads and desserts. Not at this restaurant as they knocked it out of the park in every area of the menu. The service from the staff is exquisite also. Many of the members of the staff come from the cruise industry. It's good, just good. I think the reason for the consistent 5 stars are simply because Marco ,the owner, and his staff were SO nice and engaging . This coffee shop has all the feels of "local" and relaxed. I'm extremely glad I found this breakfast/lunch eatery on Yelp before our vaca was over. The elderly gentleman who owns and runs this small breakfast/lunch spot runs the front counter (taking orders), and he is an absolute sweetheart (forget his name). He chatted with my mother and I telling us about his travels and what he loves about Destin. A younger gal was manning their espresso/drinks area. The menu here is short and concise. We specifically came to try their crepes, and they have a breakfast croissant sandwich that also caught my eye. I tried their Campagna stuffed crepe and added a baked egg to it for extra protein. So, so, soooo good! I loved that this crepe allowed the veggies, egg and cheese shine on their own, and it wasn't drowned in a sauce. The lightly seasoned sautéed sliced zucchini and mushrooms were especially flavorful. There's front patio seating outside - the inside isn't terribly large - it was wonderful eating outside in the sun. If I make a trip back down to Destin, I plan to stop at Capriccio's to suck in some of the friendly relaxing vibes here. read more
