We were welcomed as soon as we came in, and the baristas were so busy but still got drinks out quickly. My latte was delicious, and the crepes the group of people next to us got also looked amazing! I came here for coffee 3 days in a row during my recent stay in Destin. I was immediately greeted by the owner and felt welcomed each morning upon entering the restaurant. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had and I learned that the owner is from Italy so he clearly knows what he's doing! I had both the Southern Pecan and Snowflake pour overs. While I enjoyed both, the Snowflake was my favorite as it contained flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, and hazelnut. I didn't try any of the food, but every order that came out looked fresh and tasty. Capriccio Cafe in Destin is delicious! We had crepes and coffees before heading out for a flight on Tuesday, and they were great! We also had our 1.5 year old in tow, and the staff and owner treated her like royalty. My husband had the maple crepe and praised it as "just like his grandmother used to make." I had the Firenze savory crepe (egg, cheese, spinach), and it was fantastic! We each had different coffees over the hour+ we spent there (cappuccino, cafe au lait, peppermint mocha, and fresh brewed dark), and the little enjoyed a couple of rounds of whole milk. She only took two bites the blueberry muffin, so the husband and I *had to* finish it. Also delicious. If we would have known about Capriccio the 5 days prior we were in Destin, we might have been there every morning. It's very understated from the outside as part of a strip mall, but definitely worth the trip! Great staff! Friendly owner! It's definitely rare to find a 5 star restaurant on yelp nowadays, but it's not hard to see why this place deserves the 5 stars. The owner is such a character - he's very personable and comes to check on you and make sure that your order is everything you're asking for. I've also been more into coffee lately and really appreciate the fact that they have great gourmet coffee here rather than your standard diner coffee. So good that I actually bought some beans to make some at home. Their brunch/lunch menu is quite varied as well, especially with some great fresh salads (the Destin and the Ocean salads are on point), yummy sandwiches on freshly house-made bread, and light crepes. This place is a go to for a refreshing and light lunch! The prices are decent and the service is great. The food is delicious - and I love supporting small mom and pop shops. This place definitely lives up to it's high ratings. While vacationing here, we decided we wanted something light for lunch since we usually went all out for dinners. We did some Yelp searched and decided on this quaint little deli. Its right off Hwy 98, close to all the hustle and bustle, but far enough to feel like you are not in a touristy area. We arrived at lunch and there was a little line, but it moved fast. We were worried we wouldn't have a place to sit, but luckily a spot opened up in time. The service was excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. On to the food. We ordered a little variety of things. As far as sandwiches go, witht he staffs recommendations, we went with the Mortadella di Bologna and the Cotto & Cheese. Basically a fancy bologna sandwich and ham sandwich. It definitely wasn't Oscar Meyer and both were delicious. They were both served with chips as well. We also tried the Firenze crepe, which had eggs, spinach and cheese. It was a nice, tasty, light crepe and perfect for lunch. We rounded out the meal with a delicious Chicken Caesar Salad. Everything we had hit the spot, and didn't weigh me down. This is ONLY my second time having a crepe and actually loved this savory version. The chef had concocted his own hot sauce to pair and kindly asked if I'd like to try some. Another new restaurant in Destin. If you have read my ratings before you know that I only have two ratings: they are I will never go back or I can't wait to go back. This restaurant falls into the I can't wait to go back. The restaurant's menu is very creative and the atmosphere is awesome. The seafood is fresh and prepared exactly in a way that appeals to me which is sautéed. Most places that have great entrées sometimes miss their mark on appetizer salads and desserts. Not at this restaurant as they knocked it out of the park in every area of the menu. The service from the staff is exquisite also. Many of the members of the staff come from the cruise industry. I was told by one staff member that the chef is also a product of the cruise industry. Another great addition to a town who has so many great choices for the culinary palate. read more
